How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt literally is steps away from the old medina, well basically you're inside the medina already. Next to it is a very exceptional restaurant (rooftop one). I love that the place is accessible for pickups as well, just 10-15 mins of walk to get there. I highly appreciate the host and his family. They were very kind. They offered to see their rooftop and use their charging outlets in the central room. Breakfast was great! Truly an authentic Moroccan experience. The room is so beautiful too! The designs are so colorful! I love the sink so much and the decorations! It also follows the central courtyard airflow system type of architecture so it's cool at night and not too warm in the afternoon. To see that in person, an ancient architectural concept in action, is beyond amazing! It has towels, shampoos, and little bar soaps. Snack and drinks are available in the central room.
The way to the place is kinda tricky, crowded and very busy. It's a great way to get immersed with the authentic Moroccan culture nonetheless. I'd advise guests who will book to ensure having their own toiletries, there are some, but might not be your preference. The place has bottled water too, as for any new places, where our body isn't accustomed to, it's best to brush and drink from the bottled water.

Very unfriendly. They didn't talk more than the inevitable but complained because I asked for toilet paper!!!! The woman said they do not give toilet paper every day! We stayed 3 days and got 2 of the very thin roles for 2 people.... They complained also because I knocked on the door as we only got one key.. I told them that we split up because my daughter was sick. She just said we could have found another way which would not bother her and didn't even ask how my daughter was. So we felt like we were disturbing them and shouldn't be there the whole time. It was really making us feeling uncomfortable so we switched to another Riad nearby and there were treated so kindly even though they only spoke Arabic there. Sink to small, everything gets wet when using it Room so small you can leave bed only in the front! Breakfast not tastfull One key only No cleaning of the room in 3 days Ugly cover at the top of the riad No payment by card although in booking description so I had to pay for taking more money at the atm Expensive for what is provided

Verified reviewWas a pleasant stay, but room had no heat facility, was very cold, no hairdryer as mentioned and other facilities, way too expensive for things provided. They don't accept card payment, only cash, no recipe provided. Hosts don't speak english at all. Breakfast was good tho.

Verified reviewGreat location, lovely traditional building and a nice roomy bedroom off the courtyard.
Difficult to communicate with owner (limited English) and no breakfast choice for Gluten Free (but this was expected). No room service or bins emptied during the week that we were there.

Verified reviewThe host were really nice. Location was great only if your google map works fine . Old Medina is like a maze. There is a posh restaurant just the next door. We wish if we could’ve stayed a little longer. Felt like home , nicely decorated.
There was no toilet door , only curtains though it was fine for us as we were a couple visiting.

Verified reviewGreat place with great hospitality. Just in the center of medina, traditional riad just to feel the surrounding. The owner takes care of guests, including some services like guide to the taxi (what is not so simple there). Great breakfeasts. Interesting surrounding.

Verified reviewThe riad is very beautiful and traditional. The water pressure in the shower was great and the wifi was good. The staff is very nice and welcoming, despite the limited English.
The breakfast was the same everyday and lacked some of the variety I’ve seen at other Riads in Marrakech. I was told I could pay by card but when I arrived, only cash was accepted. Also, the location is fine, but located very close to the leather market, which closes its doors at night and makes it hard to navigate — meaning many tourists fall victim to scammers who offer assistance with navigation and demand money after showing you the way out.

Verified reviewExcellent hosts, very clean, attention was given to every little detail in the riad, the room was very beautiful, would recommend 100%!! Super quiet place to calm down after walking all day in Marrakech. Location is very good, only 5' walk from the place the taxi leaves you (taxis don't go in the Medina). Host helped us book for a dessert trip too.
