Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThere is nothing to dislike.
Staff friendly approachable and went out of their way to assist with restaurants and initial navigation through the Medina. The Riad eax beautifully and thankfully decorated. Very peaceful courtyard after a day out.

United KingdomI felt there was little privacy at times: the doors don’t come with a lock and key, and although the staff are absolutely wonderful, I felt uncomfortable at the idea that other guest could have easy access to our room if they wanted to. It should be stated in the listing. If I had been a female solo traveler, I would have 100% booked elsewhere knowing this. There are also wide gaps in the door and window frames you can literally see through, so we had curtains drawn at all times.
I loved how authentic and curated the space was. It felt like an oasis in the middle of the medina. I especially loved the breakfast area, on the rooftop. The dinner on our first night was delicious, probably the best we had in the city if I am honest. The staff are lovely and they would do anything to make your stay comfortable.

PortugalThe location of the riad is not the best. Although in the center, it is on a narrow, dirty street, which is unpleasant when arriving and going out. I don't know why the terrace was also not being used. Although the garden was beautiful, it would be good if we could use the terrace, as well.
We enjoy a lot the service, and availability to help us on the transfers; to know better the location of the riad and surroundings; and on the restaurant reservation. We love the breakfast; and the room decoration.

Room sizes are very generous so a great option for groups of friends or families. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. Great location to access the medina and great staff on hand to help you with understanding the medina layout, provide mint tea and water complimentary.

RomaniaThe terrace was not open, unfortunately. I mean it was open but not arranged. Dusty and the chairs and tables in a corner. But I can understand that maybe was not the proper weather yet. Did not expect it tho.
The breakfast was excellent, so tasty! The staff was very helpful, Noel offered to show us the way to the main square and gave us some tips and tricks :) The riad was very quiet, nice and with good people overall. The room was perfect! The bed so big and so so comfortable. The bathroom was very big and aesthetically pleasing.

CanadaWe found it quite dark in our room. Our toilet was leaking from the tank, which never really got fixed. We did a hammam at the riad, which was not up to expectations. It never got hot enough, and the space was much too small for a couple. One of us was not able to lie flat, so we had to keep switching places to complete our treatment. Not ideal However, the massage afterwards took place in our room, which was very good.
The breakfasts were incredible. A little different each day and very delicious... french toast, crepes, fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea.. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The courtyard was gorgeous, bright, and always great to come back to... chirping birds and all. Khadija was very welcoming.

United KingdomIt was perfect.
It's important when travelling solo to get your stay right. I was spending my first week alone, whilst my friend (who was walking the Sahara for charity) could join me for the second. Riad Tchaikana is within the old city walls where cars cannot enter. Manager Khadija organised everything and it worked perfectly...a vehicle collected me at the airport, then transferred me to a porter for the final 5 minute walk to Tchaikana. It was a magical walk and a wonderful introduction to the traditional Medina of Marrakech. I was very much welcomed by all the Staff on arrival. I was shown my room and then, over mint tea and biscuits, Khadija gave me a detailed map and marked out where we were, the important landmarks & most interesting places to visit. And then, in order to get me really grounded, she took me on a walk through the alleyways and souks to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square. I so welcomed this because I am someone who can easily get lost...but now I had a decent map and landmarks. I still got lost though, which is part of the fun of being somewhere that has unnamed streets....but I always got myself home because of that first introduction Khadija gave. Riad Tchaikana is very old indeed and all the rooms are beautiful & romantic. The suite we booked was large, very clean, crisp linen & decorated in minimalist Moroccan style. The bathroom with Tadelakt plasterwork was a joy to be in. Every day the room was cleaned, refreshed and made good. The breakfasts were a great treat and allowed you to interact with the other guests if you so wished. For the first week the chef cooked delicious suppers for me. It was quiet at night. The Call to Prayer was light and lyrical. My friend slept through it but I found myself waking to hear the Muezzin as his voice was quite special. You will have songbirds for company in the morning at breakfast. The staff are all fabulous, caring, full of good ideas....and funny.

United StatesThe rooms don’t have traditional locks, and being American, we never leave our doors unlocked :) I if I remember correctly, there was a safe in the bathroom, but some things are too large for the safe. We just locked them in our suitcases, but the property feels very safe and secure. So it ended up being no issue.
Lovely riad in the middle of the old Medina. We went ahead and booked airport transfers with the riad, and so glad that we did. There is no way we could have figured it out. Vehicles are not allowed inside of the Medina, so we were driven to the border, where we met up with a porter who took us, and our luggage the rest of the way to the riad. The riad has been well-maintained and nicely decorated. Every room was a gem. The riad staff was amazing. We had early morning departures for some of our excursions and they arranged a very early breakfast for us. Breakfast usually consisted of yogurt, pastry, juice, coffee, olives, and condiments. (Not a lot of protein, so if you need that in the morning, be sure to pack some protein bars.) The riad is about a 15 minute walk from the main square, and a 30 minute walk from the palace.
