Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CroatiaTwo small things somewhat bothered us. First, out bathroom would flood after each shower because it was not done properly, so the bathroom floor was wet all the time. Second thing, the room door had no isolation what so ever and it was opposite the reception so when there were late night guests checking-in it was as if a bunch of people are laughing in our room, and I even had to get up and ask them to be a little quiet since we had children sleeping in the room. I think this room was not meant to be for rent but was later arranges in this way.
We stayed here for two nights and would come back again. The place is very beautiful, very peaceful and close to the Essaouira city and beaches. The pool is great addition and the restaurant that offers lunch and dinner is also very nice and it was very convenient since we didn't have to go back to town after an afternoon chill by the pool to have dinner. The breakfast was also very nice. We had a large spacious room on the ground floor. The staff helped us by printing out our boarding passes for our flight back.

United KingdomOnly issue that might have presented itself was our balcony tables were outside another room's window. Luckily it was empty when we were there but we worried that our smoking might have caused discomfort for other people had the room been in use. I fully expected it as we were obviously in Morocco but my mother was still surprised (despite my warning) that there was no alcohol on the menu. This is not an issue but just thought I would mention in case others are looking to bring their British family.
Staff were lovely and helpful, especially since we don't speak Arabic or French, and the food was really good. The rooms were surprisingly cool despite no aircon so we were really comfortable in hanging out up there. The pool was lovely and having the restaurant back onto it was really nice. Definitely would go back and my mother definitely preferred it to being in a riad in the medina as it was so much quieter and felt like you could just melt away in beautiful surroundings. I wish we saw the young man who checked us in on the way out to tip him because he was incredibly helpful and kind, I believe his name was Abdaul (please forgive me if I misheard and you're reading this!). All in all, it was lovely to spend a few days chilling by the pool, petting the lovely hotel kitten that would fall asleep on your lap, eating good food, and being away from the city (even if the city is still a relatively quiet one).

United KingdomWhilst the beds and bedding were very comfortable, the pillows were hard and lumpy. No hairdryers are provided in the rooms, so you’ll need to take your own. The loungers could do with new cushions.
For the price, this place is wonderful! The building is stylish, the decor simple and traditional, the staff were helpful and attentive, the pool is lovely, the meals are freshly prepared and reasonably priced, and the showers always had plenty of hot water. Essaouira is only a 10 minute taxi ride away, and costs €5. There is no air con, but the rooms are cool, due to the breeze (in May). The restaurant does not sell alcohol but you are permitted to buy your own and drink it on site.

United KingdomHot water in the bathroom was temperamental and unpredictable.
The hotel was in the style of a riad but not centrally located. However, a 10 minute, 50 dirham taxi ride got you into the heart of Essouaira. The breakfast was very good but there were no facilities close by to buy drinks or snacks for the evening. The staff were attentive and polite.

IrelandThe decor was a mix of true Moroccan art and random ikea-like pictures. The restaurant was overpriced. 9€for bolognese is a bit too much for what it is.

MoroccoThe rooms are not equipped with air conditioners and you cannot open the rooms because the windows do not have mosquito nets. We only had to open the window once and we struggled with mosquitoes. Shower items can also be upgraded.
The staff was very friendly and always smiling. The place is quiet and soothing.

PortugalPlease be aware that there is no airconditioning, for us it wasn't a huge issue since it wasn't very hot and the room has a high ceiling as well.
We were with a family including a baby and the personnel took very good care of us! They were super friendly and attentive and helped us with anything we needed. The room and Riad were very nice, clean and comfortable and spacious. Nice breakfast served every day and the swimming pool is great. Would definitely recommend this Riad especially for families.

LithuaniaBeds were too hard for us. Location is in a small village with nothing to do outside so you will need a car or taxi to get to Essaouira or anywhere else. Drive to Essaouira is about 15mins so not too expensive with taxi (we paid 100 dirham/10 euro one-way).
Small beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was ok but same every day. Restaurant had some good couscous and salads but pizza was not that good.

United KingdomWe were visiting in winter, which is by no means as cold as the UK, but felt a little chilly at times. Make sure you pack jumpers, or ask for another blanket.
The Riad is lovely, very peaceful and wonderful to escape. Being woken by wildlife, cockerels, donkeys in the morning is lovely. The staff are so hospitable and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Taxis were easily booked for us into the medina, which took approx 10-15mins.

Czech RepublicThere was a problem - not hot water in the apartment bathroom - we was there for 3 days and 2 of them really problem with hot water in bathroom. We recived (second day) the possibility to use another one in different building, yet still it was a problem for us.
What is really good? 1. Staff - it was always helpful and nice. 2. Breakfest - rich, tasty, you have a lot from to choose. 3. Building and surroundings - it is nice, with fireplace and really beautiful. 3. Pool.
