Very communicative staff, they even arranged a homemade tagine for me when I checked in late in the evening!

My toilet was a bit close to reception/ the kitchen so I felt a bit self conscious

This is a beautiful Riad, a calm haven tucked away from the busy streets of Marrakech. The Riad was charming, clean and comfortable with Mustapha being the perfect host. We were welcomed by Mustapha at the gate and escorted to his lovely Riad. He made our trip perfect, offering advice and guidance on navigating the busy streets of Marrakech. He organised excursions for us and escorted us to the pick up point ensuring we got on the correct transport. We don’t speak the language and found this really helpful! Mustapha made sure we felt at home in his Riad offering the best mint tea (we tried a few and non compared) and crucial advice for a safe and enjoyable experience in Marrakech. It was our first time visiting and without his support and guidance we would have been literally lost. We would highly recommend a stay at Riad Les 5 Soeurs and if we return we would definitely stay here again!

The only down side to the property was the street noise, however given the beautiful structure of a traditional Moroccan Riad I’m unsure how this could be avoided and it certainly didn’t spoil our stay! Marrakech is a vibrant and busy city so noise is to be expected. However, I imagine the noise levels would be even greater staying closer to the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. This Riad was a 20 minute walk away from the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which was fine for us. It is located close to the Bab Aylan gate perfect for airport transport and excursion pick ups.

Despite being close to a busy lane, the Riad was always quiet. The quaint little courtyard was covered, yet still trapped a little sun and heat, and felt very bright and airy. It’s a short walk to the Jemaa El-Fnaa and there’s a lot of shops and stalls nearby. Our host was helpful, and always available either at the Riad or over the phone, and full of lots of helpful tips for the area.

There was nothing I disliked in the property. However, on the original listing it describes the room as having a bath, which is did not.

The Riad was a true gem in the old Medina. The centuries old accommodation is truly beautiful, dressed to give a real sense of traditional Morocco, but with all the modern amenities required by travellers. Rooms and linen were clean and serviced every day. The riad’s manager Mustapha and his sister’s attention to our needs was exceptional. With his extensive local knowledge he was central to organising our activities, all of which were of the highest quality.

Great hosts, comfortable room, excellent dinner with two of our friends on our request. Mustafa is amazing: took us to buy local SIM cards, arranged transportation and walked with us to make sure we were in the right place, and advised us on how to avoid scams. The riad is a classic, 500-year-old home like a little museum, yet with a cozy ambience. A real treat!

    No complaints.

The Riad was an oasis in the ancient & historic Medina. Classical decor, excellent facilities but most importantly the service received from Mustapha & his sister was exemplary. He was so helpful, helping us to navigate our way through the Medina to the main square & the local sights by giving us a map. This was our first visit to Morocco & we really had no idea what to expect. His advice, assistance & offer of being available via WhatsApp if we needed him helped us greatly. The breakfast served every morning was generous & a great start to the days exploring with an assortment of bread & condiments, eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice & great coffee. We also ate dinner & had the tastiest traditional Moroccan tagines, so if you get the opportunity ask Mustapha if his sister can provide an evening meal, this is at an extra cost. The quality of ingredients, generous portions & value for money are second to none. You will not be disappointed! This was perfect for us after a busy day in the Medina. We will definitely be recommending this Riad to our friends & family mainly for the service received from Mustapha and his sister.

    There wasn't anything to dislike.

The Riad was great and really well placed for visiting the heart of Marrakech as it was a short 20 min walk. It was also perfect for excursions as it was only a 5 minute walk to Bab Aylan which is a regular pick up point. The area can be a shock to the senses at first, but it was a lovely place to stay and perfectly placed. We soon got used to the area. Mustapha and his sister were very friendly and helpful. We were delayed very late and Mustapha met us where we were dropped off to make sure we found the Riad, gave us some water and made sure we had a breakfast later than usual on our first day so we could rest. He also gave us tips for getting around, helped us get a taxi and also gave us some advice on how to avoid any issues with people trying to send us the wrong way. We had a great stay and Mustapha and his sister were key to making us feel welcome and at home. If you need any help at all during your stay, Mustapha is there to help.

Our Host Mustapha & sister went above & beyond. Upon arrival we were greeted so nicely & were asked to have a seat. He personally made us coffee. We were not left to be told coffee is here so you can have at will. The Riad is exceptionally clean. There were no any flies or bugs at all. We went upstairs too to the terrace. Absolutely spotless everywhere. Mustapha & his sister really take care of this Riad as if it were their own home. I actually cannot believe how much we have been taken care of. We arrived with no Dhirams at all. We had some which we tipped to our taxi, but no more. We hadn’t eaten since boarding our flight from the U.K. Mustapha personally took me along to show a good place to eat paid the bill. Truth be told, the pizza was so fresh, I thought we were in Napoli. People like Mustapha are extremely rare. This was a bed & breakfast Riad. So for that kind of attention is completely off the chart. He could have simply given us directions to get food. But that’s not what he did. That’s a personal attention to travelers who are in a bit of a jam. Mustapha was always available for advice or any pointers for the stay. Honestly, if needed he would have done anything to help, that’s just his nature. The riad is tucked away from the main road. & once you’re inside this oasis of calm, the hustle n bustle is left outside. This Riad is so so tranquil. It’s even more beautiful, with such caring hosts. You won’t find gems like this Riad, nor the hosts as attentive as they are. We were blown away.

Small with 4 rooms, perfect for a larger family or a group of friends.Nice interior and very chic.Price was the lowest we paid for a Riad stay during our visit to Marrakech.Very clean. Breakfast was excellent with everything a luxurious Marockan Breakfast has to offer. The lady that took care of Breakfast service was very kind and service minded. The Riad is far away from the center just of a busy street we're a lot of people do their everyday shopping, so a lot to see in terms of local every day life. Takes approx 25-30 min to walk to the center, but you get to see a lot of the city on your way 😃.

One small thing to improve would possibly be to put some shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. The Riad is not staffed during the evening and night. We found the kitchen and let our selfs to some water..

The Riad is exceptionally pretty, with nicely chosen decoration and comfort. The shower was so so good, the best I’ve experienced in 11 days of travel for the same category accommodation. Breakfast was really good, and had protein, which is not the case in all Riads/hotels. The staff was also very welcoming, nice and helpful with tips for our trip and helping us rent a car. I would definitely go back to that hotel.
