Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryRiad Simon is a perfect choice in every way! The riad is in a great location, and the Marrakesh atmosphere hits you the moment you step outside. The main square is close by, and you’re literally in the heart of the Medina. The place itself is clean, comfortable, and beautiful. There’s also a large rooftop terrace. Simon, the owner, is a very friendly, kind, and welcoming person. He’s very flexible, you can talk to him about anything, and he’s always ready to help. On top of that, he has a cat called “Sisi” who, surprisingly really good at playing football 😀 I can recommend this accommodation to anyone. Naturally, since it’s in the middle of the Medina, it can sometimes be noisy, but that’s true for all of Marrakesh, as the city lives 24/7. So you really can’t go wrong with this place—it’s a perfect option for solo travelers, couples, or even families.

United KingdomLovely little riad near the main square. They have a really friendly little cat who is just adorable. The host was great and printed our boarding passes for the airport too. I was worried it might be noisy as it's on a main street but we didn't have any issues.

United StatesShower needed better cleaning
The host was very very nice. He worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The bedroom was clean and had two beds. The shower in the bathroom was dirty. I picked up slippers to solve the problem. The terrace where breakfast was served was lovely and the included breakfast was good. Out the front door you were in the middle of all the action. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

AustraliaIt's not really a dislike, but I mentioned to Simon that I had got a fright when the people above me dropped something heavy. He immediately offered me a different room and made sure that I was comfortable. You can hear people talking and moving about, but it's not bad. The bed was a little firm but still comfortable.
Right in the middle of the bustling Medina, you open the door into a tranquil space. I was welcomed with a cold drink and waited for a short while for my air-conditioned room to get cleaned, which was then done daily. Breakfast was big and delicious and served on the room terrace with the cat and a tortoise for company. Hot water and toiletries on the compact bathroom, and this is the first place where I've had a safe in my room.

United KingdomRiad Simon was an oasis amidst the chaos of the medina. From the moment we arrived Simon and his team could not have done more for us, even Ceecee the cat was welcoming and happy to share an afternoon siesta. The accommodation was spotless with comfortable beds, a great shower and lovely breakfasts. Simon arranged a day trip for us and gave recommendations for places to eat. We will definitely be returning.

United KingdomA little noisey due to being in the centre of the Madina, needs a sign to advise other guests to respect sleeping guests on roof top. Children playing out at 3am woukd be good if someone could go out and ask them to leave but this was only the 1 night.
Warm welcome, clean and tidy. Breakfast plentiful, simon & his staff go above & beyond.

SpainThis Riad is a calm oasis in the middle of a vibrant and chaotic city, which you will encounter walking in just the middle of the Medina. Its small door hidden in the middle of a crowded alley would make it difficult to expect to have a silent and comfortable place just behind it. You will stay in a picturesque room and with a morning breakfast in the terrace is an amazing way to start the day and the staff is extremely friendly

United KingdomI can't complain at all. The price was decent - the hospitality wonderful and it's located in the craziness of the Medina. Breakfast was very filling and served with grace.
Riad Simon was a lovely place to stay in Marrakech. Its in the Medina, a short walk away from the famous square but easy to find as it's on a main alley. Simon and his staff are so welcoming - while allowing you your privacy. My friends stayed at a Riad which looked much more luxurious online but felt a little soulless when you got there. Riad Simon is small with a roof terrace for breakfast and to relax. Simon told me that he wanted his guests to feel at home and I certainly did. He was very helpful - he helped me buy a SIM card from a local seller when I lost part of the one I bought at the airport and printed off boarding passes the day l left. Nb get to the airport in plenty of time with printed boarding cards - the wait to get through to the gate is unbelievably long.

United KingdomFor me, personally, beds were very hard. I 100% appreciate beds are a personal preference. For me, they were hard, but for others they could be perfect, so this isn't a negative. It is my opinion.
For us, the location was great. Very central and in the heart of everything. The riad itself was so cute. I loved it. Simon and his staff were lovely. So friendly and helpful.
