Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The breakfast is absolutely incredible, with a huge selection of different Moroccan specialties. Very high quality. Thank you so much.

United StatesAmazing Riad! Right in the heart of Fes, steps away from the Main Street and a few minutes walk to the Blue gate. Very clean and spacious rooms and shared spaces. The hospitality from the family running it is unrivaled, they are so warm and make you feel so at home and will provide lots of help and guidance. The breakfast is delicious and huge. My favorite Riad in Morocco! Would definitely stay here again!

PortugalRiad Tafoukt has a great location in the heart of the old medina, it's a two min walk from the Blue Gate and easy to find. Despite the central location the property was very quiet. The best thing about my stay was the kindness of the brothers who manage the accomodation. Special thanks to Abdul Gani for the welcome tea and interesting conversations which enriched our minds, to Khalid who took us on a tour of the city and last but not least Ayoub and all staff for the hospitality and making us feel at home. They have some board games to play in the common área “Solo Noble”. The breakfast was rich and great. Overall an excellent choice.

United KingdomStaff said card payment was not working so we had to get cash for payment other than that it was a good stay.
We had a lovely stay at the Riad. The location was quite close to the blue gate so you don't need to carry your luggage for too long. The Riad was nicely decorated and the rooms were quite beautiful as well. Breakfast served was very good and the staff kept on bringing food until we were full and refused to eat any more. The location is good and you can reach all the sights within 15 mins. Great restaurants are located nearby and we can recommend Al Oud for a great meal. Overall a great stay and good value for your money.

New ZealandThe host family are the nicest people. The Riad is a beautiful and comfortable refuge from the sometimes intensity of the Fes Medina. And so much thought has gone into small details of the guest rooms.

AustraliaThere are a number of activities like guided tours and optional dinners cooked, but there seems to be a reluctance by the hosts to be explicit about the costs. You’ll get it added to your bill at the end - maybe just ask the exact price beforehand.
The riad has been recently renovated in a beautiful fashion and has only been open a year (if you’re wondering why there aren’t lots of reviews yet). It’s run by male members of a family who are very attentive and emphasise the family nature of the space and guesthouse. Abdul senior in particular was exceptionally warm and welcoming. He also took us on a shopping trip to buy vegetables at the souk, which was fun. Dinner cooked by Amal was delicious.

ItalyLike many other properties and restaurants in the Medina, this Riad is cash only (as clearly explained in the booking confirmation email). Payment in local currency is recommended
The Riad is beautiful, well furnished and decorated, located in the heart of the Medina within walking distance from the Blue gate. Rooms were spotless clean, breakfast (included) is delicious and generous (like that you can easily skip lunch after that!). Khalid and his family are excellent host and they make you feel at home since the very first minute you step in. He arranged transports for me, provided tips and recommendations and even organised a birthday dinner for me with authentic and delicious homemade Moroccan food.

AustraliaAfter spending time in Marrakech, we moved to Fes and this Riad became my "first impression of Fes" >> lovely and friendly people. It's not like regular hotel but it's more like a homestay experience with a lovely Moroccan family hosting you during your stay. We met the son which was friendly and talkative. He welcomed with mint tea and took a walk to show us around the area. In the morning, the friendly dad served a lot of breakfast and he always asked if we want anything more. Beautiful architecture inside the riad is also "very Fes", looks authentic but well maintained. And location is perfect! It's almost at the main route, not too loudly but convienient to walk to all attractions and it's surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants. Totally great value.

FranceIt is a family business, and guests have wonderful contact with the owners who make all possible to make the stay great. The location is exceptional. It was one of the main reasons I booked there, and it was a sure shoot. It is very close to the Blue Gate (where taxis can drop travelers), just by the side of one of the main pedestrian streets. Other riads were on the other side of the Medina, and when walking there one realizes that there is nothing around. The place itself is very beautiful, with a nice room and large bathroom, with good air conditioning! The breakfast was wonderful, one can drop lunch after that breakfast. They also offer a very good dinner, with prices similar to the surrounding restaurants, but with way better quality. Khalid was very helpful in showing the main places in the Medina and showing shops we could trust. He also made contact with a travel agency (prices equivalent to those found on the Internet) for several day trips. He booked the trips and made the transportation up to the meeting point. When one doesn’t have many days, it is much easier to just discuss with him and let him take care of the organization.

United StatesThe only tiny thing was the beds are hard. We didn’t even mention it, because what were they going to do? I think this is typical in Morocco and not a reflection on the Riad, you certainly cannot find a better place at this price than Riad Tafoukt.
You are treated as family. Khalid and his family are the warmest hosts and see to your every need. Breakfast is available every day whenever you wish it. You can have long interesting conversations with both Khalid and his uncle. The Riad is steps off a main tourist street, but is much quieter. A three minute walk to the Blue Gate to get a taxi. The Riad itself is beautiful. The bathroom is very good. It does not smell at all and the shower is contained and therefore it is not a wet room which is nice. You are provided a key to both your room as well as the front door, so the riad is secure. There is also a lockable drawer in your room for your valuables. The whole building is beautiful, with carved ceilings and moldings, tile everywhere and beautiful furniture. Finally, I felt a bit self conscious being an American Jew with the genocide that is occurring in Palestine. We were flabbergasted that Khalid speaks fluent Hebrew and leads tours specifically for jewish visitors. His neighbor growing up was Jewish and taught him Hebrew for seven years! He could not be more welcoming. What a strange and wonderful world to come to a Riad such as this!
