Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenPool: The roof terrace was super, but we could NOT use the mini pool. That was a disappointment to some of us. It was cold, dirty and actually had worms in it (!). We did actually ask before we booked, so that we would be sure that we could use it, and we were told that it could even be heated if we wanted that. But again, we assume that it was the old owners responding to us at the time. Now it was impossible to use, and we did not get any explanation why that was. Excursions - do NOT buy excursions through the Riad. Some of us went on a trip to the desert and it was very overpriced. All the other persons in the same bus (people who had booked through other agencies/by themself) had paid much less for the exact same excursion... This is not a very smart thing to do for a hotel, and very short sighted. Because every hotel guest that get scammed like we were, will be disappointed and hopefully write about it in their reviews...
From the time we made our reservation at Riad of the storks until we actually arrived (mars 2025) the Riad was sold. So all the things we read in the earlier reviews here at Booking, for example about this Omar and the other staff (and other things), do not apply anymore. When a place is sold and changes its regime, they also inherit all the super good reviews from before 😊 The new owners don't have the same staff and both the rooms & the breakfast are now more expensive. However, we got the old price for the room, but not for the breakfast. All of this should be taken into account when choosing to stay at Riad of the storks. Our review: We were 9 friend & it was perfect to have the whole Riad to ourself. The roof top terrace was the best part, sunny & absolutely wonderful. The Staff - Mohammed and rest of the staff were all very polite, nice and helpful. Location – Super great! Located in a nice area inside the medina, but still not in "the middle of the souk" with all the people & noise. Only a 10-15 minutes nice walk to the square Jemaa el-Fnaa. Rooms - They are all different & quite charming. However: no cleaning, no new toilet paper etc during the stay (4 days). It is a bit boring when you have to ask for these things (like toilet paper...) however it is of course NOT a big problem... Breakfast - like i said the price was higher than we had been promised. Many people have written in the reviews that it was a fantastic breakfast, but we would rather call it "nice"... (one of the days they even run out of coffee (!) - NOT good for coffee drinking Swedes). We suspect that the "fantastic breakfast" was also were made by Omar & the old staff. Now it was an ok/good breakfast and we do recommend it since it’s not too expensive AND you can eat it on the terrace! Saying all this, we really think the Storks was a great place to stay at for a big group like ours & we do recommend it!

NetherlandsEverything was perfect!
Everything! We were a group of 5 and had the Riad for private use. Excellent location, we walked to all main attractions. Karim and the staff really made a difference with their fantastic service. We asked to organise a dinner and breakfast and both were excellent for a very reasonable price. Everything we asked was well organised, from airport taxis to booking a hamman and massage. I will stay here again when I come back to Marrakech and can strongly recommend this place, specially if you are coming with a group.

SpainWe could have used a couple more bath towels, but that was a very minimal issue!
The staff were extremely flexible and helpful. We felt very supported, comfortable, and taken care of! We rebooked the same Riad for a second time during our stay when we returned to Marrakech from our tour of the Sahara, and we would absolutely come back again!

PolandFrom the very beginning until the last moments of our trip the hospitality was 5-star. Omar organized an amazing experience for all of us. He prepared a traditional Moroccan dinner and breakfast. The host paid attention to every little detail and took care of us every step of our trip. It was an amazing experience and we recommend it to everyone who wants to feel the Moroccan spirit. شكراً جزيلاً

United KingdomWe loved everything about the property!!!
Beautiful Riad in a great location, close to lovely restaurants and landmarks. Riad of the Storks was truly a home away from home. Omar, our host treated us as more than paying guests. He treated us as members of his extended family. His service was second to none and he always went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. No request was too big and he was always on hand to help, be it restaurant recommendations, endless cups of tea and glasses of orange juice, arranging taxis and even sourcing a printer so we could print our passes! Superb, unbeatable service. We can’t wait to come back one day! Thank you Omar, from the bottom of our hearts!

Dominican RepublicThe riad is excellent, the breakfast is fantastic, typical Moroccan. Omar is an excellent host, who will welcome you with great tea and will be able to help you with any problems or requests you may have. We opted for a dinner prepared by Omar, an experience that catapults you right into Moroccan culture. The riad is clean, and cozy. It is hard to find better

Ivory CoastIf you're tired of impersonal hotel rooms and would like to experience a bit of Moroccan hospitality, this is the place. Omar was a fantastic host. He met us where the taxi dropped us off to ensure we would find the house, cooked us dinner and breakfast, and gave recommendations on things to do in the area. We even texted him a question about where to buy something, and he came out to show us his favorite souk. The house was a quiet oasis in the bustling of Marrakesh, with spacious and comfortable rooms, while being easy to walk to the main square and palace. After a week's worth of hotels, staying with Omar and enjoying dinner on the rooftop patio without noise and other tourists (especially after walking thru the main square 😂) was the perfect way to end our trip.

NorwayThis is the 4th time we have stayed at Riad of the Storks, and this time with the whole family + two friends. The riad works perfectly for several families or friends to travel together and stay together in a central location in the Medina. You get both privacy and being together, good breakfast and a wonderful roof terrace with lounge, small pool, sun and shade. The location is both safe and close to sights such as Jamaa el Fna Square, Bahia Palace and Badi Palace. Highly recommended!

ItalyPictures are dated: 10 years seems to be passed from when the riad was on that condition. The place needs renovation and deep cleaning. As other reviews mentioned, there are people loving in the riad lobbie, which means you won't have much peace or privacy.
The location is perfect, you can easily walk everywhere in the medina, it's a few minutes from the main square. Staff was helpful and communication was easy.
