How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt was a beautiful space in a central location but the staff were what really makes it special. We had a meal there on one of the nights and it was exceptional. The breakfasts each morning were delicious with homemade elements that varied daily. Definitely an oasis to return to each day.

It was not consistent with booking data. Suit was not too small for family.
Hello, thank you for your very harsh comments. I should point out that you had booked for 3 people and that you turned up with 4 people, which could have given you the right to cancel, but we have arranged your suite accordingly. Your note on cleanliness is not acceptable in relation to the marvellous work done by our team. I would remind you that the equipment is equivalent to that of a 4* hotel: bathrobes, make-up mirror, exclusively organic skincare products, hairdryer, mini bar, TV, airco.... I would also like to point out that your rating does not reflect the opinions received by our customers and that this rating penalises the establishment and above all our staff both morally and in terms of employment. Can you tell us what we did wrong with your booking? Alain

Verified reviewThe place was absolutely beautiful, the room was very comfortable we got the bigger room with 2 beds. I cannot say enough about the kindness and excellent services of all staff. The owner, Alan, was always available for everything and anything you may need. Breakfast was very good, assortment of breads and other typical moroccan pastries, and fresh yogurt and fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee was great! On our day back our flight was not until 11 pm so Alan allowed us to stay in the lobby, away from the heat and a midafternoon thunderstorm. The location is great plenty of shops and restaurant nearby with traditional Moroccan food. Just follow the wall!!!! The mint tea is excellent!!! Thank you all for making our stay so special!!!

The stairs would be no good for elderly travelers
Thank you so much for sharing these moments with us. As for the stairs, the Riads are all designed in much the same way and we don't have the option of a lift Alain and his team

Verified reviewEverything about this property is excellent. It is in a great location away from the bustle of the streets. It has a lovely staff who go out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast is a traditional Moroccan breakfast with fresh homemade yoghurt and local honey, amongst other things. The rooms a beautifully painted in a traditional style with clean linen provided daily. The staff are always happy to help and use their local knowledge to advise on what to do and where to eat. I recommend this hotel as a great base to explore Marrakesh and its amazing streets. 10 out of 10

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Riad Eloise and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The location was optimal, just a short walk from the souks, with taxi ranks nearby to travel further afield. The staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating! We really felt taken care of, with the owner and concierge bending over backwards to make our stay great. We ate at the restaurant for one evening meal which was probably the best meal we had during our whole stay in Marrakech. The breakfast was also delicious. The building has a beautiful roof terrace area with comfortable seating, hammocks and a wide city view. When we return to Marrakech we will definitely be staying here again.

The location was beautiful and relaxing, it was even more than our expectations. Breakfast was nice and we could reach every point of interest in a few minutes walk.

Verified reviewVery clean and good friendly staff.. Great breakfast. walkable distance from Medina. Safe / homely Went as 5 families with kids - youngest 11...
Pool is small and not heated; but hardly anytime for that given the busy market around. No lifts - so be mindful if you are booking with anyone who may need help climbing stairs. Of course contacting the property to ensure a lower level room might help. All Riads are small houses by definition and I am not sure you will find one in any. Cars stop about 100 meters from this place. Again, they is the nature of old city / Medina. just fyi.. Just plan accordingly - no heavy luggages that you can't drag or carry.

Thank you for this wonderful feedback, please help us to do better by telling us what you missed in terms of equipment, because for a Riad we think that everything is complete, but your visit with us is seen with new eyes and so your feedback on this point would be beneficial to us. Alain

Verified reviewLoved the breakfasts and the roof terrace. Our room was very nice. The staff were beyond great and the location was perfect. It was very quiet at night so sleep wasn’t disturbed.
The pool was freezing and therefore we couldn’t use it. It’s more ornamental than practical. The Wi-Fi was quite patchy.
Salve and thank you for your feedback, as stated in the description of Riad Eloise, the pool is not heated and is used more during the hot months in Marrakech (which is an advantage). Finally, regarding wifi, I don't think you used the various networks offered when you arrived, as we have had 100GB fibre for 10 years. You should have told us on the spot to rectify the situation. Verified reviewI cannot speak highly enough of the staff, who went above and beyond to retrieve an item that I lost in another part of the city. We were so impressed by the kindness and speed of that action! But they were extremely polite, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Otherwise, the rooms and food were lovely, and the roof terrace was delightful.
The riad was difficult to find, but that is the nature of the Medina! Perhaps a simple specific map to help find the riad would be useful.
Hello, thank you for your lovely feedback, just to point out that you could have seen our specific card in your Bookin.com mailbox that we send to all our customers once your booking is made.

Verified reviewThe owner and staff were very helpful in arranging drivers and an outing to Essaouria. The roof terraces were very quaint and with great views or the medina. The location was close to the medina withour being in the noise of the medina...our room was very quiet even though we had a big window for fresh air.
The bathroom door opened into the bathroom which was too small for two people to be in there and open the door at the same time. It would work out so much better if the door opened outwards. There were 3 of us so we could have used 3 towels, not just one or 2. the breakfast was pleasant up on the roof terrace but average food was served; I feel like the breakfast at another riad I've stayed was more elaborate.
Hello, it's a shame you didn't enjoy our breakfast table, where I would like to point out that many customers are very happy because everything is homemade, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt made every day in the kitchen, pancakes with a thousand holes : Baghrir, flaky pancakes: Msemmen, bread: khubz, semolina cake: Harcha, pannecake, cake: kika, mint tea, coffee, honey, jam, amlou, laughing cow, cheese, butter, olive oil and omelette on request. I don't think I can offer anything else for a Moroccan breakfast: Ftour. Alain (it's a shame you only had this meal once). On the other hand, each room has 4 towels and the staff are at your disposal 24 hours a day for supplements.

Verified reviewWe were served with two different breakfast menus for the two days we were there...It was simply delicious. The host and staff are really attentive and friendly. Riad Location is strategic & close to parking area.
Parking space wasn't easy to find and navigating through the super busy traffic in Marrakech to find them is really challenging.
