We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was smaller than expected. The bed cover was visibility dirty, with 2 stains and dirty maks along the edges. We removed it straight away. The sheets were clean. There was not really enough space for a 1 week stay for 2 people. Just a coat stand to hang clothes, wet and dry! I would only stay there 3 nights maximum in that size room 2 people, more suitable for a single traveller longer stay. Our room was by the pool, so it was noisy in the afternoons if you were in your room. We were woken up twice by guests next to us coming in late and partying! The manager dealt with this well on both occasions. The area the Riad is in is safe, but there are building works going on every day around it, causing dust and rubble, which we needed to navigate to get back to the Riad in the evenings.
We liked the host who came out to meet us from the taxi on arrival. We liked the decor and the plunge pool in the centre of the Riad. We had wifi, so we could use plan our trips for sightseeing and booking restaurants for evening meals. Breakfast was simple but fresh with friendly service and attention. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made our stay pleasant. I would recommend a short stay here to friends as I believe it is great value for money and a pleasant place to stay.

United StatesI had a terrific stay at this riad. I stayed a total of 4 nights. An exceptional quality is the responsiveness of the staff, particularly Bader over WhatsApp. When I needed to change my reservation, I was able to do so quickly, which was greatly appreciated. The location is a bit difficult to find at first, but easy to get used to. Only a 15 minute walk away from Jamaa el-Fnaa, so it's close to everything. Also, this riad is very quiet. It is ideal for solo travelers and couples. I will stay here again when I return to Marrakech.

United KingdomI would have liked more toilet rolls and bin bags to avoid asking for the room to be cleaned. But you can ask - I just don't like to keep pestering them.
Very pretty little Riad. Comfy and clean. Staff were very helpful and went beyond what was expected! Good location close to the Medina but not too close. We were a group of 3 females and felt safe. If I was going back to Marrakech I would stay there again.

PortugalThe bathroom didn't have a door to separate it from the bedroom (it was not very clear from the photos). The location in general is pretty good, as it's close to the airport (less than 15min by taxi) and close enough from Jemaa el-Fna (10-15min on foot) and other relevant monuments to visit, and there's a small supermarket BIM nearby. However the Riad it is located in a dead-end street at the end of several turns in slightly sketchy-looking alleyways - tho after we got used to it, we didn't felt unsafe.
The ambiance was lovely. The inner courtyard with the pool is great to stay in the hot afternoon. The rooftop is simple but nice in the nights to see the lights of the city (if u are tall, since there is a wall). The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed - gave us some restaurant suggestions, helped printing our boarding passes and let us keep our luggage there after checkout, as our flight was later in the day and we still wanted to walk around the city. Breakfast is pretty good with beghrir and msemen, bread, jams, butter and honey, milk, coffee, tea and orange juice.

FranceThe only downfall was that our heater wasn't working during our stay, but we were given an extra blanket for the night when it can get a bit chilly. Our bathroom window was also very tricky to open, however I'm sure if we had asked, someone would have shown us the trick to open it.
Badr and Khadija were amazing, extremely welcoming, and reactive! Both were there to answer any of our questions and went above and beyond to meet our requests (e.g. our last minute request to print our tickets). The breakfast was a delight to have every morning and the riad overall is a great place to stay. The location is also good in terms of security. I would definitely recommend this place!

United KingdomAll good impressions were spoiled though when my son has discovered that some money have been stolen from his room. Hotel has denied that anyone has been to our rooms while we were discovering the city but window in my room on a top floor was open few times on my return while i clearly remembered closing everything before i left. Also we were staying there for a week and to have at least some variation in breakfast menu would be nice.
The location of Riad Salima is good, walking distance to the main square and all attractions but far enough from immediate noise of Medina. It is traditionally designed and has lots of beautiful features. Roof top is a lovely place where you can chill on sun beds away from the hustle of the city. Bader was helpful with suggestions for restaurants and tours available in Marrakesh.

GermanyTraveling with family/small children, we booked a suite (that is the room‘s description), supposedly with 2 rooms and 2 double beds. This phoney suite cost 33,00€ more than the other doubles. In addition, the riad states access to parking and adds a garden as part of the property. The riad offers shuttle service to the airport- The truth is: a SUITE obviously does NOT EXIST. There is no such room with 2 double beds. 2 rooms are too a fairy tale. The room just has a double and a small single bed (hard as a brick). The riad is in the middle of medina-like old town where cars can‘t drive at all. You have to get a porter which charges quite a bit. There is absolute no garden accessible- if you catch a glimpse over the roof wall you‘ll make out a quite sizable tree-and flowerless cemetary. The shuttle service is actually only a regular taxi that charged DH300,00 (€30,00) for a 10 minute drive. Upon arrival, we were about to leave since we really felt ripped off after viewing facts. Reaching Booking was not possible. The only peace-maker was Bader, the employee, wo tried to excuse the situation. The owners take good care of themselves on the other side of Africa, on Réunion. Of coarse they were out, so their unfortunate employee had the hassle. Back in Europe I contacted Booking and reported the fraud, sent photos as proof. Booking ignored the matter so I again called today. A friendly and dedicated Marina from Croatia did her job well and managed a slight refund for the overpriced room called „suite“. The owners‘ behavior is just like Marrakech itself: moneymoneymoney- no matter how. Fortunately, this foul attitude doesn‘t apply to the country all together.

United KingdomJust confirm with the hotel how many beds you are getting if you book a suite. they are more than accommodating.
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Le Riad de Salima. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The owner and their partner were very kind and hospitable, providing us with everything we asked for and more; such as bringing us fresh orange juice by the pool, and going out of their way to purchase and provide us with UK-European plug socket adaptors (2/3 of us forgot ours lol). All of the facilities were lovely, the pool was clean and there was a lovely rooftop area set up for chilling and chatting or lying down and catching a tan. The Riad is located right near the centre and about a 10-15 min walk from the Markets. We especially enjoyed staying here because it is located in a very residential part of the city and right outside your front door there are loads of local places to eat in and/or takeaway local food, and some very kind shop owners selling various confectionary items and other things you might find at a corner shop. When we arrived, we realised that the details on the room we had booked were slightly incorrect as we had expected 1 more bed in the room. But as the Riad wasn't very busy, the manager quickly and kindly offered us a solution that we were more than happy with. We booked the 'suite with pool view' and when we arrived we realised that the advertisement on booking.com was slightly incorrect, it advertises as '2 extra-large double beds and 1 sofa bed' - but there is only 1 extra large double bed that sleeps 2 and one single/sofa bed that sleeps 1. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Riad de Salima and will definitely be staying there again if/when we return from Morocco.
