Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaCorrespondence was zero after initial acceptance of reservation. They never replied to numerous messages via email, WhatsApp or via booking.com before we arrived. Entry was via a door bell and someone opening the door remotely. The only time you saw staff was at breakfast. The only time the front desk was manned was as we departed.
Location was perfect for both Medina exploration and pick ups for tours. Pool was good for a cool dip after a day in the souks.

United KingdomWe had a great experience staying with Riad Lena, staff were very welcoming, rooms were beautiful and traditional, and the breakfast included was delightful in the morning, Moroccan pancakes/crepes with mint tea/coffee and orange juice. Definitely recommend and would come back again.

United KingdomPlease please please in a country that has amazing oranges it would make sense to have fresh orange juice in the morning! also I would have welcomed a bit more privacy to the bathroom area as the toilets have doors but not the shower.
Lovely Riad with the typical pool in the middle that gives it that luxury riad feel from the first minute! The staff is lovely and the rooms are perfect despite being a bit small. The layout was good and it was not an issue. The breakfast was amazing bar the orange juice that was not freshly squeeze and tasted vile.

United KingdomThe hotel is not a 4 stars, its traditional but old and. The hot water takes long time to come in shower room and on the sink. There is no door for the shower room. The spa facilities is in another building (I didn't use it). But nothing made me feel upset.
The location is very central, close to the markets and main touristic attractions. The staff on the hotel is very friendly, the communication was easy and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. We loved.

The location is amazing, really close to a taxi stand and right in the beginning of the Medina. We had a great time and the room was really lovely.

United KingdomIt was too quiet, you could hear a conversation on the ground floor from 3 floors up. Felt like we couldn’t relax properly in the room. We were on a romantic getaway ;) and some of facilities needed fixed and updating like the tap that wasn’t attached to the sink and shower holding attachment was broke.
Really good location. Stunning pool. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and were overall very friendly.

United KingdomExact directions from taxi drop off to the hotel. The medina is a labyrinth and it took us a while to find the place. The spa/pool didn't seem to be in use, but we didn't ask about it either.
The location was great, although we didn't realise we would have to walk some of the way from where the taxi dropped us off. The breakfast was simple but very nice, and traditional too. The staff were absolutely lovely! They couldn't have done more for us. The rooms were small but absolutely functional as a place to sleep, very comfy beds and plenty of hot water. We loved the traditional décor of the place, and its location was central to exploring the medieval streets and souks. A great choice of cafes and restaurants very close too. It was quite a culture shock for us, but an amazing experience of such a vibrant place.

United KingdomWiFi isn't working properly but it's the case of most of the roads in Marrakech. Get yourself a local SIM card!
The Riad is situated straight at the beginning of the souks, a very strategic point for taxi pick ups. This was a massive benefit! The Riad itself it's a dream, a quiet place in the heart of the bazaar. The staff is small, you always have 2 or 3 people max around, always keen to help you. They speak a little English so knowing french or a bit of both will be beneficial - the guys are local Massive shout out to Rashid who was always happy to have a chat about Moroccan people, their life and their culture. Breakfast is quite full and served from 8am to 10am. You can also have lunch and dinner with a basic menu, we suggest to go outside to experience the restaurants around the souks. Overall a dreamy accomodation, highly recommended! Fran & Dani

IrelandWould have been nice to have breakfast earlier than 8am. I was leaving twice early so missed breakfast. Also there is a city tax not included in the bill which is about €3 a day.
A nice Riad not too far away from medina. Breakfast was small but filling, and but only between 8 and 10am. A nice plunge pool to jump into and relax after a hot day. The staff were very good to me especially on my last day. Shukran

United KingdomThe road was a little dated and unclean in places, but they did clean the rooms every day. The wifi wasn’t great and the shower temperature didn’t work properly
The location was great, a short drive from the airport and a very short walk to the souks. Our room was literally 5 steps away from the pool which was amazing. The roof terrace was lovely, the hot tub was particularly enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they helped book taxis and offered great restaurant recommendations.
