How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOur stay at Riad Jenaï was truly fantastic with our host Reda. He picked us up and helped carry our luggage through the streets and always made sure we had everything we needed. The daily breakfast was delicious with a large variety of food and drinks, and the also daily room cleaning was great. Reda gave us local recommendations and educated us on caution as well. The rooms were very spacious and had working air conditioning thankfully, and the riad was perfectly located right inside the old town, making everything within walking distance. The entire Riad is peaceful and clean, would highly recommend for people traveling to Marrakesh!

Verified reviewAmazing stay at Jenaï. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous communal area, pool an absolute blessing in the summer heat, and the staff.. above and beyond!. Yannick extremely hospitable and Reda just the loviest man, nothing too much trouble. The cleaning lady so lovely and put all our things away neatly. Only 4 rooms.. feels like a home away from home.
Nothing !.. just be aware don’t take credit card.

Verified reviewRiad is very well named ; very traditional , atmospheric and the staff genuine & honest. From arriving to leaving we were made to feel very much at home, Yannick is a charming host and Reda is the most helpful young man : nothing is too much trouble for him. Our room was on top floor, bit of a climb but then we had convience of the sun terrace and pool area. Room cleaned daily & breakfast fresh & traditional. Pool towels provided. Also, the honestly bar is a great idea, cool drinks available at reasonable prices. They really have thought of everything. Thankyou .

Verified reviewThis place was the best one we have ever stayed no questions, an incredible riad in the very heart of the Medina of Marrakech. It's a true opportunity to escape the city's hustle and relax in such a stunning place, or cool off from the Moroccan sun in the rooftop pool overlooking the Medina. The owner, Yannick, is very kind, he greeted us upon arrival and did everything to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Reda for the Moroccan tea and his tips on what to visit in Marrakech, as well as how not to get lost. The room were really beautiful with everything you need during your stay. This place is a must have if you're planning your visit to Marrakesh you wont be dissapointed.

Thank you very much for your comment and especially for Reda. He is an invaluable collaborator. We are delighted that you were able to appreciate the Riad's location, at the gateway to the souks while remaining calm.

Verified reviewOur stay was wonderful at this riad, the service was outstanding. Yannick and Reda were so helpful and friendly during our stay offering tips on places to eat and go to buy spices. They always asked about us as I got sick for a couple of days and Yannick even went out of his way to get dinner in for us one night. It was nice to come home at the end of the day to mint tea and cookies relaxing in the courtyard. The lady who made up our room (sorry I can't remember your name) did a beautiful job. She even folded our clothes professionally and tidied everything. Our room was the Terrace, on the upper floor of the riad. Lots of stairs to climb if you are in this room, so beware. However, the exercise was good and we had a lot of extra room with 2 sofas and a king size bed. We were supposed to stay in another smaller room, but I asked about a larger room since we had 4 pieces of luggage to store coming from Portugal. The pool area was lovely and heated with lounge chairs and hats for the sun. Breakfast was freshly made every morning with juice, pancakes, cheeses, breads, sometimes eggs, coffee and tea, A little heavy on the carbs, but in Europe and Morocco that seems to be the norm. More than enough to start your day, The riad was in a good area in the medina near the souks and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks to everyone at the riad for making our stay so special. We hope to be back in the future.
The wifi could be a little spotty at times, otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay very much. There wasn't much to not like.

Verified reviewWe adored Marrakech but what made it really special was our RIAD. A little whiskey with Yannick and late night chat. Dip in lovely little pool after fab breakfast overlooking rooftops of the city and then off into the magic that is that place. Amazing. Great location and Rada can’t do enough for you organising maps and tuc tucs! It’s just ace. We will always stay with Yannick ❤️
What a pleasure and what happiness you give us! We thank you for everything! These words mean so much to us when the greatest joy was welcoming you. Here's to the next Irish whiskey we drink together! ❤️❤️❤️

Verified reviewGreat rooftop pool and sun lounge area. The pool is small, but big enough to cool down.
The accommodation is in the heart of the bustling old town and difficult to find on first arrival, so very reasonably priced pick up, arrange by the Riad, from the airport or train station is strongly recommended.

Verified reviewWonderful stay, fantastic room, quiet, dark & private. Great house keeping, wonderful host, couldn’t do enough for us, booked restaurants & a massage. Made a delicious breakfast with the best coffee I’d had in Morocco. The riad was so calm in the chaos, a little tricky to find at first but you just need to get your bearings. Felt very safe staying here & would highly recommend 😊
Shame plunge pool was under maintenance but we were notified & any one who gets to experience it with future bookings - the roof terrace is gorgeous!

Verified reviewWe loved everything. The rooms were beautiful and had large bright windows that opened onto the central courtyard, which had lemon trees and birds chirping in them. The rooftop pool and terrace were lovely as was the little honesty bar. Just a wonderful atmosphere. We had a lovely terrace in between our rooms and even had breakfast there a couple of times. The staff , especially Redar, were exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. They couldn’t have done enough and when we return to Marrakesh, there’s only one place for us to stay.
