Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandEverything was fine but the breakfast could be a little more varied from day to day -that is why I give 9 not 10 points.
Very pleasant place ,full of local character .The people who work there are very helpful and make you so welcome !! A special big thank you to the gentleman who works a night shifts & breakfast time ( sorry , but I cannot recall his name right now) who did not speak much of English, but was always so helpful ,smiling & trying his best to communicate with us to make our stay more pleasant & trouble free. The location is just great too ! If we would ever go back to Marrakesh we would certainly like to stay there again !

United KingdomThe swimming pool on the roof terrace was in a corner and enclosed in (Retractable) glass). Not sure how much sun you would get there. There were only 2 sunbeds and they were located on top of a steep spiral staircase. Would not be able to go up there if you are not nimble and slim. There were some nice tables and chairs on the "lower" roof terrace, but the view is over rooftops and the palace walls, so not ideal for watching the sunset.
Great location as it was quiet and only 10 - 15 min walk to the main square or even shorter to some of the palaces. Omar was very helpful and attentive. The room was spacious and breakfast had small variations every day. Delicious orange juice and fruit salad.

CanadaThe only small thing is we thought there would be a functional jacuzzi on the roof, and it was there, but it was not heated, so we did not end up going in it. It was unclear but it seemed maybe they only had it on in the summer?
It was very quiet and removed from the chaos. The staff was very attentive. It was clean and beautiful.

CanadaShower didn’t drain that well and water would accumulate. The fridge in the room should have a sign saying you will be charged. Water should be complimentary. Also we opted not to have our rooms cleaned on a daily basis and didn’t have the full breakfast for 3 days, we could have been given a pass on the sprite and water but minor point. Also I would suggest giving new guests a quick orientation of the room.
Staff were fantastic especially Omar! He went above and beyond to make us comfortable including giving us a breakfast snack early before breakfast hours!

United KingdomPrices for trips etc expensive via the riad compared with travel agent or booking direct. Very steep narrow spiral staircase to the upper deck of the roof terrace.
Great location and a lovely riad. Tucked away so relatively quiet but still close for attractions, souks, restaurants etc. The team were all super helpful and friendly.

IrelandIt is a beautiful Riad in a great location - nothing to dislike. We were able to walk to all the sights easily.
The Riad was very comfortable- a home from home. It is beautifully decorated with super facilities and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning. Breakfast was provided even when we had to leave on early morning excursions. Maryam , Omar and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I really have to compliment both Maryam and Omar. They were very engaging, friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. We had a delicious dinner on one of the nights - the best meal we had in Marrakech. Don't miss it!

New ZealandNothing.
We had such an amazing holiday here! Both Mustapha's made us feel so welcome and a part of the family during our stay. The Riad is lovely with a beautiful rooftop area and and nice cold pool as well. Mustapha the manager was great at suggesting and organising day trips and excursions throughout our time in Marrakech while Mustapha the attendant was so helpful and kind and our son has made a friend for life! The location was amazing and just a short walk away from everything we needed. Riad Kale Polis helped us create such amazing family memories of our time in Marrakech. I'm sure with the way our kids talk about this place they will be back someday again!

United KingdomThiight we were offered a complimentary coffee on arrival only to find out had to pay for it the next day: just changed the moment. The meal was really not great and the wine expensive amd no water is complimentary. Taxi to the airport was way overpriced but easy as the Riad booked it and then helped us with both our bags, so helpful and guess worth the extra cost.
Beautiful inside the courtyard. Room was wonderful. Mustafa, the reception guy, was so helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him. Nice surprise to find the fabulous breakfast included in the price.

United KingdomIt was a bit tricky to find as the gps on my phone wasn't working and you could not drive a car up to it. Though once I found it (3 minute walk from road) it was a delightful and romantic location away from the hustle and bustle.
It was so peaceful there and I loved the rooftop pool and lounge. Miriam was so welcoming and really helped direct me around the town giving me a map. The welcome afternoon tea was a lovely touch and meant a lot to this one hot and tired traveller. She also booked an airport transfer which was very relaxing.

United KingdomThe staff were truly amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The riad soon felt like home with everyone being respectful of the peace and that exuded from the experience. The rooftop terrace is a tranquil haven from the hubbub of the Medina and perfect for quiet reading, sunbathing and relaxation. The location was perfect too and always just a gentle stroll from everything you'd want to experience in Marrakech.

United KingdomWe had the most fantastic stay at Riad Kale Polis. Everyone is very welcoming, friendly and helpful and was attentive to our needs. We were welcomed with Moroccan mint tea on our arrival and throughout our stay they answered our questions and were so kind and helpful. I stayed in the Riad on my birthday and they very kindly left a sweet box of biscuits in the room - details like this when staying in a hotel are wonderful. It felt so homely and comfortable. It also felt very safe and secure. The room was a great size and the beds were comfortable, the breakfast that is included was lovely and the communal spaces on the rooftop and in the courtyard were wonderful. There was a nice, small pool on the roof which was great to dip into and cool off from a day spent in the sunshine. The location of the Riad is fantastic - a very short walk from the Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace and Saadian Tombs. It is also a short walk from the souks, Jemaa El-Fnna Square and Koutoubia Mosque. We also did two trips with Get Your Guide and the pick up location is at the roundabout at the end of the street. It is an excellent location and extremely convenient. The Riad itself is peaceful and calm. A great place to rest and recuperate from the hustle and bustle which is just outside. I would highly recommend staying at Riad Kale Polis, it felt like a home away from home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A huge thank you to the wonderful team who made our trip so special!

United KingdomNothing negative at all, it was brilliant.
We couldn't have had a better placed Riad. Our hostess was extremely kind and accommodated us so very well. It was my daughters birthday and they made her a delicious cake to celebrate. I cannot reccommend this riad enough. Only minutes from the Ferblantiers square and a 5 minute walk to Place Jamma el Fnaa, amazing position, quiet and friendly people living in the street. We had restaurants and shops in Ferblantiers and ate and took cocktails in several of these. Service and prices were excellent.
