How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewStunning stay in a traditional riad. The location was great! Very close to the Koutoubia Mosque (take ear plugs as you do hear calling for the prayers), Jemaa el-Fnaa square and El Badi Palace to name a few. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular Ibrahim and Abdul and breakfast was a delight. Easy to walk everywhere with no problems, but if needed a taxi you just had to venture onto the street and there was a taxi rank there.
Maybe the towels could do with renewing. The decor is so lovely it would be a nice finish to the room. But they didn't bother us.

Verified reviewThe riad was pleasantly quiet and a place to collect ourselves after the busy days of wandering around Marrakech. The breakfast was always delicious and had many traditional Moroccan breads. The pool was an added bonus and improved an already fantastic stay. The bathroom and shower were faultlessly clean and handsome. The staff were very friendly and happy to give advice. It really made the trip staying here! I would fully recommend this riad!
There's really nothing that speaks against this Riad!

Verified reviewClean, conveniently located (walking distance and within 10-15 minutes of the main square, palace and souks) Friendly staff and good breakfast
Slight smell from the shower drain (though this sends to be common in Marrakesh). They gave us a plug/cover for the shower drain which helped though.

Verified reviewI stayed for two nights as a solo female traveller. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate, bed was so comfy and the shower was nice and hot. The breakfast was amazing and very filling. It was easy to find the Riad too and I had the perfect break. Some people mentioned noise from Prayers but I found it no issues at all. Would recommend for sure. Thank you

Verified reviewThe Riad is an exquisitely decorated and homely place situated in an authentically Moroccan neighbourhood that mostly serves locals. It is, in my opinion, the perfect place to be - as you have many storefronts that you can buy water and other basic necessities from, and for the same price that the locals pay. Additionally, it is perhaps the safest area in Marrakesh as it is situated directly across from one of the largest police installations we encountered in Morocco. This super location was minutes away from the lovely Kasbah and Mellah districts, and only a few more minutes away from the Koutoubia Masjid, Djamma El-Fna, and the souks. Despite being surrounded by hustle and bustle, the Riad was remarkably quiet and completely devoid of the noise that permeates much of the city. From the rooftop terrace, one can look out at the palm-tree lined skyline and admire the Koutoubia Mosque’s minaret, listen to the beautiful idhan (call to prayer), and catch some of the most brilliant sunsets available on Earth. If you’re keen and patient, you might even catch a glimpse of the wild peacocks that roam the grounds just in front of the Riad! From the moment we entered the Riad, Ibrahim, Murad, and Abdelhaleem all made us feel as if we were guests not in a hotel, but in their homes. The homeliness of the Riad was increased by the presence of numerous cats who lived on the property and were taken care of by guests and staff. The staff, namely those mentioned above and also Asmaa’, did a great job of attending to our every need and providing us with anything that we asked for. The beds were comfortable, the showers clean and apt, and the A/C was a godsend on the many hot days we spent in Marrakesh. Suffice to say, the amenities leave you wanting for nothing. The Riad was really epitomized by the kindness, friendliness, and downright perfect hospitality of the staff.

Verified reviewReally nice place including communal areas and bedrooms, also good location which was walking distance to a lot of attractions. The best thing about this place is the staff. They welcome you warmly not only at check in but each time that they see you. They were very helpful and made this place special.

Verified reviewService was great, and the location was excellent
Travellers should be made aware in advance that like most riads it is located close to a mosque, and there’s a call to prayer at 4-5 am everyday. It took us by surprise the first night.

Sometimes some ants came at night especially if the light was on but if you leave the light off they don’t come.

Verified reviewLovely small Riad, easy to find and a short walk from centre. Our deluxe room was spacious, with a comfy bed and working air conditioner. The staff were really helpful and friendly, providing excellent service and advice. We had a meal in the Riad on our first evening which was delicious and good value. Breakfast was plentiful and filling and they were kind enough to prepare a pack up on the day we left early for a trip. Would definitely stay again.
The roof terrace was smaller than it appeared on the photos and only had one sun lounger versus the 4 shown in the photos. It was a nice space to enjoy breakfast and could be improved if the washing was placed elsewhere to dry and a few more sun loungers to enjoy the late sun after a day sightseeing. We booked a Hammam and relaxing massage for our day of arrival, but were disappointed as it felt somewhat amateurish.

Verified reviewI had a little trouble finding the place at first but when I texted them for help, it was handeled so quickly and I really appreciated it. I was greated so well with some tea and explainations of the old Medina. The man working was very helpful, helped with getting my bags to my room. Breakfast was very good, the Riad is gorgeous and the room was very clean. I was so comfy I wish I would've booked a longer stay. Thank you for everything :)

Verified reviewStaff extremely helpful and kind. Both reception attendants went above and beyond to make sure that all guests were welcome and had all needs met. Location very good close enough to the Jema el-Fnaa but not too close to keep you up. The room was large and comfortable.
