How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewProperty is hard to find as it is in the markets. Outside the property you would not notice it. It was nice inside and the pool was nice and discreet. The rooms were clean and cleaned every day
Didn’t like the staff. The manager is an older woman who is very fraudulent and took money off us as a deposit? We then argued with her and she charged us double for a taxi to the airport which later she did not pay resulting in us getting calls from the taxi saying we need to pay. Apart from the old women the staff are genuinely nice. I would i not give a deposit if i was to stay again and would take pictures and document everything as they can be very sneaky and try to Scam you
Hello - Yes, Ryads are always into the old Medina - pedestral zone. We are sorry for the convenient with the staff - we will check with that - Its the first time... Best regards

Verified reviewFantastic Riad with a nice little roof top pool right in the centre of Rabat Madina - we loved it & would highly recommend. Staff great, breakfast great.
Only one little thing - the directions normally take you a long way round the streets - however, this is more to do with Google Maps!
Many thanks - You're welcome - come back ...

Verified reviewBeautiful property. Had the most amazing decor that was very authentic. It was clean to an excellent standard. Our room was cleaned daily with clean fluffy towels and clean bedding. Beds were comfy and had lovely pillows. The Riad is in a great location right in the middle of the medina.
The only thing I would say is that the pool at the top of the Riad was not very clean. Water was quite murky. But that’s probably from the dust floating around the medina.
Many thanks for the nice vomment : The swimming pool has been cleaned - it is small and the problem is the attendance in summer...We hope to welcome you again. Best regards

Verified review- The staff is very kind! We were received with tea and cookies. - Breakfast is delicious. - The rooms and the hotel are exactly like the pictures. - Walking distance to many attractions. - It is very clean.
- It’s located in the center of the Medina, so this means all streets around are only pedestrian and it’s quite hard to find (the location on Google Maps is not accurate). Keep this in mind if coming by taxi. - Being in the Medina with mosques around, you will hear the prayer call very loudly (the first one being at 4:30 am in our case). - It’s not wheelchair / baby stroller accessible, plenty of stairs. - In our room, the shower had no curtain or any type of divider with the rest of the bathroom so everything gets wet. This was unpleasant. - Our room didn’t have air conditioned, but a couple of fans worked perfectly (we visited in May).
We thank you for choosing RIAD LOUANE - Your description is perfect - Guests should know that access to traditional riads is pedestrian . Warmly

Verified reviewThe customer service was exceptional. The staff were very kind and helpful. The roof top terrace was great to have, however the pool was small.
The location is not accessable by car and quite hard to find.
Thank you for choosing RIAD KALAA - Yes the swiming pool on the Roof is not OLYMPIC ans yes, you are right - All the Riads in Morocco are into the old town - and pedestral zone. Best regards

The rooms should have facilities for tea or coffee at least. The bathroom should have shower curtains 😅 .
Thank you very much for the good comment despite the shower. With best regards

Verified reviewVery lovely and cute riad in the centre of the Medina, a nice and relaxing place to stay despite being so near the main market. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom and walking distance to all sights in the centre of Rabat, very kind and welcoming staff.
Breakfast was very basic compared to other places I have stayed in Rabat and Casablanca. The house is located right beside a mosque and so prayers are announced a few times a day via very loud outdoor speaker, including before 7am each morning, so an early wake up is unavoidable!!
We thank you for choosing RIAD LOUANE - Exactly for the mosquee...In all the Medina of Morocco we have call to prayer 5 times a day. Best regards,

Verified reviewThe staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The bed was very comfy. We loved the roof terrace and the location of the Riad. The shower gels etc were of good quality. The breakfast was good and not overwhelmingly large. We loved the decor of the place and the attention to detail.
It was noisy in the morning from about 7am because you could hear all the other guests.
Many thanks for choosing RIAD LOUANE and the good comment - Warmly

Verified reviewStaying at this hotel was amazing once you found the place! The staff was very kind and attentive, and the room was lovely and clean. Ayub was extremely helpful and took care of our needs.
Finding the hotel was tricky! The taxi left us on the main road as cars can not drive through the old town. We had no Internet, so finding the hotel was a bit scary. We had to walk through many alleyways and even ask locals to help us find the place as there are no signs. We also had to pay the locals for helping us 😔. The hotel room smelt damp as there were no windows.
We thank you for the good comment and for choosing RIAD LOUANE. Our Riad Louane is on google map an there is a number call central on Booking to call the reception for another time we hope... Happy new year.
