Amazing staff, so helpful and friendly. Beautiful, quiet place. Delicious breakfast. A little far from the main square and not the easiest to find but an excellent place to stay.

Our stay at Riad Lamalika was absolutely unforgettable. As a couple in our 50s visiting Marrakech for the first time, we were hoping for somewhere authentic, peaceful, and welcoming — and this riad exceeded every expectation. Ghait, the owner, is a fantastic host — warm, helpful, and clearly passionate about his beautiful riad. He took the time to get to know us, offered great local tips, and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Hassan, the porter, was wonderful — always friendly and ready to help, whether it was with our bags, directions through the medina, or just a reassuring presence around the riad. Nothing was too much trouble. And Fati, the chef, is truly special. One evening she made us an incredible tagine — full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and served with such care. It was easily one of the best meals we had in Morocco. Breakfasts each morning were also a joy: everything made with fresh, local ingredients, from homemade breads to seasonal fruits and traditional pastries. Every bite felt thoughtful and nourishing. The riad itself is stunning — full of character, spotlessly clean, and completely peaceful. The courtyard is filled with the sound of birds and the scent of orange blossom, and the rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing with a cup of mint tea. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and full of Moroccan charm. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Riad Lamalika is a true gem, and the team — Ghait, Hassan, and Fati — make it something very special. We will absolutely return.

Nothin! not one single thing I can fault.

Riad Lamalika had everything you could want and more. Multiple places to rest whether in the pool, the rooftop to soak in the sun, the lounge with TV and games and the terrace to eat along with a beautifully presented room. The bedroom was so cosy and we had everything we needed The owner met with us and was incredibly accommodating and offered advise on what to do in the local area as well as prior to arrival helped arrange airport transfer for us to have a seamless and stress free experience from airport to the riad. We were met at the taxi by the amazing Hassan who helped carry our bags and was incredible the whole entirety of our stay. He was on hand to help anytime we needed and guided us to restaurant Limoni on the first night as it was late and we didn’t have our bearings yet. He also offered tea and water and checked in on us to ensure we were having a good time regularly and helped teach us about the local culture which was great. Fati was lovely and cooked an amazing breakfast each morning as well as turning down our rooms spotlessly. Both staff were incredible and made us feel so welcome and comfortable during our stay. The location of the riad was in the perfect spot for us with an easy walk to the Ben Youseff Madrasa and Soukhs with great local restaurants and small shops close by. We received a small goody bag at the end of our stay which really was the cherry on top of the cake concluding our holiday. Ghait the owner helped arrange for our boarding passes to be printed off prior to our flight and helped arrange and early breakfast as well as taxi back to the airport so we could enjoy our final morning before heading home. Overall I couldn’t recommend this place more to anyone thinking of visiting Marrakech! The attention to detail and the genuine care in wanting to look after us as guests was incredible and Ghait, Hassan and Fati treated us like we were family from beginning to end of our stay. We will be coming back here for certain!

The place is beautiful; you really feel at home. The aesthetic stays true to Moroccan culture while adding it’s own unique modern elements which bring everything to life. Hassan was amazing. He looked after us with anything we needed and was INCREDIBLY polite. The property is within walking distance of some places you will want to visit (Ben Youssef Madrassa, Bacha Coffee etc.). We hope to visit again!!

One thing that struck us at first was a bit of culture shock — as Europeans, we’re not quite used to this kind of environment. The Riad itself is a peaceful little oasis: beautiful, clean, calm, and tastefully decorated. But the moment you step outside its doors, you’re immediately immersed in a completely different world: dusty narrow streets, noise, scooters zooming past, kids playing in the alleys — it’s vibrant, chaotic, and intense. The contrast between the serenity inside the Riad and the bustling life outside was quite dramatic. It wasn’t a negative experience at all, but it did take us a couple of days to adjust to this very different rhythm.

