Ali and Youssef are such amazing hosts! The customer services is just outstanding, small Riad so they know your name also. Such a warm welcome, what a breakfast mama Mia! The table is full of all kinds of food.

    Nothing, it was perfect

    Close to Medina and centre

Communication about meeting to bring us to the hotel was very much incorrect and confusing so that we did not know what was happening .

    Property response:

Thank you for your feedback. We always recommend booking the airport transfer directly with us to ensure a smooth arrival, as outside taxis often drop guests far from the hotel due to the medina's layout. In your case, you chose to come on your own, which we respect but please understand this may lead to confusion and walking. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable.

Yusef was fantastic and accommodated our every need, including an early morning airport transfer. He even went the extra mile and prepared an early breakfast for us separate to the other guests. Thanks again Yusef!

The property is absolutely beautiful & peaceful!! When you walk through the front door, it’s as if you walked into another world.

There really isn’t anything that I disliked. But, maybe there could be some improvements with making the rooms soundproof as to not disturb the other guests.

Very well located, amazing breakfast, well maintained, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for your money.

The beds were a bit hard to our liking and the rooms are quite small.

This is a fantastic place to stay in a prime location in the Medina. It's a cool and quiet place to relax just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the souks. Yousif and Ali were amazing hosts and sorted everything out for us including airport taxi transfers. Yousif met us from the taxi drop off and accompanied us to the hotel. They prepared delicious breakfasts every day and mint tea when we arrived back from days out. The rooms were so authentic and meticulously cleaned each day. The roof terrace is an extra bonus and is wonderful to enjoy a mint tea, watch the sunset over the Koutoubia mosque and listen to the call to prayer. I would highly recommend staying here for an authentic Moroccan experience.

    Nothing. It was all super.

I had a really nice stay at riad. The place is stylish and comfortable, with a lovely mix of Moroccan charm and modern touches. It’s easy to find, which is a big plus when you’re exploring the Medina. Inside, it’s calm and quiet, making it a great place to relax. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, a perfect way to start the day. I definitely recommend it.

The managers are super nice and helpful. The Riad is very lovely and well maintained. It is within the Medina, super close to the souks, but but at the end of a small street, so it’s not noisy from the outside. The breakfast was lovely arranged. Thanks a lot to our hosts for a nice stay!

The thing with Riads is (and I assume that’s the case for most of them), that the rooms are quite small and noise is traveling easily, so if you need some privacy I would stay in a „normal“ hotel instead. In general, Marrakech was quite pricy in relation to what you receive, which is for sure not the fault of our hosts.

Breakfast was a mixture of sweet and savoury treats that set us up for the day. The staff was on hand and ready to help set up tours or providing relaxing mint tea after long day out. The right blend of support when required.

The authenticity! It was like travelling back in time to fairy tales. Excellent location! Located within the Medina and just a few steps away from all the colorful souks. Extremely comfortable bed! Most polite, helpful and quiet staff!

No privacy! When staying at this riad, you should be aware that there is absolutely no sound isolation whatsoever - you can literally hear every sound your neighbors are making, either whispering loudly, talking, laughing, arguing or lovemaking :) Tiny space! The room was as big as the bed, so if you are a bit claustrophobic, maybe not the best choice for you.

    Property response:

Thank you for your detailed review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the authenticity of our riad, its excellent location in the heart of the Medina, and the comfort of our beds. Our team truly appreciates your kind words about their service. Regarding privacy and space, traditional riads are designed with an open structure that enhances their charm but may offer less sound isolation. We understand that this may not suit everyone and appreciate your feedback. As for the room size, we do offer different room categories, and we’d be happy to help find a more spacious option should you visit us again. We appreciate your honest insights and hope to welcome you back for another magical experience!

Beautifully tucked Riad yet a stone throw away from the main attractions Marrakech has to offer. Quiet and peaceful Riad. Ali and Yousuf were wonderful hosts, the breakfast is more than what you can ask for. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Riad Papillon. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great. The room was cleaned to a very good standard every day. It is also in a great location for a first visit to Marrakech.

Weak water pressure in the shower. Other than that everything was great.

It is situated very close in the old Medina, and walking distance from general attractions. It is tucked away and is very quiet peaceful within a busy part of the city.

It can be a bit tricky at first to find as it is deep in the alley.
