How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewDelicious home made breakfast. Could be taken anywhere within the hotel, either in your room, on a balcony, downstairs in one of the courtyards or in our case we took it up on the fabulous roof top terrace overlooking the Medina and Atlas Mountains.

Verified reviewAbsolutely magical! Le Farnatchi is hands down one of the most beautiful and memorable places I’ve ever stayed. Tucked down a peaceful street in the heart of Marrakech, its location is perfect, serene and quiet, yet just moments from the hustle and bustle of the medina. The Riad itself is a masterpiece. Every corner feels like a curated art museum, with elegant design, spacious rooms, and plenty of privacy. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the whole space has a calming, luxurious atmosphere. What really sets Le Farnatchi apart is the service. The staff are exceptional, genuinely warm, attentive and thoughtful. The door men will walk you to a spot you have asked about to make sure you don't get lost. A special thank you to Sayeda, who worked so hard to get us into the restaurants we were keen on. You’re made to feel like royalty from the moment you arrive. The food here is also outstanding. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, delicious, beautifully presented, and full of local recipes and produce. I would also recommend using the spa and their own restaurant which has a peaceful rooftop option. If you’re coming to Marrakech and want somewhere truly special, stay at Le Farnatchi. You can undoubtably find a cheaper Riad in Marrakech, but if this falls in your budget then you are guaranteed a truly unforgettable and relaxing holiday. I hope to return.
Literally nothing. I felt that I was constantly going around saying how perfect it was. I can't imagine think of a single thing I didn't like about this Riad.

Verified reviewBeautiful Riad with very friendly staff. Great location. We appreciated the roof terrace with views over the entire city.
Unfortunately, our room had only a roof window, so no views. Breakfast was very basic.

Verified reviewWhen we arrived and were guided through the bustling alleyways through a heavy wooden door, it felt like walking into another world of peaceful tranquility with an incredible feeling of warmth and welcoming faces. The weight of the stressful journey was truly over, The attention to detail within these walls is quite mind blowing, my daughter and i were in awe of the beautiful architecture and authentic carvings and decor. we stayed in suite 1, which was truly incredible and i slept better than ive slept in years. All the staff are warm and friendly, there immediately when you need them, but never intrusive. As for the Spa, we had a few treatments which were amazing too, particularly the Hamman for2. I loved every minute of our trip and will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you 🙏

Verified reviewI was completely blown away by Le Farnatchi! I booked a last minute trip and came in early, arriving at 1030a or so. Had no expectation of being able to access my room (and offered to pay if it made a difference) but they were able to get me in right away, with a lovely mint tea service welcome. The room was PHENOMENAL - like, took my breath away - a massive living room, bedroom and gorgeous bathroom upstairs, and a private rooftop patio. Floored. Absolutely floored. I felt completely safe at all times, in and outside the riad, but staff always offered to walk me to dinner or other locations to make sure that I didn't get lost. Super kind. I can't say enough good things about the staff who took care of everything I asked, including transport to and from the airport. Beyond these taxi trips, I spent my days walking because everything was easily walkable - museums, palaces, the square, many many souks, and all the many restaurants I visited. It felt like the perfect location because everything was so close by but it's just a couple turns away from the noise so the rooms and the courtyard are silent. Really just a perfect place. Will always come back here.

Verified reviewWe stayed here 18 years ago and loved it! That’s why when we returned to Marrakesh (it took for to long) we did not hesitate to book La Farnatchi. It did not disappointed! The place is stunning and as soon as you walk through the amazing front door, you feel at home. The team are truly the icing on the cake tho! They can not do enough for you. It feels like NO is not in their language! Many members of the team have been at Farnatchi since day 1 and it really shows. James, the owner is most charming and did me a huge favour because he heard that I was stuggling to secure 80 bottle of champagne l needed for the for my birthday party that I was throwing for 30 people in rental place near by. Safe to say my celebration would not have been as much fun without those 80 bottles! Thank you so much James and the whole team!

Verified reviewThe calmness and quietness of this place, just a lovely little escape from the craziness just outside its walls. Brilliant staff especially Saida, who checked us in, and never say no to any requests, always happy to help with everything, from changing sleepers sizes, to booking our treatment at the spa.
We had a lovely suite, almost faultless, however, we think, maintenance is an issue as we’ve noticed few things that have not been fixed or replaced perhaps, i.e. taps covered in limescales. For a massive room, we wish there was a kettle/teabags available in the room. We love a cuppa before bed and didn’t want to hassle staff to bring us tea late at night. There’s also no fridge in the room, would be nice to have a cold drink especially on a hot day.
