Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalNothing in particular.
This riad is full of charm, conveniently located in the heart of the magical Tétouan Medina. The rooftop offers stunning views —perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. As host Mohammad was amazing. A memorable experience!

The riad is located in the medina . It was difficult to find it. The room had all the basics I needed. There is also a roof terrace but we could not be there due to raining. The Royal Palace is some 10 minutes walking away. The staff-members were friendly, the breakfast basic but okay. I could stay here again.

SpainIt's a little bit tricky to find it in the medina because the gps stops at another point, but if you ask around people will tell you where it is, it has a big sign on the door, it's a big metal door. The stairs were very steep to get in the room, a little tricky if you have mobility issue. For one night it was a very good choise.
The room was really good, a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The staff was super helpful and nice, I had to print my plane ticket and they did it for me. The breakfast was traditional and very good (marrocan bread, butter, jam, honey, olives, cheese, tea) you can have it on a beautiful terrace, and also he agreed on some changes I needed for my breakfast.

RussiaIt's not about dislikes, just to know: The room has no keys (which didn't affect our stay) We managed to use only one socket - the rest are too wide for the plug There's only small portion of champoo and a soap, no shower gel The bed is a bit noisy for a couple;)
The host and his wife are amazing. They were really welcoming. The first night we had a home-made dinner with them and it was really tasty. The riad and the room are nice, we felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast is ok with fried eggs and it's served on a wonderful terrace, which I really really liked. It's not a luxury stay, but it's fair and you get a bit more for the price you pay. And they do have a hairdryer!!! I would definitely recommend this place and will stay here once more. And so do the other guests of the riad)

BelgiumOne of the worst experiences I have ever had in the country. In every sense of the word. I may just be unlucky that day. Beds are horrible, noice at night. Bottles of alcohol everywhere in the morning. This whould never happen again! Out if respect I will not out any pictures for now. The person running this place know that as he was in room next to the Roof, door open, completely blacked out! Terrible and unsafe!!!
The ad, the first contact and location. Roof is nice except the owner/manager turns it into horrible party place.

United KingdomYou get what you pay for I suppose. No comms from owner prior to arrival, despite my messaging him with a question. The person in charge said the owner was away, and seemed not to be expecting us. Riad was difficult to find because the street name on the site is transliterated differently to on all maps. Room was basic and we couldn't use electrical sockets as it had the old wider 2-pin system. The bathroom was awful and actually dangerous - exposed wires coming out of the wall and bare light bulb about a metre away from the shower, which has no cubicle or curtain. For breakfast, we had to go to a different riad. Breakfast was poor.
Nothing. We paid for 2 nights, but left after just one.

United StatesLocation was hard to find & not near restaurants/sites. Street noise was bad and kept us up until after 1am Rooftop furniture was worn and dirty. Kitchen was a mess. Breakfast was not available until 9am. We and other guests were there before 9 (they had a bus to catch) food and coffee/tea did not come until after 9:30. Breakfast was fine - I was even given a second cup of coffee! There were children living? there - toys were in front of steps to rooftop - had to maneuver around them to get up and down.
The staff was just okay - checked us in but not welcoming. We felt more like an inconvenience. The lobby and room was close to pictured but worn. Stairs to the room were steep, dirty and uneven. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. Water was hot. Had to ask for soap and toilet paper.

BelgiumThe place was extremely dirty and the smell just unbearable. However the worst is the owner mohamad who is organizing parties on the rooftop and drinking alcohol from the morning as well as using other illegal substances and screaming aggressively all day and night long. Forget about having any comfort, any sleep or feel safe there as there is traffic of strangers all the time. He is also cheating with prices - telling you one and then asking double in the end (airport transfer). this person called mohamad has zero respect towards his guests.
Nothing to be liked there- best was that I left it. This place should be removed from booking.com

United KingdomAlthough check in is from 12, my room wasn’t ready. I came back at 1 and it still wasn’t ready which I found difficult as I came just for one night and needed to have shower and change my clothes. You have to ring the bell all the time when you are coming as key is not provided and it took them quite a long time to open in the evening. In the morning when I was leaving no one was in reception (8:30am) although I was promised someone will help me to get out from medina. No one reacted when I was using bell in reception and they answered only when I rang the bell by the door. The bed was horrible. Super soft mattress and every tome when I moved it makes terrible sound. I haven’t slept at all. No English spoken in property unfortunately and it’s a bit noisy as there is mosque opposite of property and building site next street so you can hear people talking very loudly late evening and early morning.
Nice terrace and room looks lovely. AC works perfectly. The owner was super lovely, upgraded my room and offered fruit when I came back on evening
