How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe staff are an excellent team that work well together to meet our needs. Breakfast gave us a very good start to the day. We ate food in the lovely surroundings of the Riad. The central location in the Medina is really important. Only a short walk from most of the major cultural and historic sites as well as the restaurants and souks. Our trip to the Atlas Mountains was arranged with the minimum of fuss and demonstrated the high level of efficiency of the Riad management.
The room could have been slightly wider.

Verified reviewOur stay at the Riad Ta’ achchaqa was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enchanted by its serene atmosphere and stunning traditional Moroccan architecture. Tucked away in a quiet alley yet centrally located, the Riad offered the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience for exploring the medina.
Dear Stephen, we have strived our best to create a magical atmosphere for our guests to enter into another world when they step in our house: traditional, intimate, fascinating. And very quiet indeed.

Verified reviewWe stayed here for 7 days and the whole team made us feel like home from the first day. The location, inside the old Medina, even if it was hard for us to find the Riad in first place, you get used to the way very soon. This Riad is such a calming and quiet place in the middle of the beautiful chaos of the old Medina. The food and the breakfast was of high quality and so tasty!! Tbh, we had there the best tea so far, thanks to the man of the evening shift!!The location couldn't be better for us in order to get a real feeling for the vibes of Marrakesh. Thank you to the whole crew who made our stay unforgettable and one thing is for sure, we will come back.
The only thing we didn't like is that we had to leave this beautiful place. 🥲
Thank you very much. It was a pleasure to have you with us and we look forward to having you back any time soon. We take great care in preparing our famous breakfast: everything is home made and served anytime you like: we are very flexible and happy to make you feel at home :-) And yes, the Moroccan tea requires a special expertise to be blended properly and we select the ingredients carefully to provide the best tea.

Verified reviewThe Riad was beautiful and the staff most friendly we have ever experienced during many travels. Helpful, smiling, accommodating. The place felt like a little paradise in the heart of the busy Marrakech. Smelled of flowers, bird singing each morning. Food was delicious. We stayed with a toddler and she got also so much love from the staff. Perfect location too.. I would not stay anywhere else,if we go back to Marrakech ❤
We are so happy that you have enjoyed our riad. Indeed the quiet of the riad is a striking feature and having the opportunity to listen to birds singing every morning is a special treat for guests used to live in big cities. Forgotten pleasures... We love kids and we take extra care in preparing homemade food. Our riad is indeed full of flowers and good smell to help guests to relax. We look forward to you coming back so you will be able to taste new dishes. Take care

Verified reviewWhat a great stay. The friendliest, most helpful staff who kept in contact with us before the trip, they helped us with changes as they came up on WhatsApp, helped us arrange transfers. The riad is a great location in the medina but is quite hidden behind side roads - once you see where they are located near to on google maps, you can work it out after one trip out. They have a night guard to take you from the side street to the riad which made us feel more at ease too! The breakfast was fantastic. The beds were comfy, showers were warm and great pressure, there was wardrobe space and it was all around great stay. We will be back.
Was a bit unsettled on the first trip to road, but we got our bearings after 1 outing. The medina is very safe and people are helpful to find our way around.
Thank you very much for your detailed review. We actually take care of every single aspect in order to make guests happy and comfortable in respect of everything when they stay with us. Take care and come back soon !

Verified reviewThe Riad is very nice!
It’s not difficult to find the property, if you have a simple map, available in the reviews. Unfortunately the hotel didn’t prepare such map themselves.
We are so happy that you have liked your stay with us and we look forward to having you back now that you know the way to our “secret” place :-)

Verified reviewThe staff were wonderful and really friendly. Lovely little room which was perfect for just me and enjoyed the roof terrace. Beautiful breakfast each morning. Excellent value for money,
Use the instructions from another user and don’t rely on Google Maps!
I am glad you enjoyed your cosy single room which indeed provides excellent value for money for solo travellers. We provide transfer service form the hotel directly to the riad: we did inform you that the first time in the old Median of Marrakech is very difficult to find your way by yourself. I recommend all guests to take advantage of our efficient service to reach us smoothly the first time. Indeed as we wrote you after your booking: do not rely in Google Maps in the Medina.

Verified reviewVery nice traditional decorated room. Lovely open area for eating etc. The staff was very kind and helpful. We ate breakfast and it was delicious and adopted to our preference. We highly recommend this Riad. You can't use the Riad:s address in Google map, it will be a dead end. Use this address in Google map: "Barbershop, 46 Rte Sidi Abdelaziz, Marrakesh 40000, Marocko" then look for the gate in picture below and follow signs for the Riad.

Verified reviewEnjoyed my stay here. Breakfast was lovely and the room was clean with heating. The Riad itself is very beautiful as pictures don’t do it justice. The staff were also very nice and helpful. I wasn’t aware about the different charging sockets compared to the ones in the Uk. The staff were really helpful and nicely got me one to use for most of my stay. The location is inside the medina and can be quite confusing to locate however, security is provided close to the Riad at night. I will definitely be returning here on my next stay in Marrakesh.

Verified reviewWe liked the location
None of the staff knew basic English. We struggled to get any info of help from them. Explaining them basic things was very difficult. Basic facilities like hot water kettle etc were not available. Also, after booking they sent message that they only accept cash. Which was big problem. They had used bad conversion rate and left us with no option.
