How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing stay at this beautiful riad! Just a €3 taxi from the Medina, giving easy access while letting us enjoy the authentic moroccan life. The area feels very safe and welcoming. Has great local shops and restaurants, without touristy prices, where we could find quality products. Everything was very clean, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, even better than in many higher-rated hotels. The homemade breakfast was varied and delicious every morning. Big thanks to Mustafa for his excellent tips and warm hospitality, he made our trip truly special. Highly recommend!

Verified reviewEverything was exceptionally good. We had the best chicken tagine ever ( experienced a few) . The area is suburban but busy with markets, parks and very lovely people.. Mustafa could not have been more professional in his care of customers and residence…
I arrived in poor health and was less able to enjoy the house and its area..

Verified reviewOur stay at Ryad Syba was absolutely perfect. The place is spotless, the breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner there—an excellent tajine that we highly recommend! Although the riad is located a bit outside the Medina, it's easily reachable either on foot or by transport. What truly made the difference was the incredible kindness and availability of the host, Mustapha. He was always ready to give us advice, help with anything we needed, and made us feel at home from the very first moment. We couldn't have asked for more!

Verified reviewThe look and feel of staying in an authentic, well-managed Riad. The reception/breakfast/pool area and the rooftop terrace were completely charming and relaxing. Our room was large and comfortable and our bathroom was beautiful. Mustafa was exceptionally helpful. Good breakfast included. About a 10-minute walk to inexpensive neighborhood places to eat for lunch or light dinner. With a day's notice, Mustafa can arrange a for delicious tajine dinner to be served on site. Area is safe to walk and not touristy at all, so we saw real life in action in this working class neighborhood.
A 40-minute walk to the medina, or you can test your negotiating skills with the taxi drivers. The sound of motorbikes in the narrow street .

Verified reviewWalking in I immediately felt calm. It’s tranquil, with a beautiful pool, in the centre of the riad. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was very pleasant, inward facing. Breakfast was good. Mixture of breads, jams, omelette. Bathroom lovely. Vehicle access is the end of the road, and a short walk. Trying to find the front door is not easy… I walked past 3-4 times! Google maps will be your friend!! Circa 20-30mins walk from the centre, but plenty of local markets closer. Highly recommended.

Verified reviewBeautiful traditional riad with peaceful ambience. The room we booked was quite big and we absolutely loved the bathroom decor. Also, beds were very comfy; we definitely had restful sleep here. I have to highlight the common seating area by the pool - absolutely stunning. It takes approximately 30 mins by foot to the medina, for the taxi we paid 60 during the day and 90 MAD at night. Mustapha welcomed us warmly and was very heedful during the whole stay. Definitely recommended!

Verified reviewVery traditional Riad. Staff are lovely, always smiling and can't do enough for you. Food was really good! You need to try the tagine WOW! (order in advance). So peaceful and relaxing. We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Not too far from the medina (between 50-100MAD in a taxi depending on driver). Amazing value for money. Our room opened out onto the terrace which was a lovely touch.

Verified reviewMustafa the owner is simply the kindest person I’ve met during my trip. He’ll make sure you have all that you need all the time. Always ready to make you a delicious marocan tea. The property is located in a local neighbourhood which makes the stay more authentic - you’ll see marrocan people shopping, taking the kids to school, going to work. I absolutely enjoyed my stay there. Local buses costs 4 MD (0,38 EUR) and will get you anywhere you need to go in the city. Properly is not too far by taxi from the airport. Highly recommend.
