Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI appreciate reviews that get specific, so I will share one location detail. The Riad is a few blocks off a very busy, cobblestone alley lined with shops and restaurants. It is too narrow for cars, but motorbikes, bikes, even donkey carts constantly weave through the throng of pedestrians. My friend found it lively and wasn't concerned, but I found it nerve wracking. Miraculously, no one seems to collide, but it was just too close for comfort for me. Clearly I have given Riad Siwan a 5 star review above, so I share it in the spirit of knowing your own wiring. Sidenote: take them up on the airport transfer. It would not be an easy place to find on your own, so they send a friendly man with a cart to take your luggage from the parking area to their door. Pay attention to little landmarks as he leads you there.
Riad Siwan is a beautiful, peaceful oasis in a bustling part of the Medina (the old city). It has been lovingly restored (check out the before and after photo album) and the owner and manager are warm, helpful, and give great recommendations. The staff could not have been more gracious. The rooms are clean, quiet, and elegantly decorated. Breakfast is delicious. We were enjoying the sunny, comfortable rooftop terrace so much one day that we decided to stay for lunch and it was fresh and tasty. We got so lazy/ happy that we abandoned our plans that day and just lounged in the lounge chairs reading and chatting. It is very centrally located to the top "must see places". Our favorite place was the fascinating Musee des Confluence, and amazing Riad that is a living example of Moorish architecture and design.

United StatesOne word - parking. There is a nearby lot, very close, proximity is not the issue. It's the parking attendants. You never really know if you're getting scammed or over charged. However, this is now a knock on Riad Siwan by any means; this is more Marrakesh itself. You car WILL be safe there (which was important for us having a rental car from Tangier), and it is close, however knowing some French or Arabic will get you far with the parking guys.
It was an absolute PLEASURE to stay in Riad Siwan. I could tell this was going to be a different booking experience because days before we even set out to Marrakesh, the manager of the Riad - Khaled - began messaging me to answer any questions, requests, or worries I had. He was with us every step of the way including giving us a tour of the Riad when we checked in, telling us about different connections he could hook us up with for opportunities in the city (we ended up shopping with a fantastic guide couple days later per his recommendation), and even walking and talking with us as we ran into him in the city. A fantastic man that came to make sure we had parked in the correct spot helped us with our baggage. If you have the pleasure of meeting Yassine, count yourself lucky. A truly genuine man that embodies all there is about Marrakesh. The breakfast every morning was FANTASTIC! Literally all the staff was absolutely incredible, and there were with us every step of our journey to assist in any way possible. The Riad is located in the heart of the Medina, BUT far enough that it is SOO peaceful and quiet. Once you step in, it's like your own hidden oasis. If this is your first time in Marrakesh, you will soon realize the importance of a peaceful place to come home to - believe me! We had the pleasure of staying in the 'Qamar' room with its own private balcony and INCREDIBLE bathroom. It was so luxurious, and yet so authentically Moroccan. Check out their website for more info/details riadsiwan.com The rooftop has several levels with the most gorgeous views over the city. We would watch the sunrise and sunset every day (when we weren't exploring the Medina down below). I'm running out of things to say, and I am sure I forgot other stories, but if you are on the fence about booking with Khaled and Riad Siwan... GO FOR IT!

FranceRiad Siwan is a hidden gem, tucked away from the bustling alleys of the Medina. The manager Khalid and his staff are very welcoming and friendly. They will assist you with any of your travel needs. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. Coming back to the riad after a day out in busy Marrakech is like coming back home. We warmly recommmend this riad.

IcelandNothing! It was all magical.
This beautiful Riad hotel exceeded our expectations. Absolutely beautiful house and interior, the staff were wonderful, polite and prepared to assist us whenever. We were welcomed by Khalid, offered a light lunch after our long flight which was delicious and made restaurant reservations for us. He was there at our beckon call to assist with anything needed. The breakfast was very good, fresh produce and beautifully laid out. Although the Riad is in the heart of the Medina, it was absolutely calm and quiet there, only bird song and tranquility. I strongly recommend Riad Siwan and would love to go back.

United KingdomEverything was nice
Riad Siwan is a labour of love, everything is so nicely thought of and executed. The stay was very comfortable. The attention to detail is remarkable. The staff is very friendly and always have a smile on their face when you meet them. The roof terrace has beautiful 360 degree views, where you can relax. Best part was breakfast which we could have in the dinning area as well as on the roof terrace.Riad Siwan is walking distance from the Medina but still quiet from the hustle bustle. Khalid the property manager was very nice and quick in responding to any query we had.He had arranged a pick up for us and also arranged for a car on hire when we requested on our last day. He also arranged for a local guide to take us around on the first day. A big thank you to him.

United KingdomThe Riad listed a swimming pool, and after the earthquake ,when we contacted Riad Siwan we were assured that all services were available. That was not strictly accurate. The pool was unfilled, and when we asked why, we were told that due to some structural damage, there was concern that that corner of the building would not cope with the increased wait of the water. We felt that this should have been flagged up before our arrival.
Evening meal was very good. Breakfasts were acceptable, if a little unimaginative and with not much variety. All staff were very welcoming, and did everything possible to make our stay enjpyable. We appreciated the arrangement that to enter the Riad, it was essential to ring, and be admitted by a member of staff.

United KingdomThe breakfast was disappointing as myself and my partner were expecting a magnificent breakfast in keeping with the quality of the riad and the room rate. Breakfast was traditional, breads, pancakes, preserves and a serving of either fresh fruit or yoghurt. Coffee was very average compared to barista quality close to the riad in various cafes. Ater a couple of breakfasts in the hotel we chose alternative options outside, of which there are plenty. I can strongly recommend Mandala Society which is a 2 minute walk away.
Beautifully renovated riad with very well appointed rooms particularly the bathroom which was stunning.
