Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesThe location was very tacky and in between streets were very dirty could easily get lost.At night can get very scary and dangerous.
The staff was really helpful and coperative. The room was very HOT as I travelled in June it had AC but it was still warm. The breakfast provided was very nice. The price is reasonable for the location as it is pretty much near the Medina.

CanadaCan't think of anything at the moment.
Hosts are kind and helpful. Riad is quiet and clean, breakfast is a great way to start the morning with company of the house cats. Room and bathroom were cleaned everyday with new towels etc. AC worked and was helpful some nights. Great value for money.

ItalyAs is common with traditional riads, the room and bathroom windows open onto the interior courtyard, which can limit air circulation. It’s part of the local architectural charm — just something to be aware of in advance.
This charming riad is located just beyond the bustle of the old medina, which makes it a peaceful yet convenient base — easily reachable on foot. It has a warm, homey feel, with small but cozy rooms that reflect traditional Moroccan style. Breakfast is homemade and served on a lovely rooftop terrace, the perfect spot to ease into the day. The staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home.

CanadaThe breakfast could benefit from offering more protein options, such as eggs, as it is currently quite carbohydrate-focused. I would also like to share a suggestion for service improvement. I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 PM and was quite thirsty. While the staff member Adnane was very polite, professional, and attentive, I was surprised that instead of offering a glass of water, I was advised to exchange currency to purchase one. At that hour, navigating the nearby area — which can feel a bit like a maze — to find a shop was not ideal, and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to locate a place to buy water. I believe providing basic amenities like drinking water upon late arrival would greatly enhance the guest experience.
The location and the cleanliness.

ItalyThe mattress was too hard for my taste. There was also a very strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom (this may be typical if you stay in some Riads in the Medina). Location is 20/25 minutes walk to Jemaa El Fna Square.
Great value for money - you get what you pay for. Quiet and peaceful, a oasis of tranquillity, very friendly and helpful staff (especially they guy who came to pick me up during the night and let me found a nice breakfast box early in the morning outside my room because I had a early excursion and couldn’t attend the actual breakfast). The next morning breakfast in the terrace was also very nice and lots of variety. Great decorations in the Riad too.

HungaryWould have been nice if you could have the breakfast earlier as 08:30, especially when a day trip is planned
Perfect location, within the Medina and yet not in the center were the Souks are, but still within a walking distance into these vibrating busy area. Khaoula and Adnane were very very helpful with everything we needed.

ItalyTaxis cannot enter all the way, so there’s always a path you need to do by walking and might not feel the safest thing to do at night (but we never had problems). The Riad doesn’t get a lot of light, so it’s a bit cold and humid if you go in winter.
The position is quite central. It’s not very easy to locate at the beginning, but once the receptionist shows you the way it’s quite easy. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. Food is quite good!

Close to the souq area of the city. They offered good moroccan style of breakfast. Special mention to Adnan, he is very helpful, well mannered staff and accommodating to my questions. He met us early in the morning in the alley and offered his personal adaptor for us to use. ❤️

NigeriaWhat I didn't like about my stay was the receptionist, Mariam. She was extremely rude, making the check-in process very painful. There was no clear handover, and for the first 24 hours, I was seriously considering checking out of the facility. After a long ride to Marrakesh, I didn't expect to be treated so poorly. When she asked for my passport, I told her the hard copy was out of reach but I was happy to share a soft copy. However, my internet was not working well in the facility. For about 20 minutes, she kept pestering me, making awful gestures and unsupportive remarks. Her mannerism was very poor, unlike anything I had experienced in my travels. For this reason, I would not consider Riad lalla as my top choice.
I enjoyed my stay at the Riad lalla, thanks to the warmth and hospitality of Yus and Adanne. They are truly amazing host. Adanne was good company , providing me with water/extension box and engaging in wonderful conversations about Marrakesh, which enriched my experience. Yus provided me with a map and guidance on how to navigate Marrakesh, which proved invaluable throughout my stay. She has reached out to me prior to I getting into the city to support with my transfer , that was very thoughtful. The location of the Riad is fantastic, with historical sites within a 15-20 minute walk, making it an excellent focal point for tourists. The breakfast was delicious.
