Staying in a Riad gives you a more authentic experience but you don’t have all the modern conveniences of a hotel so it may not be for everyone.

We had a lovely time at riad Sakura. Erico was a fantastic host and helped us a lot. The Riad is just a short walk to the tourist sites in the medina but down a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. Would recommend to stay here if you’re visiting Marrakesh.

There are many cats around the area and so e are sneaking inside. I am personally not bothered by cats but for people who are allergic maybe it. An be problematic.

Very calm and silent. You can fully relax after spending time in the bazaar. It is run by a Japanese lady who really takes care of you and provides you with all information. Great breakfast and location. Easy to get it.

My friend and I were very excited about our trip to Marrakech, and while searching for accommodation, Riad Sakura immediately caught our attention! Not only did it have excellent reviews, but it was also centrally located. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Eriko, the riad owner. She was one of the kindest and sweetest people I’ve ever met. Eriko was incredibly helpful, offering valuable recommendations and travel tips for exploring Marrakech. The riad itself is charmingly small, with about 5-6 rooms, creating a cozy and private atmosphere. Breakfast was included with our booking, and it exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed relaxing breakfasts every morning on the terrace, where Eriko's staff were also very accommodating and friendly. Overall, Marrakech was one of the best trips I've been on, and staying at Riad Sakura was undoubtedly the best decision we made for this trip! I highly recommend Riad Sakura, and with Eriko as your host, you’ll be well taken care of and guaranteed a wonderful stay.

Not only is Riad Sakura beautifully restored and very comfortable but the owner/host is a lovely, helpful woman. She even let us stay an extra night while the beginnings of a construction project was going on! We were the only guests (she was actually closed for a few days.) The construction noise was minimal and we were very grateful.

You won’t regret booking a stay at Riad Sakura whilst in Marrakech, in fact, it will probably be the best decision you make. There’s a reason why this Riad has over 40 perfect ratings. The location and amenities of this quaint space combined with Eriko and her staff’s exceptional hospitality will leave you wishing you booked a longer stay. Overall, I could go on forever, but I will spare the details because other reviews have covered them extensively. This was genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had let alone in Morocco. You will not be disappointed. Beautiful riad location in the center of the old city (the medina). Very clean, with all the necessary amenities. The host was very helpful and responsive. Excellent breakfast was served upon our requested hours. Even though we had to leave early in the morning, the host made sure to prepare our breakfast earlier in order for us not to miss it. Transport from and to the airport was assisted by our kind host. Overall an excellent riad and definitely recommended. Thank you once again!

Because of the open-concept of the Riad's layout, you might overhear conversations from the ground level. But it's generally OK as there are a limited number of rooms and guests so we didn't find it too noisy during our stay.

The service felt incredibly personal – we were very well looked after by Eriko and her staff. They were so attentive to all of our needs and quick to help whenever we encountered difficulties. When we needed to leave early for a tour we'd booked, they accommodated us by serving breakfast earlier than usual. Later, the driver for that tour ditched us, which could have potentially ruined the rest of our day. When Eriko found out, she saved the day by helping us book an excellent desert tour as a replacement – we had such a good time. Eriko is incredibly knowledgeable as a Marrakech local and if you get the chance, you should hear her amazing stories of her backpacking days as well as her unbelievable journey towards setting up her beautiful Riad. Special shout out to Yaya, Kaman and the rest of her staff who took care of us and made us feel welcome. We were also charmed by Eriko's gorgeous cats, Guri and Momo. It was so relaxing to play with them after a long day of walking. We had such a restful time at this Riad – we could not have asked for more. 💛

Wow, this place is absolutely perfect. The room was totally incredible, very comfortable and spacious with great style. The breakfast was excellent. The owner and staff are really kind and welcoming. Amazing Riad in a super quiet street. We felt immediately at home, safe and taken care of. We didn‘t find the Riad on our own, but the owner fetched and guided us. The Riad is incredibly beautiful and although we stayed just one night, we were super relaxed after the stay. The breakfast is delicious! Can highly recommend Riad Sakura. Would love to come back one day. :)
