How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewSalma and Hafida was great and I felt very comfortable while staying. The girls are really rock. They always ready to help you and very friendly. Location is also great.
Breakfast was a bit poor but I learnt that all riads in Marakesh serve the similar stuff at breakfast. I wish I could pay via booking but you have to pay cash but they made a good option to me and I paid by credit card. Thanks for that.

Verified reviewVery friendly staff, Selma was very welcoming and available for all requests. Generous traditional breakfast on the terrasse. Quite room, and nice to be awaken by the sound of birds in the patio.
A few mosquitos in the bedroom, but hey it's Morocco! :)

Verified reviewBeautiful traditional Riad in a perfect location.
We booked two rooms for 17 days. We were disappointed that our rooms were cleaned for the first time after one week. And we needed to empty the bins ourselves. Breakfasts were disappointing after the first five days. Honey or jam wasn't served every day, bread rolls and buns were cat in half instead of having a whole one as it was at the beginning of our stay. And after five days it was usually stale. One day we had only an omelette as our host said that she forgot to go to the bakery. We hoped to get something else later during the day as apologies but we didn't. We tried to be nice and didn't want to complain hoping that things might improve. Sadly, nothing changed. At the end of our second week we mentioned that we are fed up with breakfast. We heard lots of excuses and that we should say that we didn't enjoy breakfast. We are not the type of people that like complaining. We always hoped that things might change especially knowing that the beginning of our stay was lovely. We were trying to be good to our host for the whole time and cope with her loud conversations and giggles late at night that were keeping us awake. Our usual host didn't even say goodbye to us on the last day after she served us breakfast. That was really sad. Hence, this is not very enthusiastic review.

Verified reviewSelma, Fatima and the other girl who's name I unfortunately don't remember (sorry!!!) are really great! I loved to stay at a Riad run only by girls :))). They are so nice and they helped me when I needed something important. And it is a very nice Riad as well. I wish I had more time to talk to the girls because they were so friendly and I barely talked to women in Marocco!!!

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful experience with the very welcoming and attentive hostess and staff. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely tea ceremony. The Riyad is ideally located in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to access all the main attractions. The space itself is charmingly authentic, featuring beautiful ancient wall paintings and traditional furnishings
The Wi-Fi was relatively slow.

Verified reviewThe staff was great - very nice ladies! The room was pretty and quiet. We could eat breakfast each morning whenever it suited us and we got delicious tea if we requested it. There are great views from the terrace. The location is very close to Madrasa Ben Youssef (it's very simple to get to once you get a hang of the little alleys in the medina and it takes like 5min)
It's quite tricky to find since it's hidden away (but one of the ladies kindly picked us up from a location and led us there on our first day) Unfortunately we had the scare of our lives on our second day when we found a live cockroach clinging onto the shower curtain and then two other ones appeared near the sink on our last night : (

Verified reviewRiad was not easy to find, but with a help of Google maps and a lovely gentleman at a right place and time we were at a place. Greeted by two lovely girls with tea and a snack. Room was sorted in a matter of minutes. At a arrival our room had a weird smell which disappeared in a day so not an issue. Mattress could have been little softer but that's just to my liking(my husband didn't notice anything wrong). As we were staying in March, nights were still cold, but there were warm blankets in the room for cozy and warm sleep. Location is really good. The best of all were hosts. I cannot praise the girls looking after riad enough. They were simply amazing! Always there ready for anything, always smiling. Our tap was leaking but that was sorted straight away. Again the girls were the best. We spent last night with them having tea, henna tattoos and chatting. They were like family to us -so very friendly. Little things mentioned were forgotten straight away. Thank you so so much to Hafida and her friend (sorry can't remember her name) for everything and I wish all the best to you both and your families.

Verified reviewThe check-in process was unusual but a good one where we were presented with tea and biscuits on arrival and made to feel welcome and relaxed before being taken to our room. Any time we returned to the Riad, after being out, we were always offered tea, the staff were very attentive. The breakfast was more than sufficient.
Nothing wrong with the accommodation itself but finding the place was a bit tricky so some better directions or instructions would have been good.

Verified reviewRIAD Redous has a very beautiful interior and flowering orange trees. The service staff is very kind and friendly. The accommodation is right in the center, within walking distance of almost all the main tourist attractions.
Overall, we really liked everything. We recommend other travelers to take into account that the accommodation is difficult to find at first and it is located next to a lively shopping area. If you like that (and we did), then everything is great.

Verified reviewGreat for solo traveling or for couples, the girls were so helpful, friendly and welcoming even though they were fasting and the days must feel really long during ramadan, I couldn’t have been more grateful for everything and I will 100% sure come back here. The Riad is easy to find with the pictures someone posted here because there is no big signs guiding you!

Verified reviewThe location is great, it's in the medina area so the souks are a few minutes walk and the major sights i wanted to see were minutes away. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The ladies walked me from my taxi to the riad as the driver wouldn't be able to drive all the way in (narrow lanes). They were very attentive and kind, and the breakfast was delicious! They also helped me to secure a taxi to the airport at the end of my trip.
Some gates at the souks are closed after dark so you will need to keep that in mind.
