How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery nice but somewhat lost and dirty streets to arrive, even can be fun to see real life and daily activities as close by market.
No swimming pool if it’s too hot. No much intimacy as the rooms are open directly to the court but it’s also part of the charm.
We're so glad you enjoyed the riad’s charm. As for the surrounding streets, they offered you a glimpse into the vibrant, everyday life of the local neighborhood , something many guests find adds to the authenticity of their stay , and gave you a sneak peek into actual life in Morocco. Could be chocking if you come from Sweden we know , but we’ll try o alert the city that the streets weren’t up to resort brochure standards.😅 As for the lack of privacy….riads are built around open courtyards — it’s almost like that’s how they’ve worked for centuries, in order to keep cool during the very hot months, witch is part of their character, and their charm.

The room was a bit small, but after we replaced the furniture we could walk in the room and it was just fine :)
We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the friendliness of our staff, our convenient location, and the breakfast. We appreciate your comment about the furniture , but we contacted you before arrival as we always do if you would like a big bed ot two single beds in your room but you never answered ! ! for a couple this is more convenient to put the beds together.

Verified reviewStaying at Riad Nirvana was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s beautiful, thoughtfully kept home. 😊 The breakfasts were a daily delight – freshly cut fruits, eggs made to order, and a flexibility in timing that’s rare to find. No rush, no pressure – just a peaceful start to the day, often accompanied by a warm chat with the friendly owners who genuinely enjoy connecting with their guests. The hospitality here is next-level. Room service was quietly exceptional: clothes were neatly folded, wet laundry dried without asking, and fresh flowers added a sweet personal touch to the room. Complimentary bottled water was always available, and the team went out of their way to make us feel cared for. When we lost our luggage from our connection flight, the owners not only offered support but actually helped track it down – a kindness I won’t forget. The location is ideal – central but peaceful, with a beautiful rooftop terrace that offers a quiet escape from the buzz of the souks. The overall environment is serene and elegant, with a lovely courtyard fountain and impeccable cleanliness throughout. In every way, Riad Nirvana feels like a home away from home – warm, welcoming, and truly unforgettable. we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. Thank you, Riad Nirvana!

Verified reviewVery kind and helpful staff, nice place with good vibes with the song of canaries, delicious breakfast and perfect location. comfortable beds and pillows......
Unfortunately there were big problems with sewage system, a terrible smell in the bathroom that kept us awake at night. The owners did their best to fix the problem, but nothing changed.......
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the warm welcome from our staff, the breakfast, the relaxing atmosphere with the canaries, and our convenient location. We're truly sorry about the unpleasant smell in the bathroom during your very short stay of two nights. Although we did our best to resolve the issue immediately, we understand it remained a disturbance. All that because of disrespectful customers who have blocked everything with diapers in the toilet, which blocked the pipes that we had to break, it doesn't end in 1 day unfortunately. Please rest assured that more thorough repairs have since been carried out to permanently fix the problem. With our kindest regards.

Verified reviewExcellent location in quiet part of Medina. Lovely small Riad with beautiful courtyard area for breakfast & nice rooftop space for sunbathing or sheltering under the pretty awnings. Aziz was very kind & met me where the taxi driver could drop me off, & then went through lots of helpful walking plans for the city. He was always available to answer any questions. My room was gorgeous although there isn't much sound insulation from the courtyard.
I would have liked more fresh fruit for breakfast.
Aziz will be so happy to hear your appreciation. Yes, we're very well located, in a very quiet area that's well lit at night, close to all the tourist attractions. As for fruit, there isn't much choice at this time of year, but we'll do our best.

Verified reviewGood communication prior to our visit, and taxi booked by Aziz from the coach station, and to the airport. He spoke excellent English. Good location, and great to come back to the peace and calm of the riad after a hectic day in Marrakesh. Breakfasts were wonderful and set us up for the day. Aziz was very kind in getting me gluten free bread and rice cakes, in addition to amazing home made jams and houmous. The upstairs terrace was a nice place to relax. Would highly recommend.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with future customers. Verified reviewWe had a great stay at Riad Nirvana. Our room was on 1st floor and it was spacious and comfortable. Riad is conveniently located in a quiet area, close to some of the main places to visit in Marrakech. We were welcomed by Aziz who is a great host. He provided us with all the info we needed to go around and, on the last day, he prepared the breakfast for us 1hour earlier as we had to leave. At times, there was a weird smell in the room perhaps due to riad buildings not having windows. Riad is not super easy to find.
A Riad is a traditional Marocain house build around a patio, every window open inside. As for the location, while the riad is tucked away for a peaceful stay, we propose a pick up from aéroport, train or bus station to assist with transfers to make arrival easier. It's wonderful to know that Aziz made your experience even better with his warm hospitality and helpfulness.
