How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewMy stay at Riad Teslite was truly unforgettable. The riad is absolutely beautiful, with elegant traditional Moroccan details that create a warm and authentic atmosphere. Every corner is decorated with care, and the serene ambiance makes it the perfect place to relax after exploring Marrakech. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, blending modern amenities with traditional charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to help and make sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. The location is also ideal — close enough to the vibrant Jemaa El Fna square and the Medina, yet tucked away in a peaceful spot where you can truly unwind. Overall, my experience at Riad Teslite was wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine and memorable stay in Marrakech.

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at Riad Tislite. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I especially appreciated the authentic Moroccan details throughout the riad. The breakfast was delicious and served with care every morning. Overall, a fantastic experience – I would highly recommend Riad Tislite and I’ll definitely come back!

My first room was small so i asked for a bigger one. Both of them had a very tiny bathroom, not at all comfortable. IN addition the shower was not draining our so the bathroom soon turned in to a lake. THe air conditioning was point directly to the bed, so could not keep it on during the night. The lady at breakfast, though very nice, did not understand my requests

However, when you requested a change, we were more than happy to upgrade you to our Royal Suite at no additional cost, simply because your comfort is our top priority. Regarding the bathroom, the shower does drain properly — as we mentioned during check-in, you just need to remove the cover for better flow. As for the air conditioning, it functions normally, but we’re always available to assist with any adjustments. We also apologize if there were any misunderstandings during breakfast; our staff always strives to be helpful, and we continue to improve our service. The location offered breakfast, but the breakfast started at 9am. When we requested the staf to serve it earlier they did, but the quality was very low. Also, there was a problem with the bed settings. When booking, we indicated we needed single beds and not a single large bed. When we arrived, the room had the large bed. We requested a change, they indicated they would do it but only did it for the last night. So sleeping conditions were bad. Further, the bathroom was in bad shape. First, the shower rose was leekint and made all the bathroom wer when we showered. We had to request toilet paper meaning that we didn't have toilet paper for the first night. The sad part is that we saw the bathroom from anotherroom and it was great. Lastly, there was the problem of payment. Upon arrival, I indicated I wanted to pay with card. They said the machine was broken, but later they showed it was working. After this, the person working for the hotel tried to push me to cancel my reservation at booking.com saying he didn't want to pay the booking.com fees and I would get a discount. When I refused, he charged us 5 euros more for the accommodation. He even tried to charge me two times. I refused as I could check the payment went through with my credit card app. It wasn't a smooth stay and I even fot my sunscreen due to the stress.

However, we would like to clarify several important points: Breakfast Contrary to what was mentioned, our breakfast is served from 8:00 AM, not 9:00 AM. As we are a small riad, we try to avoid disturbing other guests early in the morning. That said, we made an exception and served you earlier due to your excursion. Please also note that our cook starts work at 7:30 AM to prepare fresh items such as msamen and baghrir, which require time to make. It is therefore not possible to serve a full breakfast at 6:00 AM, as you requested. Payment and cancellation We did experience a general internet outage in the area, confirmed by an official message from Maroc Telecom, which we can provide. As for your reservation, we never asked you to cancel it. You were the one who suggested this in order to get a discount, and we simply tried to accommodate you. We would also like to clarify that we did not accept any official cancellation from your side, and we believe this attempt to cancel may have been used to justify leaving a negative review. Therefore, we do not accept this cancellation request. Beds We arranged for two single beds as requested during your stay, but there was no such request indicated in your original reservation. We made the change as soon as a suitable room was available. Bathroom There was indeed a problem with the showerhead, which can happen in any hotel. Had you informed us earlier, our team would have repaired or replaced it right away. We also sincerely apologize for the temporary lack of toilet paper, which was a one-time oversight. Despite our efforts to make your stay enjoyable, we regret that you were not satisfied. We take every comment seriously to improve our service, but some criticisms do not accurately reflect the reality of your experience

They upgraded the room for us, i found out that I booked a room without a toilet, the toilet was in the common area, but only you have the key. I didn't see that when I booked. There was a toilet in our room, but it was very small, it was inconvenient to wash, water was literally everywhere, you stand near the toilet. The area is normal, but when we approached the riad, the children mosted us, shouted at us as if they had never seen a white face, it was very annoying. The breakfasts were very good.
