How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewStaying at this Riad felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. It’s a simple place, but very clean and comfortable. The real highlight is the staff, friendly, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is right in the heart of the Medina, which is amazing because you’re just steps away from all the main tourist attractions. The Medina’s narrow streets can be a bit tricky to navigate. GPS doesn’t work well here, and there are no signs on the door, so it can be easy to get lost. I highly recommend contacting the Riad in advance to get clear directions it will save you a lot of time and confusion. Despite that small challenge, staying here is definitely worth it. The charm, hospitality, and central location make it a wonderful place to experience the city.

Verified reviewThe staff are wonderful! Very helpful. Breakfast is filling and nutritious (egg, toast, juice, tea); the riad is very central as it’s in the Medina. Great A/C; dark and quiet room.
If someone wants to nitpick little things, fine. I choose to focus on the wonderful staff and making my stay a comfortable and relaxing one!

Verified reviewFor those who have never visited Marrakesh, I recommend staying at this riad for its excellent location and the hospitality of the staff. It's a great cost-benefit option. The breakfast is fantastic and served on the rooftop. I requested an earlier service due to commitments, and they accommodated me, which added positively to my overall experience. The riad has both larger and smaller rooms. The entire place is very quiet—a peaceful retreat from the chaos of the streets and markets, yet still within walking distance of the city's main attractions. I traveled back to my country in the early hours, and the transfer was provided safely and punctually.. Congratulations on the hospitality—until next time!

Verified reviewBreakfast was great, very generous portions and nice variety. Service provided by Mohammed was excellent, he was friendly, attentive and eager to help since the first moment, also, he provided me with a map and marked the top attractions in the city and indicated how to get around town, he even helped understand how prices work in local shops and zoques. In short, Mohammed's help & service made me feel at home and I'm sure future guests at Riad Jaime will have an amazing experience with Mohammed.

Verified reviewI really can't recommend Riad Jaime enough!!! It's amazing! I'm a female alone and came very late to Riad Jaime, and they were extremely nice and respectful, making sure to meet all my needs!! Breakfast, on the beautiful terrace, made at the moment I went to eat ( boiled eggs burning hot, coffee freshly made, just squeezed orange juice, sweet and savory variety).. With a late check out I was also offered the typical mint tea with the staff, that even went with me to a genuine berber pharmacy where I was again spoiled with a detailed explanation of the several products! I will most definitely stay there again and recommend them to all my friends!!!! Thank you for everything Fatima and Rhouad ( I hope I have the names right... :) )
There's nothing not to like!

Verified reviewCentral to main market, staff friendly; the breakfast was ok, but the selection limited .People were kind and helpful, especially the ladies. There are also 2 guys there, one is very helpful and friendly, the other one very lazy. We needed to wake him up at 08:30 on our departure day to help us with the taxi ( we also talked with him the day before, but in vain). Unfortunately, we also tipped him like many others, but he didn t deserve it. In the end, he asked me to take a photo of my booking reservation, and he evaluated the property himself from my account :)). Please do not show them your booking account if asked, they have all the reservation details in their systems.

Verified reviewI showed at the property to find out that they have no available room for me due to overbooking. They were not very helpful and just offered me a refund. It was almost midnight and I had no place to stay. Luckily I manage to book another amazing riad Le Singe Rose. U returned to this riad in the morning because I forgot the phone charger there, and It looked like a real mess with some guests being visibly unsatisfied with the service. At the end I was happy not to spend the night at this place.

Verified reviewOk, out of eleven Riads I have stayed in Marrakech this one was the worst. For starters it is impossible to find with the address given with the booking not matching the address of the property and all digital maps (the booking.com, google and Apple) giving different and wrong locations. Only possible to find if you engage local louts and those get shirty with you unless you hand over money... Then the actual door has no label / name above it! Once inside you are in a featureless building save for a few framed photos. Dark and grim. Roof top terrace offers a whiff of sewage and surrounding buildings are in ruin. There seems to be no non-smoking policy and we could smell the cigarette smoke most of the night and in the morning. Ah, don't expect bottle of water or WiFi in the room. The guys that try to turn it are ok, maybe not at fault but they are struggling to deliver. Orange juice in the morning was from a carton and we only ended up getting a couple of yoghurt pots as we needed to leave by 8am and they could not give us breakfast before. Finally it is overpriced. AVOID! AVOID!

Verified reviewGood breakfast on the terrace. And the staff is trying their best.
The room had only a tiny window, so very dark. The bathroom drains were clogged and smelled very bad. The riad was very difficult to find the first day particularly rolling my suitcase around the streets of the Medina. The price is quite high for a riad of this category.
