How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA lovely riad, staffed by a lovely team, in a great location. Beautiful building, a huge room with a shower big enough for six, a terrific breakfast that would feed three, and a gentle atmosphere with all the delights of Marrakech just a ten minute walk away. Highly recommended… I know that I’ll be back!
Nothing. A great find!
We'd like to thank you all for your wonderful reviews. We hope to see you again

Verified reviewEverything from here is walkable Staff could not be more attentive or kinder Staying in a Riad like this is definitely the way to see and experience the real Marrakesh
Just a bit of advice to travellers. Accept the offer from the Riad to arrange a taxi. They will meet and greet you beautifully and ensure you find the Riad with no fuss.

Verified reviewStaff --abdul, Latifa, Michele, and another nice man whose name I did not get-- were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic, next to Mallah square, which is not as wild as the other areas, yet very well connected.
Not much. The room was good. The price was similar to the other riads we stayed in but the overall quality was a notch below. Still, I'd recommend the place just because of how great the staff are.

Breakfast could be better... Slightly overpriced
Thank you for your comment. For breakfast you could have asked Latifa what you would have liked that was not on the menu. Too bad

Verified reviewGreat spot, everyone’s lovely and open area is nice to hang out in
Only problem with place is our room was right on the alleyway so it could be quite noisy at night some times

Verified reviewThe staff are very friendly. Especially Michele who looked after us in the evenings and welcomed us on the first night. He was a great help and made us feel so welcome and safe. We found it hard to find when we first arrived as the taxi driver gave us some directions in broken english which were wrong or we picked up wrong. We arrived at night and went off the square through in to one of the market places after everything had closed for the night. We did not feel very safe here as it was our first night and we had so much anticipation from all the stories we had heard. If only we new that the Riad was practically on the square (down a small lane) just next to "le tanjia" restaurant. After this first adventure everything felt a lot safer and we settled in with help from Michele. Breakfast was as described and the staff were always very nice and prompt with it. The terrace on the roof is a beautiful little haven. Was great to experience a Riad rather than a hotel. I think my experience of Marrakech would have been lessened so much without the Riad experience.

Verified reviewThe decoration, design and cleanliness of the Riad as well as our room were impeccable. They take care of every detail and we were always treated kindly. It made us feel like we were in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was amazing with a great variety of choices, the staff was always polite and helpful.Totally recommended.
The entrance passage to the Riad is very dark, at night it looks dangerous but it is not.
The whole team would like to thank you for your excellent rating of the Riad. We hope to see you again!

Verified reviewGreat breakfasts included. Quite nice interiors.
Found a non-identified short bug in the bed. Pretty bad and intense canalisation and humidity smell. Difficult to find. Completely scammed by recommended parking (200 dhs for 2 nights).
Thank you for your feedback, which helps us to improve our service. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Concerning the "insect", it was your duty to report it to us on the spot, either to Abdou, or especially to Assia the chambermaid. You stayed there for 2 nights. We are surprised that you did not ask to change rooms. We would have been happy to do so. We are very vigilant about hygiene. As far as the car park is concerned, we are in no way responsible for the price you paid. These are private car parks.

Verified reviewIncredibly central hidden down a tiny alley which at first seemed a bit unsafe, but everyone was so kind. Staff could not be better. Superb breakfast on the upstairs terrace. Helpful info about the area and trips etc. Lots of character within the Riad. Straight out the door you are onto the main shopping alleys to the square and next to the Bahia palace and Jewish quarter. Quiet. Sunbeds and parasols and even spare hats to borrow.
Really hard beds and pillows sadly. Some people may love that. Our room on the ground floor suffered from a bit of damp so windows kept open and and dehumidifier kept on. Views from the roof not great as tumbled down houses around the back. And the swimming pool is really just a plunge pool. But I guess would be good for a dip on a hot day.
Dear Rosemarie, Thank you for your comment about the Riad. Unfortunately we still have some problems at the Riad and in town following the earthquake. We do our best to satisfy our guests. We hope to see you again, if only to share a glass of tea.

Verified reviewStaff , especially Rıda and other young lady. We felt like home. Decoration is awesome, high ceiling and old style bathroom and room decoration is great details. Location is top notch, very quiet silence Riad in Marrakech. If we go to Marrakech again we will definitely stay in this hotel again.
No bum gun, very uncomfortable bed (please change your beds). Breakfast also needs some attention. We had two type of jams and Croissant that's all. Those are the problem can be fixed very easily.
The whole team would like to thank you for your visit. We take note of your constructive criticism, which enables us to make progress... it is nevertheless difficult to please everyone, but we do our best. During your stay you should have spoken to Latifa about our breakfasts. We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again.

Verified reviewWe were very pleasantly surprised with how beautiful our room was. The breakfast was also great, staff very friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned to an impeccable standard every single day. Air con worked great and it was also in a handy location. We were a bit unsure when we first arrived as the Riad is just off a very busy street but once in the Riad it’s like its own peaceful sanctuary. The rooms as well were super quiet.
The only thing I’d suggest is that the creams and lotions provided in the shower had labels as we weren’t sure if things were for your hair or body but this is a really minor thing to point out :)
Thank you very much for your comment! We'll pass it on to the whole team. We appreciate it - it's constructive and helps us to improve. We hope to see you again soon.
