The first room that we had was a lot smaller and darker than the photos suggested. But the staff was very kind and very helpful with changing the room so thanks again for doing that!

The room was very small and the bed was very hard but the staff put a blanket on top of the mattress to try and make it softer. The smell coming up out of the shower drain but there was a plug to cover it. It was pretty noisy most nights with noise coming up from the street. These things are not enough to deter me from staying again, but it’s good to be forwarned.

Great location in the Medina. The staff were excellent and made an effort to make my stay more comfortable. Nice linen. Nice breakfast. Nice roof terrace.

Beautiful riad in the middle of the medina. Rooms are small but comfortable. Its very well located to see the medina, go to the beach and harbour and close to parking lot. Breakfast is delicious and staff is amazing! The riad is really a place to relax and enjoy a good holiday vibe! Especially at the beautiful rooftop! Big thank you to Salah and other staff for making our stay great!

Great location bang in the middle of the Madina,super breakfast on the roof terrace. The bedroom was small but really comfortable as are all the riads we have stayed in along with very helpful and attentive staff.

A truly wonderful Moroccan experience. This Riad is in the Medina, so from when you leave the taxi and have your bags carried to the riad the journey continues. All the decor throughout the riad is so authentically Moroccan & I loved it! From the roof terrace you can see all of Essaouira’s medina to the waves breaking on the beach. A real highlight was having my breakfast on the rooftop terrace. The owners are terrific at communicating and gave me great instructions for my arrival & stay. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Perfect location in the heart of the medina. The directions we received to get there were superclear. Beautiful decor, even the map we were given smelled nice :-) Nice breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. A great ending to our Morocco trip and a place where we’d certainly go back to.

I cannot even say how much we loved staying here. The location couldn’t have been better and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. We wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was the best we had anywhere in Morocco as was the accommodation which was clean and comfortable. I cannot recommend Riad Lyon Mogador enough. It would be the only place we would stay returning to Essaouira. Thank you for making our stay special.

The hairdryer in my room could do with replacing; it worked but the attachment falls off. Only a very minor inconvenience. There wasn't really anything not to like.

I loved staying here, the property is beautiful and it smelt amazing too. I wish I had had time to stay another night; the roof terrace is lovely with comfy sofas and sunbeds to soak up the sunshine on. I loved that the water in my room was filtered and in a carafe, thus avoiding plastic. There needs to be more of this in Morocco. The omelettes at breakfast were divine. It was the best breakfast I had during my stay in Morocco. The location was great, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants, and to the ramparts. I did a cooking class while in Essaouira and brought back leftovers which I was able to put in the communal fridge and had for my picnic lunch the next day; great facility to have. Highly recommend and I would definitely return, if I'm lucky enough to.

It was so beautiful inside, very traditional, but pristine. Bed very comfortable, shower great with nice toiletries. Staff wonderful, very friendly helpful but not pushy at all. Breakfast on roof terrace a treat. Would choose this Riad next time for sure. Much better than the next ( more expensive and larger) be we stayed in be a se Lyon Mogadishu was full.
