How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA superb stay from start to finish! Thank you so much to Aziz, Mohammed 1 & Mohammed 2 & Francois! The entire team were, friendly, and extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. On arrival we were met from the taxi in the nearby square and Aziz lead the way with our bags to the Riad. Literally a 1 minute walk. Check in included mint tea in the lounge, bags transported to our room and a quick geography lesson on the old town. When we first ventured out Aziz walked back to the little square with us to make sure we knew our way. Breakfasts were plentiful, varied and served fresh to our table. We had a lovely 3 course dinner on our last night which was cooked and served by Mohammed 1. His enjoyment of cooking was only surpassed by our enjoyment of eating the food he prepared! Various last minute requests for cars and drivers were handled effortlessly (even more impressive as we were there during Eid al Adha) and the team were more concerned than us when a return pick up didn't happen exactly the way they expected. However 2 WhatsApp messages later everything was sorted. The Riad itself is beautifully restored, calm and cool. A great location for discovering the old town and the rooftop terrace and plunge pool were very welcome after exploring in the heat. Just book it it you will be glad you did!
Nothing!

Verified reviewThe Riad was beautiful. It has a charming design and is clean and well looked after. The location is excellent. Most attractions are within a 10/15 minute wander. It is also on the edge of the Medina so very easy to find from Airport drop off - just a 1 minute walk. Also handy if you are planning to get a taxi anywhere or have any excursions booked. We received a friendly welcome from Simo and shared a peppermint tea with him. He provided us with some practical information regarding Marrakech and offered us some safety advice. He also helped us carry luggage for our pickup. We ate in the Riad one evening and were cooked a wonderful meal by Mohammad. I am gluten free and dairy free and he made sure to eliminate these from his recipe. Mohammad provided us with some advice on where to eat outside the Riad and also gave us recommendations on where to go for a drink. Mohammad answered all our curious questions about culture in Marrakech and provided a great insight into life there. Breakfast was a mix of pancakes and breads but eggs were available to order. You can purchase beer and alcohol at this Riad. We actually purchased some fizz from Carfoure and they kept it in the fridge for us. The roof top area is the star of the show. It was lovely chilling up there in the late afternoon after a busy day of sight seeing in the heat. The pool was great for cooling off. We also had booked a room with a private outdoor area and it was nice to chill there too. Every time we returned to the Riad there was a friendly face waiting to greet us and ask about our day. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing we would change about our stay would to have a small fridge in our room.
Would have been handy to have a fridge in our room but apart from that small detail we cannot fault it at all.

Verified reviewAwesome rooftop terrace, loved cooling down in the little pool in the middle of the day and tanning. Staff are helpful with more towels for the lounge area, bringing up tea/drinks, and providing advice.
We booked a taxi to the train station the night before, but it was given away to other guests. The new taxi, half hour wait, almost took us to the airport because it had been given wrong information by the staff.

Verified reviewOur welcome was lovely, with the traditional mint tea served. The accommodations were very traditional. The Riad was an easy walk to the souk and Madina. The staff arranged safe and reasonable transportation from and to the airport. A nice breakfast was included each morning.
I would recommend asking about the stairs should your mobility be limited.

Verified reviewLocation- very central Staff- Friendly especially Aziz and the couple of ladies working there.
Bathroom- dated and small. Shower did not have full force and water was not warm Just general cleanliness of the Riad could be improved as there was always rubbish on the stairs case. Also many flies around the dining area.

Verified reviewLocation was perfect, central but safe as it is tucked away on a side street. The terrace was a real highlight, very spacious and an ideal oasis for when things feel a bit hectic after exploring the medina. The pool looked pretty new as well! The staff were amazing, they worked really hard on making sure we had everything we needed. The room was a good size and spotless, and so was the bathroom. The products provided were also really nice.
Towels could be updated. A few are quite worn in the rooms and on the terrace.

Verified reviewOnly positive things to say about our stay, we’ll definitely come back next time we come to Marrakech. We felt at home from the very beginning, thanks to the cosy style of the Riad and the friendly host. The room was so much bigger than we expected, with a bedroom, terrace/ dining room and a living room. It was well decorated, clean and quiet during the night time. Above all, Mohamed was a fantastic host, always available and willing to help us with any request we had.
Everything was perfect

Verified reviewBeautiful riad in a perfect location. Easy to walk to El Badi Palace and the main square in less than 10 mins. So many restaurants nearby including the wonderful Pepe Nero. We were a family of 4 in 2 rooms and both were really nice and spacious. Ours had a little private terrace, which would have been great if they weather was better! Beds were firmly but comfy good shower and, great AC. Everything you need! The staff are the Riad's greatest asset- so friendly and helpful with everything. The rooftop is great for chilling out, sunbathing and even the little pool was refreshing. This was definitely a highlight of the Riad.
Breakfast wasn't my thing- very carb heavy and no choice - but obviously thats traditional Moroccan food so still nice and the service was great.

