Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomNothing. Absolutely couldn't fault it.
What can I say. Me and my friend stayed for three nights and wanted for nothing. We were treated like family; nothing was too much trouble for Soufiane or Muhammad. We stayed in the roof terrace room, which was furnished beautifully and cleaned every day. Our breakfasts were superb and never the same. Riad Mehdia was perfectly situated, a short walk to the Market square and the Souks. If you've never experienced a Hammam, do book one. Relaxing, invigorating. It was a perfect way to end our trip. Thanks so much to team Mehdia. You made our stay in Marrakech beyond what we could have imagined. ❤️❤️❤️

United KingdomFrom the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Soufiane, Mohammed, and Hicham, whose kindness and hospitality instantly made us feel at home. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect, offering thoughtful recommendations and always greeting us with a smile. The Riad itself is a beautifully preserved and tastefully decorated traditional home, full of character and charm. Every detail—from the intricate tilework to the softly lit alcoves—reflects the spirit of Moroccan design. Our room was spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable, a peaceful retreat after our daily adventures. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served on the ground floor beneath the shade of banana trees. It was a tranquil setting, where time seemed to slow down as we sipped fresh juice and sampled homemade bread and pastries. After a rejuvenating Hamam and relaxing massage, I was served mint tea on the rooftop terrace—a thoughtful gesture I’ll never forget. The view from up there was breathtaking, with the Atlas Mountains stretching across the horizon, a moment of absolute serenity. The Riad is ideally located in the heart of the Medina—peacefully tucked away yet just a short walk from the vibrant souks, historic sites, and local eateries. We explored most of the area on foot, which made the experience even more immersive and special. Our stay was truly unforgettable, not only because of the beauty of the place but because of the warmth and care of Soufiane, Mohammed, and Hicham. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend this Riad to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing, and heartwarming experience in Marrakesh.

United KingdomI can’t think of anything that I didn’t like, even the breakfast was freshly cooked with a different selection each day.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Mohammed and Hisham went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with lots of colour and thought into the design. I shared a twin with a friend and there was plenty of space. The Hammam and massage was onsite was an added luxury.

ItalyApart from feeling a bit cold in the early morning (we visited in mid January), there is nothing we did not like
We were immediately made very welcome in this lovely authentic Riad with a beautiful internal courtyard, pool, roof garden and tradional hammam. The food they served us both for breakfast and supper was excellent. All the staff was very kind and flexible and attended to all our needs. We also enjoyed an authentic hammam as a couple with a relaxing massage afterwards by a very competent lady. The location is very convenient being adjacent the central square and close to most of the interesting sites in the city. I recommend it for a superb stay in this dynamic city

United KingdomThe fact we had to leave to come home. If we visit Marrakech again, we will definitely stay at Riad Mehdia!
There is a lot of choice of Riads and it can be difficult to decide. I'll make it easy for you - choose Riad Mehdia. A fantastic location in the In the heart of the Medina but yet still tranquil. Traditionally Moroccan with such a warm welcome. Soufiane, Mohammed and the other staff looked after us as if we were long lost friends. We loved our traditional room. And we loved the breakfast. I'm gluten free and they catered for me so well. Gluten free bread, crepes and omelette, and the nicest fresh juice in Marrakech. We also liked Mohammed's warm welcome as we returned back in the evening after dinner. The Hamman and massage were a particularly lovely experience for me. It was a beautiful, memorable stay. If you're looking for an authentic real experience of the best of Marrakesh where you're looked after.door-to-door, look no further. If I could give it a score of 12 out of 10, I would.

FranceWe came in a cold time and the rooms were too cold for our liking. We tried to turn the AC to the max temperature to see if it would heat up but it wasn’t warm. We used the second cover but we were still a bit cold. A bit dark, maybe put stronger lights?

United KingdomI really loved everything for the most part. If we were being picky, the ensuite bathroom was only separated by a curtain as opposed to a door, so it wasn't the most private. We also had to ring the doorbell each time we wanted to enter the riad and were scolded for using the knocker instead when we'd waited a while. Would advise getting rid of the knocker altogether if you don't want it to be used!
Soufiane was the perfect host and really made sure we felt at home. From booking day trips, sorting out taxis, arranging earlier breakfasts when necessary, and organising a lovely spa day, we couldn't have asked for better hospitality. The riad itself is as beautiful as the pictures describe and is full of charm! I especially loved the terrace for reading after the business in the Medina, and the plant-filled courtyard where we had breakfast every morning. The location was perfectly set in the middle of the Medina, right by the Bahia Palace, but as soon as you shut the door, you entered a lovely calm atmosphere.

United KingdomNot so much didn't like, but was a bit taken aback that the initial room we got had the bathroom with the bedroom in an 'open plan' which wasn't obvious on the booking page. However, soufiyan the manager arranged another room which was much better the next day so I csnt say I can complain!
The hosts were fantastic and the service was very prompt. Youssef is a gem and he was very helpful in giving us tips on things to do and troubleshooting locally.

ItalyJust one suggestion: our room was pretty dark, one light more would be useful:)
Nice and cosy riad in the Medina, 5 minutes by walking from the main square. The strenghts of Mhedia Riad are the kindness and the customer attention of it’s personell. In particular, mr. Youssef, a very kind man, always available to help. The Place is clean, with traditional rooms, good breakfast with home made local food. We tried the massage service and it was good too.
