Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing we could not find anything we didn’t like
We absolutely loved Riad Pachavana the moment we arrived we were met at the Taxi by Ahmed who took our suitcases whilst we walked to the Riad . Once inside experienced an oasis of calm we were welcomed with mint tea the manager Khamissa checked us in and gave us maps and great advice on where to go and what to see . Our room was lovely and we had the best sleep in the most comfortable beds with crisp white bed linen . Our meal was lovely on our first evening. Throughout our stay we could not fault this hidden gem a big thank you to Khassima Ashraf Ahmed Abdul Joudia & Fatima they could not do enough for us . Breakfast was plentiful fresh and varied served on the roof terrace each morning . We would definitely return to Riad Pachavana and would like to thank all the staff who made our stay memorable!

PortugalHonestly nothing comes to mind. It would have been nice to be informed of the tourist taxes that we have to pay as we didn't expect it to be so high but other than that nothing to report.
The staff was lovely. They helped us with activities we wanted to do in the city. They also helped with providing drivers of their trust to take us to different places. The breakfast was really good, freshly made and no processed foods involved. The room was also nice and cleaned and the location itself is as good as it gets.

PolandIf there’s one thing to note, it is that at times the atmosphere was less tranquil due to noisy families with young children. We were lucky as we only had to put up with it on the last day of our stay. While understandable, it did take away slightly from the otherwise serene and romantic ambiance. I believe this Riad would be even more perfect as an adults-only retreat, ideal for couples and solo travelers seeking peace and quiet.
Staying at this Riad was an absolute dream. Tucked away within the bustling Medina, it felt like stepping into a peaceful sanctuary the moment we walked through the doors. The contrast between the lively streets outside and the serene, beautifully decorated courtyard inside was nothing short of magical. The staff were incredibly welcoming and warm—genuinely attentive without being intrusive. Every interaction felt personal and sincere, which made us feel right at home. Our room was tastefully decorated in traditional Moroccan style with vibrant tiles, soft lighting, and comfortable bedding. The attention to detail was evident everywhere—from incense sticks on the table to fragrant toiletries. Breakfasts on the rooftop terrace were a highlight: fresh fruit, warm bread, jams, and the most delicious mint tea... We also appreciated how the Riad balanced authenticity with modern comforts like air conditioning, and hot showers—all while maintaining a very local, artisanal feel. We would return in a heartbeat and recommend this Riad to anyone seeking a true Moroccan experience with warmth, charm, and tranquility. An unforgettable stay that made our visit to Marrakech truly special!

Breakfast was good excellent. The Riad offered a comfortable stay with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, nothing was too much. Breakfast was excellent and they fully accommodated our needs. The Tagine we had for our evening meal was the best we had whilst in Marrakech. The cool dipping pool was clean and perfect after a hot day. Altogether, a fantastic experience

PortugalThe beds are not very comfortable and the staff, although very friendly, might not be the most efficient. My breakfast box that I asked for so many times as I was going to leave early… never happened and no one knew nothing…
The place is absolutely beautiful and it is very well located. Great breakfast served. If you need a breakfast box… might not happen.

It is a lovely building, well maintained and very comfortable. The pictures on the advert are very accurate. Tranquility away from manic streets and just a 20 minute walk to the main attractions in the centre of the madina eg Jamaa el Fna and Koutoubia Mosque. All the staff were wonderfully kind and helpful….constantly tending to the rooms and public areas of the Riad.

United KingdomNo facilities in your room to make a hot drink when you awaken. No fridge in the room to store cold water. I guess this might be one of the things that makes staying in a Riad different to staying in a hotel room.
You approach the Riad through narrow streets and enter through a huge wooden door into a amazing space which contains a small spa pool and lush green plants. Its really welcoming after the drive from the airport. The room we stayed in was Beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style, huge walk in shower, private enclosed outdoor space. Breakfast was served between 8-10am on the rooftop with a choice of seating areas both covered and open space. We had a slightly different breakfast each morning the selection was brilliant and plentiful. Staff where really accommodating, couldn't do enough to ensure you were happy.

The Riad was in the centre, close to everything. It was clean. The rooms were also clean daily. Breakfast was lovely with freshly pressed orange juice. The staff were exceptional, going over and beyond to make you happy and comfortable.

United KingdomIt’s a shame that the Riad didn’t serve alcohol but I think that is the case with most of Marrakesh. There are a few restaurants around that do. Although the hotel does serve alcohol free wine.
What a wonderful calm tranquil Riad in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. It was everything we wanted and more! Beautiful breakfasts, lovely rooms, such a gorgeous setting with little areas to sit and chill. A lovely roof terrace for a bit of sun or you could sit in the cool areas around the pool. Wonderful location as we could walk to the souks, YSL museum & gardens etc. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, thank you for a wonderful stay! ❤️
