How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe best part of staying at Riad Oyoune is the wonderful staff. Muhammed, Youssef, and Tereza, are absolutely lovely, helpful, and thoughtful. It is painted beautifully as you can see from the photos. I had some trouble finding it, so arranging a taxi through the riad with someone who will bring you all the way there would be a great idea. There are three rooms and I was in the double room, right next to the tiny reception area. The window opens right into the reception area so definitely lacking in privacy if you want it open. The shower worked well. There was a curtain, a rubber mat to help with slippage, plenty of hot water for a short shower, and a floor towel upon request. I used the fan as I prefer it over AC and that was perfect for blocking noise as well. Thank you Tereza, Youssef, Muhammed!
The rooftop could use some beautification.

Verified reviewWe loved it's centrality and quietness. Mohammed who was in charge was absolutely charming and we were blessed to have such a willing and helpful person around. The place was clean and the breakfast was good, especially the coffee. We were given clean towels every day and Mohammed, Chede and Teresa were attentive at all times and friendly. There were drawbacks to the accomodation however the staff were the big plus to our stay
The room felt rather crabby, cramped and small and there was nowhere to hang clothes. We had to have the light on the whole time as not enough came in from outside without opening the windows or the door. The bathroom lock was an improvised bolt and it didn't shut very easily. We had to be very careful to avoid getting a small injury from trying to open or close it. If the bolt wasn't in place, the door would swing wide open which was inconvenient for anyone using the bathroom or toilet. Half the sockets in the wall didn't work so charging various devices was a little problematic.

Verified reviewGreat location within the medina. Lovely breakfast and the mint tea on arrival was a nice touch.
It was quite noisy but that may have been a one off with another particular group on that night (we only stayed 1 night)

Verified reviewThe location was good and the lady working at the hotel.
The room smelled humid, the aircon did not cool even though it was at its max. The room and bathroom could be much more clean. Pictures can be deceiving.

Verified reviewThe staff were truly exceptional – kind, helpful, and always ready to assist. One staff member even ran to another Riad to bring us a hairdryer and gave us extra towels. The location is great, the price is fair, and the beds were okay. The Riad was reasonably clean, and although breakfast wasn’t included on Booking, it was generously offered for free.
The Riad is very basic, and not ideal for families. The bathroom has no curtain or separation, so after showering the whole room gets wet and unusable. No floor towel provided. Water temperature fluctuated between burning hot and freezing. There was no hairdryer or small towels in the room (we got them only after asking). The sound and light insulation is poor: thin glass doors, open air gaps, and curtains that don’t fully block light. We found ants in the room, the bedsheets felt synthetic, and strong kitchen smells came in through a bathroom window. One night, an older staff member arrived shouting loudly, disturbing guests who were already sleeping. Overall, with a few basic upgrades, the place could improve a lot.

Verified reviewThe staff, in particular the manager, were very helpful and thoughtful. Good breakfast. The double bed in my room was hard, but fortunately the single beds were more comfortable and I had three beds to choose from.
Sound insulation from the kitchen and from the next guest room was poor. The shower drain could do with draining more quickly as the water leaked onto the bedroom floor after 3 or 4 minutes of use.

Verified reviewWe had a truly wonderful stay in this colorful and homely place. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was a real treat – generous, homemade, and absolutely delicious. What made our stay extra special was the way our 2-year-old son was welcomed. The hosts were incredibly kind and caring towards him, and he felt at ease right away. He even quickly picked up the habit of drinking tea – something we’ll always associate with this lovely stay! A place full of charm, warmth, and heart – highly recommended.
There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like – everything was perfectly taken care of and exceeded our expectations.

Verified reviewThe riad is located in the heart of the medina of Rabat. The rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is generous and of good quality. Every single member of the staff is exceptionally polite, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall, it is great value for money.
The windows of the rooms face an interior hallway used by other guests and are located near the kitchen, which can make the space a bit noisy at times. The bathroom lacks a shower curtain, so water tends to splash everywhere when showering. The overall atmosphere inside the rooms is humid.
