We absolutely loved our stay at this Riad! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were staying with family. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They truly made our experience in Marrakech feel special. Special thanks to Anwer and Aziz. Also Houssaine, Fatim Zehra, Ghizlaw. The location is also perfect. Tucked away in a quiet alley, it's a peaceful retreat from the bustling medina, yet it's just a short walk to all the main attractions. We were able to easily explore everything on foot. The access alley is narrow,. as is for many Riads, which can be intimidating, but we walked back to the Riad late at night and always felt safe, no problem. Our room was beautiful and kept impeccably clean. The Riad itself is stunning, with a lovely courtyard where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. This Riad is a true gem and we can't recommend it enough. We will definitely be back!

The food and staff were very helpful. We unexpectedly had to extend our stay and they were very accommodating! The little pool was great for cooling off from walking around in the heat. The room and riad were very comfortable and pretty.

Very beautiful quiet riad, in a great location inside the medina. The alley may through you off a bit but it’s not dangerous. The breakfast is definitely worth it; very good quantity and lovely orange juice. There is a beautiful terrace with a nice view and privacy. The best thing about the riad is definitely the two hosts, Houssaine and Houssaine which they were always very helpful. We had lots of lovely chats with them and feel like they made our trip very special. This is definitely not a goodbye!

With a panoramic view over the city’s rooftops and the distant Atlas Mountains, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Whether you're sipping mint tea at sunset or enjoying a quiet morning, the terrace offers a serene escape with stunning vistas. Breakfast each morning was another treat — generous, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. From traditional Moroccan breads and pastries to fruit and yogurt, everything was delicious and nourishing, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. Just a short note about the Riad's location. While pointed out as somewhat "difficult", it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby streets, and offers a calm and secluded atmosphere, yet remains just a short walk from the main attractions. It’s a true oasis where you can enjoy the best of Marrakech while retreating to a quiet, relaxing space when needed. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authenticity, comfort, and a touch of Moroccan charm.

Everything was excellent . I highly recommend a stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and efficient. The accommodation is clean and very comfortable. Easy to get around the Medina . Definitely would stay again. .

Had a lovely stay at this Riad in Marrakech. The location was perfect—right in the heart of the Medina, making it easy to explore the city. The place was very clean and well-kept, but what truly stood out was the friendly and helpful staff who made us feel like we were at home. Would definitely come back!

Bed and pillows were very hard making sleep difficult.

The property was lovely. Breakfast was delicious and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Surprisingly easy to navigate to and from the property even though it was right in the heart of the busy souk.

Unfortunately no bar. Would have been nice but tbh it didn’t spoil our stay at all.

We mistook the water pool to be hot and it wasent , so not sure if that was us reading wrong but the time of year we went , it wasent ideal but visually, its a beautiful small pool that in the summer heat i imagine would be a great asset.

Location is excellent and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff here are top class, very helpful, informative and kind. We loved our 6 day stay here and would highly recommend it as a base to discover the fascinating city of Marrakech.

Everything worked for us, we have no complaints with this accommodation. The staff were the real stars. We would certainly return to La Gazelle du Sud.
