Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaWe didn’t enjoy the low temperature in the room and the fact that breakfast was served outside at 3°C. The breakfast lacked variety, consisting of omelet, croissant, jam, orange juice, and coffee every day. Additionally, the hotel’s location is off the main road, making it difficult to reach from the taxi station with large luggage.
The family running the hotel is very kind and attentive, doing their best to make our stay comfortable. Unfortunately, it was quite cold due to unusually low temperatures for this time of year. They provided warm blankets and even searched for an extra heater on New Year’s Eve to help. While the large temperature difference between day and night was challenging, we truly appreciated their efforts.

SpainThe location was in a poor neighborhood in a sketchy alley but it was situated in a central area called kasbah in the Medina. It is impossible to find it on google maps because it shows like Riad Sarasvati is in another street.About the place itself it is good but there were some issues like the air conditioning /heater unit didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during our stay.Another issue but more of a minor problem was that we spent two days asking for some towels and they didn’t arrive. The worst part was that when we got back there was only one bed when we had booked two beds so they had to bring an extra bed because they hadn’t prepared the rooms .
The riad was beautiful, authentic Moroccan arquitecture, very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The food was very nice and the staff was very friendly, welcoming and tried their best to be helpful.

PolandWell, the Riad is hard to find. Shouldn't we checked the place a day before (we were staying at another place in Marrakesh) we wouldn't be able to find it easily with all the luggage. And the place on Google map is incorrect so use the coordinates rather than the name. Another annoying thing is that the owner does not respond at all to messages and phone calls, so you're on your own. Fortunately the Riad's service people can help and I strongly advise after you get to the Riad to ask Hamza for his phone numer in order to get help if needed. To get to the Riad you need to hire a cart if you have heavy luggage.
Two hundred years old Riad, owned by a Berber family. Beautiful Berber's architecture, furniture, paintings. All composed with good taste. Nice rooftop with lots of space. Breakfast included, prepared and served by the Riad's service people: Hamza, Fatima and Lina. All very helpful in making our stay pleasant. We asked the ladies to prepare a fish tagine for Christmas Eve, they bought all ingredients in the local market, and served us with the delicious dish. The Riad is close to the local food market that is much more realistic than that in Medina's Souk.

United KingdomCharged tourist tax for our 5 year old.
The staff were lovely, rooms large and very clean and location good. Communication terrible, was offered a transfer that never appeared and they don't respond to messages on booking.com or the telephone number. Thankfully Karen on Google has left an accurate description of the location in her review so we managed to find it. However had a nervous 12 hours wondering if we'd have anywhere to sleep and was travelling with a young child so not ideal.

United KingdomSmall alley to access the property, the street appears in Bing map, but it does not appear in google map. If you search for Riad Sarasvati, it shows a different location, which is very confusing. Best to describe that it is 3 mins walk from Saadian Tombs.
Very friendly staff, good services. The room was much larger than we expected with very high ceiling almost like a grand room in a palace. We love this authentic riad experience. Excellent value for money!

ItalyIt's not easy to find, but you can contact the staff that will help you any time of the day.
Peaceful, quiet and the staff if exquisitely gentle. The rooms are spacious, it's clean and it's authentic. I have been traveling in Marocco for 2 weeks and this is the best Riad I found so far.

FranceSo many things are not acceptable with this hotel: 1) Impossible to find the hotel in the old city: other travelers have pointed out this issue in their reviews and it is still there. I had sent an email beforehand to the hotel to get directions: no reply. I had called multiple times the hotel before arriving: no one picked up the phone. 2) Only one person from the staff for the whole hotel and two cleaning ladies. They do not (or pretend not to) speak English (nor French). Very difficult to find them and communicate with them, required the assistance of a local version of Google translate. 3) No heating in my room: rooms can be very cold (or warm in the summer I suppose) given the traditional architecture of the building. Despite what the staff member claimed after multiple requests, the heating did not work and it was freezing in my room. 4) The shower did not work properly due to very low water flow and rather cold water. 5) Basic hygiene rules not respected, for instance staff refuse to remove their shoes before entering your room (with all its charm, the old city can be quite dirty).
The building and rooms are beautiful… BUT the rest is a scam. I decided to check out after the first night given all the issues described below and am still trying to get compensation

United KingdomCertainly not the easiest place to find, and the young men who took it upon themselves to 'help' us turned out to be extremely ungrateful following my £20 tip!! It all got a bit ugly, and it wasn't the start to the trip we wanted. My suggestion would be to aim to park close to the Kasbah and then phone the hotel and ask for assistance. They're only a few minutes away, and it could save you a good deal of grief.
What a find! Absolutely 100% Marrakech. Beautiful room, fantastic roof terrace, peaceful ambience, great breakfast's, and Hamza and his staff could not do enough for us.

SingaporeWe booked this place for 4 nights. The location firstly was bad. To find the place, it's very hard. You will need help. People on the street wanted to help and eventually asked for money which was a big turn off. The property was sweet but not conducive. The heating wasn't working so we slept in an extremely cold room and our 3 year old was starting to cough badly. When we took a shower, the water from the tub was flowing out into the room and we almost slipped and fell. It was not worth it at all for the price of the room. After 1 night, for our own and our daughter's safety, I had to look for another place to stay. We left immediately to another riad on the outskirts of marrakesh. During summer maybe this place works. But in Dec, not at all. I sent a msg and an email to the property to ask if we could get a refund on the 3 nights not stayed due to the conditions of the room and safety reasons. They didn't respond so I guess that's just hard earned money down the drain.
The staff were really nice and friendly. But they didn't understand English or French so communication was a little difficult. Breakfast was nice.

United KingdomThis is nothing to do with the hotel Be aware of the local waist-men who will try and charge you to park in the local street . When you tell them to clear off they don’t like it and get unhappy . My advice don’t speak to them just ignore them
I came here as it had parking . When I turned up they said there was non . But after a bit there was parking in a locked alley at the side of the riad . The staff were so helpful and things got sorted out . This property is an old place it was not perfect but it had something about it . It’s inside the medina and 10 minute walk to the main square . Which one of the staff walked me there . Great at the end of the day . Super place to stop with a motorcycle and very secure . You won’t park a car there . Make sure you go up to the roof to look over the area
