Zedzed was a perfect host, he makes the best tea. We had the whole riad to ourselves, it was great to relax in cool jacuzzi and chill in the roof terrace.

Beautiful riad located in the heart of the medina and yet wonderfully quiet. Super comfortable and the decor is so unusual. The staff are really friendly and while they don't all speak English, this was never really a problem. The little rooftop terrace and plunge pool is very cute and lovely to relax after a day wandering the medina.

Beautiful Riad with a great location for staying in the Medina and visiting the city. All the staff were incredibly nice and helpful during the entire stay! We felt at home and had a fantastic stay in here, so we definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh :)

I can’t think of anything negative about this property. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to offer a bit more variety in the breakfast, as guests staying for several nights might appreciate a change from having the same food each day.

This was such a beautiful stay. The highlight of this stay were the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful especially Zeze who was very patient with my terrible French and couldn't have done more to help us. The room was beautiful and very cool in the heat. The atmosphere is so peaceful in the middle of an often chaotic central Marrakech. It was ideal having a little fridge in the room. The rooftop and the cold Jacuzzi were a lovely thing to have after a hot day in the city.

Great location, right in the heart of Medina. Staff was just amazing! Abdou, the Riad manager, was super helpful. Always available for anything that we would need and he gives you great tips upon your arrival. “Double” Zaid was just the perfect host! Really easy to talk and such a gentleman. Laila is an amazing chef. Really worth try this Riad and stay here while your in Marrakech.

Amazing, unmatched hospitality! The booking manager (unfortunately we forgot his name) was the most helpful and accommodating person we've ever met during our travels. Truly exceptional service — and we want to thank you sincerely through this message. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you have a home in Marrakech, not just a place to stay. Like a wonderful Arabian tale in the heart of the old town. The hosts were very hospitable and kind. The atmosphere was amazing, with the soothing sound of birdsong blended with gentle exotic melodies.

We loved ZedZed and Mouna's hospitality, kindness and delicious cuisine, and Abdou's attention and advice. We also enjoyed the decoration, comfort and location of the riad.

The ambiance is perfect, wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. Truly a respite from the noise and bustle of the Medina! You enter the Riad and it is an oasis of tranquility. Z-Z was a great host!

It's tricky to find, but if you arrange in advance, Z-Z will meet you in a convenient place.

Great stay at RIAD MAKENE MOUCHKILL. Beautiful traditional Moroccan decoration throughout the property. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent with tasty local dishes. Recommended.

Beautiful serene Riad, lovely quiet, dark room ensuring a good nights sleep. Breakfast always good. Really lovely people. Accept the offer of a private airport transfers especially if arriving at night. Also, accept the wonderful opportunity of dinner in, on the terrace, the food is wonderful, the setting quite special.

A minor thing as the staff very happily obliged, but would have liked a key to the front door, rather than having to ring the bell, other than that, everything was on point.

Everything was perfect! Typical marrocan breakfasts, very kind and helpful staff - Zedzed, thank you for your help and early breakfasts! 🙂 We could leave our luggage before check-in. Very clean apartment, wonderful terrace on the top of Riad and nice, singing birds next to our window. ♥️ If you are looking for clam and safe place in the heart of Medina this is the right Riad! Thank you!!!

Good location (if the intention is to stay in the old medina), very helpful staff. Solid breakfast.

The shower could have a bit more of water pressure.

The owner was very helpful, and sent someone to pick us up and drop us off at the taxi from and to the airport. He also gave us excellent information about where to go and the landmarks etc. The property is decorated very tastefully, and they also have a nice gazebo which could be used in warmer weather - though it was too cold for us to use. The breakfast was good Moroccan breakfast cooked fresh. The only problem was that no fruits were served in breakfast. The caretakers were very helpful and polite. The room and the Riyad are very tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Having electrical points by the bedside was helpful, and the AC worked well. There was a small issue with the head rest though. All in all it was an excellent stay and an excellent property.

The room was a bit on the smaller side. There was no place to keep the suitcases or to sit down, though there was a lot of common space which one could use. There was a little problem with the head end of the bed - the space for pillows was in a recessed place, enclosed by a wooden frame. everytime one tended to sleep or get up, there was a risk of banging the head against the wood (happened several time to us!!). Perhaps the owner can turn his attention to this problem?

Hospitality. Friendly, traditionally. I recomand to ask the host for prepare dinner.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everything was well-maintained and beautifully designed. The location of the hotel in very close to the market which makes it a nice experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional hospitality of the hotel’s carer. Despite the language barrier—I don’t speak French or Arabic—we still managed to communicate effortlessly. He was incredibly kind, polite, and always eager to help, making my stay even more enjoyable. One particular detail I appreciated was the evening we arrived he came to pick us up from where the taxi dropped us of because the car couldn't go any further, he brought an umbrella as it was slightly raining and he even warmed up our room in advance before we got to it so we find it nice and warm. His attentiveness and welcoming nature truly made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable experience in Marakech.

The location may seem complicated and easy to get lost but all you need is just a phone and you'll easily find your self back to the hotel.