Verified reviewWe absolutely loved every minute of staying at Riad Signature and we will definitely come back. It’s hard to even put it into words - you should experience it yourself! What makes this place special and exceptional: - Hospitality. The people working at the Riad are one of the nicest we have met so far (and we travel a lot). We had Moroccan tea with the staff and had good conversations every evening:) - The architecture is beautiful, traditional Moroccan. The rooms are very nice and clean. - The location is perfect (it’s in the Medina, everything is in a short walking distance), but still away from the crowds at a quiet place where you can chill during or after a busy day at the souk. - The rooftop is beautiful with a great view of the city. - The breakfast is also delicious with fresh homemade pancakes, jams and cakes. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant - looking forward to coming back and seeing you soon again!!

Verified reviewWhere to start!? Riad Signature was faultless, the property’s charm was not limited to the aesthetics throughout but the staff, Mohamed, Aziz and the others we met during our stay. Nothing was too much for them and we were greeted with nothing but kindness and caring gestures each day. As 2 females on our first trip to Marrakesh we had some concerns or queries but these were put to the back of our mind with the assurance of the staff who gave us advice, organised restaurant bookings and taxis. They were on hand at all times with a smile, mint tea and cake - what more could we want. The riad itself was stunning and the rooftop pool felt like a delicacy after a busy day in the Soukhs or mountains. A great location, friendly locals and other riad owners who were happy to help with directions etc. The room was divine, a huge bed, lovely shower and clean. Aircon worked great, and the breakfast was perfect - crepes, cake, yoghurt, fresh jam and eggs on request. We feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem, it truly made the trip so much more memorable and we would go back only to be greeted with such lovely souls who worked at Riad Signature - thankyou x
Not a single thing I could think of.

Verified reviewWe had an amazing stay at this Riad, one of the best hotels in Marrakesh! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed into a peaceful oasis, perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring the city. The location was great, and the staff, especially Mohammed and Azize, were exceptional. They were both incredibly kind and helpful, offering great tips about the medina and the city. I have to say something especially regarding the patience of Mohammed. I lost a ring during my stay and Mohammed found it inside the safe after I had already left. His care, attention, availability and dedication were beyond anything I expected. How he made sure we had everything I needed was truly exceptional and is something that is not easy to find. Regarding the breakfast it was delicious and with traditional food, everyday something new! The pool in the terrace was a lovely spot to unwind. This Riad offers more than just a place to stay; it’s a home away from home. The combination of excellent service, great location and Mohammed’s hospitality made it a truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh!

Verified reviewThe photographs online do not do the suite we shared justice. It was larger than expected and having separate spaces was a bonus. The second bed was a proper bed not a sofa bed which made a huge difference to comfort. The separate lounge area was lovely and cool and so nice as it was completely separate. Having its’ own half indoor half outdoor area with chairs and table was lovely for preparing our own drinks. We took our own travel kettle and it was lovely arriving back after a busy day to have a tea or coffee in the comfort of your own space. There was plenty of storage space there for water, milk, snacks etc and what I describe as an old fashioned ‘cool step’ that our British grandparents had before the advent of refrigerators. The bathroom and shower were much bigger than others I have experienced in the years I have been travelling there, with an extractor fan and window which ensured no condensation. We always had plentiful hot water, lots of towels and toiletries were replenished each day. Breakfast was the usual Moroccan fare but the absolute bonus was freshly squeezed orange juice not out of a carton and natural yoghurt not ultra processed stuff. We had dinner twice there and it was beautiful and plentiful and we were only charged what it was priced at when I made the booking. The Moroccan wine served was delicious and only €21 per bottle. The outdoor space is huge with a lot of choice of where to sit or lie, plenty parasols for shade. The small pool looked lovely but we did not use it. The whole of the riad was impeccably clean.
WiFi wasn’t great. The only place we could always get access was by the double bed, sometimes you could in the lounge but never by the single bed. However this really wasn’t a massive issue and we understand it is a very old building. It was one of the furthest riads I have stayed at in getting to the main square which in itself is not really a negative but just to be aware, probably about 10 minutes if busy. We had an alteration to our return flight and needed to reschedule our return transport which I tried to do for several days, I spoke about this on several occasions just to confirm but I never felt sure it had actually been done. It wasn’t till our final night that I had 100% confirmation that it had been completed. This was a little stressful. On our final afternoon we requested our bill so as we could pay before dinner so as we could just fully relax and enjoy our last evening as we had to be up very early, I asked for it to be brought to us so as we could ensure we did not need to exchange more cash. But I had also asked to have our bill completed in the morning before we left for our last day out, to have it prepared for us. Neither of these happened and we had to pay after dinner when all we wanted to do was relax . Luckily I had kept a little extra aside as my sister and niece were a little short of their total.
