The outside space and plunge pool were a godsend. All rooms were tastefully designed and kitchen well equipped.

Lovely Riad, great for a family or group of friends. The breakfast varied slightly on each of the 4 mornings. And they accommodated some requests. The host was lovely, super friendly and helpful. The Riad is well located with lots of small shops and restaurants nearby. The main square is a bit of a walk but not too far. Pretty easy to grab a taxi a few meters from your doorstep. We had a great time upstairs in the evening, with some wine, beer and snacks bought from Menara Mall (10 min by taxi) Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Riad with cozy rooftop, partly covered with sunshades.  Very suitable for family trips. Raja provides breakfast and on request a delicious dinner. Possibility to eat both inside and on the roof terrace. Located in a lively area, small shops around the corner to buy water. Nice walk to the old center in 15 minutes and 20 minutes to Djemaa el-Fna and the souks. Laurent, the owner, is very responsive and helpful. Possibility to use the services of Jamal, the driver, which was very comfortable for a trip to Ourika valley and rides to various restaurants.

We liked everything about this accommodation. It was FANTASTIC. From the exquisite breakfast lovingly prepared at any time on request; the fantastic driver Jamal on hand for any ferrying about - particularly being there late at night for a medical emergency. Laurent was quick to respond to all messages and was patient about our changing requirements; the space is aesthetically stunning; the pool a refreshing oasis after the hustle and bustle of the medina; the beds were so comfy; the location was about half an hour walk from the square and the souks, yet tucked away in a more civilised part of town; the local people were friendly and helpful; the rooftop was a peaceful sanctuary and a social space to unwind; 11/10. Our group of 6 cannot wait to return.

The only thing we really needed was an extra towel. However we asked the host and we were provided straight away. It was then further explained that there is a water crisis in morrocco and there has been no rain for 3 years so they had to limit the washing.

I liked everything

This is a great property right in the heart of Marrakesh. The rooms are all a good size and all air conditioned which was much needed when we went. We made good use of both the plunge pool and terrace, and the kitchen was great for storing snacks and drinks. We were a group of women out there for our 50ths and once we had worked out where we were, we felt safe walking around near the property. That said the Riad owner/guide were always on hand to take us anywhere we needed. One tip is that if you can't find anything in the kitchen, ask the housekeeper who comes in and does the breakfast - we were short of wine glasses, but it turned out there was more there in a hidden cupboard.

Nothing, all was perfect and at a very reasonable price.

It was immaculate and exactly like the images.

The property was beautiful, stylish, light, clean, spacious and quiet. We all had enough space as a group of 7. The pool was great to cool down and the roof terrace was a great sun trap with enough shade to escape the heat. The breakfast being made for us in the morning was such a lovely touch and communication with the owners and local contacts was really straightforward. We all want to go back.

The riad was so beautiful with lots of space for our group, rooms were all large and clean and the rooftop is a gorgeous place to hang out. Host was very accommodating and helped us plans trips out and taxis! Couldn’t recommend more.

The property is beautiful the location is very convenient, with shops, stalls, a bureau de change and ATM nearby, it’s also located in the safest district in Marrakesh.

Common area, living space is cold but it was the colder season so it’s be be expected.

His warmth and friendliness added a personal touch that greatly enhanced our experience. The daily breakfast, prepared by Aïsha, was delightful. She offered a taste of authentic local cuisine that started our mornings on a high note. Moreover, the beautiful terrace was a highlight, offering a serene oasis where we could relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of Marrakech. Located ideally for those keen on exploring the old Medina, the riad's location was perfect. It allowed us easy access to wander through the vibrant streets, immerse ourselves in the local culture, and enjoy the historical beauty of Marrakech. This combination of excellent service, super location, and delightful amenities made our stay at Riad Shanam truly exceptional. You can arrange a driver via the riad.

Came to Marrakesh for 5 days with my friends and this riad was one of the highlights of the trip. It was beautifully designed with an authentic feel of morrocco. One of my favourite spaces was the terrace which was comfortable and had a lovely minimalist vibe. The host was also very kind and hospitable. I definitely recommend staying here if you are thinking of visiting Marrakesh.

The accommodation matched the pictures, everything was very clean, the house was very nice and with room for everyone, all the rooms had a bathroom, the terrace is great to enjoy the sun. The location was great because it was central and in the medina. The owners were very nice and very helpful!

The house is beautiful and well decorated in the middle of the Kasbah and many touristic attractions close by Laurent is very nice and reachable!

it s not reachable by car if you have luggage, parking is a bit far and not ideal with a baby it s a pity that there was no price when you rent less room, we found it a bit pricey for the market