We visited Morocco for the very first time — and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we landed, everything was smooth. Our airport transfer brought us straight to the Medina, and right at the drop-off point, a friendly staff member from the Riad was waiting to greet us and walk us through the maze of alleys. From the get-go, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Every question we had was answered with a smile, and the entire staff was genuinely warm and welcoming. Breakfast was a daily highlight — delicious, fresh, and more than enough to fuel us for the day. Our room was spotless, the bed was super comfy — overall, we couldn’t have asked for more. One of our planned outings was to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, which was about a 35-minute walk. As we wandered further out of the Medina, we noticed fewer tourists around, but we never once felt unsafe — the atmosphere remained calm and friendly. Restaurants were a little on the expensive side, and we only came across one place that served alcohol — so if you’re coming to Morocco for parties and cocktails, you might want to rethink that plan. This is more of a place for culture, history, and relaxation. If we ever return to Marrakech (and we hope we do!), we’ll definitely stay at Riad Lamalika again. It’s a relatively new gem of a place — beautiful, comfortable, and run by an amazing team. Highly recommended!

    Nothing, everything was great.

Everything was really awesome. The property is beautiful and clean. The owner (Ghait) was always there or 100% available to accommodate our needs. He helped us print some documents we needed for work. We were able to have a zoom meeting in a private space with AC he has in the Riad. He allowed us to stay longer at no additional cost because we had a late flight. He did way more he had to, to make our experience the best one. Hassan, his right hand was the best. He came to meet us where the taxi left us and did the same when we left. He was always taking care of us and making us feel at home. Ghait, Hassan and the whole staff were really outstanding.

Perfect place to stay for first time in Marrakech. The staff were excellent, really helpful in sorting taxis and suggesting restaurants and activities, very much made us feel at home. The location was brilliant for accessing the medina while also providing a peaceful escape from the busy streets. Breakfast was lovely and the room was clean and cosy. I would without a doubt recommend staying here if you are visiting Marrakech. The service, facilities and experience were 10/10 from start to finish. A transfer option was available for a good price, the breakfast included was amazing, the room was spacious and clean and the overall vibe of the property was extremely relaxing. Ghait was an excellent host with so many recommendations to give during our stay. His enthusiasm for the place that he has transformed shows the pride and respect he holds for it. Alongside the lovely Hassan, the most thoughtful house guard who looked after us everyday, whether he was serving us mint tea whilst we relaxed, walking us to our taxi or being a familiar face to be greeted by when returning to the riad, he never failed to make us smile. Fati met all our needs and always greeted us with a friendly smile, this team made us feel so welcome. As two young girls staying in the midst of the Medina, we felt as though our safety was a priority. The taxi provider given to us by Ghait always accommodated us no matter what time and was always keen to make sure we had our travel plans in order. As a first timer in Marrakech this made the trip easy and stress free. Communication was clear and key to ensuring we would get the best out of our stay. Overall, I will be visiting Marrakech again just for another opportunity to stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, Riad Lamalika speaks for itself but I have attached some anyway!

Step into a little oasis of tranquillity after the madness of the city. Attention to detail - the pictures, plants, wall hangings give that feeling of relaxation. Sit around the pool or relax up on the terrace. A great location - not far from the souks and attractions but quiet and safe. Great breakfast - coffee, orange juice, eggs, fruot and pancakes with different pots of goodies to try - it kept on going! Ghait has been renovating his family home so everything feels clean and fresh. Hassan was charming, he took us to the local area to get our spices as well as making sure we found the taxi area at the end of our stay.

    Nothing really.

The riad is new, clean, quiet, in the heart of the medina and close to everything. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed by a good flagrance. Mohamed, the owner, is really kind and happy to help at any time with any request. He suggested us places to eat/drink plus he helped us buying local sims and booking a taxi from/to the airport. Hassan, the guy helping him, is just special and always there for us. Breakfast is home-made with orange juice, pancakes, fresh fruits, jams, peanut butter, mint tea, local bread. The room is small but comfortable. Everything is as shown in the pictures. Look forward to staying here again.

We missed a bit of diversity in the breakfast, which was the typical breakfast in Morocco (some fresh fruits for instance), BUT the staff was open to suggestions when we asked. It is not the fault of the Riad, but just know there is a street to the Riad with no light, which by night is not great (we put the light of our phones). We felt overall safe as in any other place of the Medina.

We were truly welcomed as friends by the owner and his staff! He was pro active in the communication, had great advices, was available to any questions we had through our stay and really helped us to understand the culture of Morocco, what to do and don't do. The bedding was also amazing. The Riad is truly a quiet and peaceful place where to stay. We were there in February and enjoyed the heating in the chilly nights. Great location to anything in La Medina (maximum 30 min walking North or South, to some major attractions like Jardin Majorelle). We would come back if we can!
