How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe staff at Riad Magnoila were extremely helpful.and went out of their way to.make our stay so pleasant.Halim Yusuf and Marwan.. simply the best.. The Riad was well.locted and close to.the city centre. We found our way around.very easily although you do need Google.maps the first day as all lanes look similar and can easily get lost. The breakfast at the Riad was so good and different everyday. Halim even made surenwe had breakfast before the scheduled time.when we had to leave early for our day trip and departure flight back home. Would definitely recommend a stay here. We even ordered dinner at the Riad and it was all so well.presented and good food.

Verified reviewWe had a fantastic stay at Riad Magnolia, Hamza was so helpful and friendly and gave us lots of local tips and even guided us through a souk to the madrasa. We arrived in two different groups and the riad organised two separate airport pickups for us... eventhough the service is more expensive than a normal taxi we would recommend do it as it is not possible to reach the riad all the way by car and if you haven't visited Marrakech before then the medina is very confusing. Breakfast was incredible with a big spread of different things including local dishes. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was powerful with lots of hot water. One of our rooms had a problem with the light on the second night and the staff did all they could to fix it even when it was late at night. All the staff at the riad were happy and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Also go up to the rooftop to see a beautiful sunrise and sunset!

Verified reviewWe had a pleasant stay and enjoyed this beautiful riad. The bed was on the firmer side but still very comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday and left spotless. The breakfast was tasty - bread, an egg and a pancake, with fresh juice and tea/coffee. The staff were always kind. Overall we really enjoyed our stay
It’s worth noting that the city tax needs to be paid in cash. It would be better for the riad to include this in the price so guests can pay by card. There was also some poor communication around how extra services like massages could be paid - initially we were told by staff that we could pay by card but later we were told the owner wanted cash only. The main downside to this riad is the location. The main road outside is really hectic - it’s a busy market and there are people on bikes everywhere. Me and my partner were hit by bikes walking to the accommodation - luckily we were not badly injured.

As for the SPA, we authorize card payments, there is no doubt about that. As for your remark on the medina, you should know that the medina of Marrakech is authentic and true, where you will be closest to real Moroccan life, it is good to walk around and above all it is safe, unfortunately if that you didn't like, I highly recommend the winter quarters or gueliz. Verified reviewEverything. The Riad is beautiful and calm. So clean and very comfortable. I was kind of overwhelmed with the chaos of Marrakech and this place made me feel at peace and at home. Special thanks to Mustafa, who was the friendliest and most helpful host you could hope to meet. Thanks for the chat about Berber music and Morrocan culture. and the general good vibes! The other hosts and servers, who I unfortunately cannot remember their names, were also amazing and so friendly. Initially, I didn't realize that breakfast was included and I slept until nearly noon as I was so tired from traveling. Mustafa came to me and offered breakfast well past the normal cutoff time, which was unexpected and entirely unnecessary! I was so grateful for this and everything else during my stay! Shukran! Verified reviewThe accommodation was perfect. Very close to the busy streets but if you enter the Riad, you enter quietness. Very peaceful place with a nice roof terrace to take some rest after a busy day. The breakfast was typical, what we liked, but for us personally it was a bit too less.

Verified reviewBeautiful riad hidden away! Surprisingly so quiet and peaceful inside despite the busy streets near by! Excellent location in the medina close by to everything. Has a lovely roof terrace with sunbeds and chairs. The room was lovely, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast & dinner we ate there was also plentiful and delicious. We also had a hammam & massage in the riad which was lovely! Hamzas hospitality was excellent from start to finish. Very friendly & welcoming, will help you if you have any issues or concerns - he even walked us to a few places to ensure we found it okay! So glad we found this place to stay - highly recommend!
