Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs you might expect with a Riad in the central medina, there isn't much insulation between rooms or the central courtyard so you might want some ear plugs if a light sleeper. The street noise is minimal though and it was never bothersome to us. We slept fine!
Breakfast and dinner were delicious. A lovely introduction to Marrakech for us!

United KingdomThe location was great for us, because it was a 10 minute walk into the center, but quiet around the riad. For some the walk might not be ideal - it is trciky to find the riad at first, recommend taking the transfer with them to help you get your bearings.
the staff were very friendly & welcoming. We were lucky enough to have the space to ourselves & the staff were on hand day & night to offer help & advice on the stay & exploring the city. Really wonderful people.

ItalyOnly the position, I mean it's 3 minutes by walk from the taxi station but the riad is in a position that SEEMS a little bit unsafe and it's in an area of Medina a little bit dirty. Anyway it was only a feeling , we walked in the night and nothing happened.
Top staff and very nice riad; breakfast was excellent; high ceiling in the room, very clean

United KingdomYou're a bit further out from the main areas of the Medina and some of the streets to get back at night are quite dark.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the Riad on the last night and the food was incredible. Definitely our best meal in Marrakech.

AustraliaNothing!
This is truly a most beautiful riad. Its in a great location in the Medina, nearer to the top of the markets so you enter them near the souks -great to see. the staff were all lovely - they just wanted to make our stay as we wanted it to be : at our request, they lined up a guide for the markets on our first day, arranged a hammam etc. The room - especially bathroom - was exquisite. The first night we arrived, they made us dinner in the riad - and the breakfasts were great. We'll definitely be staying there again on our next visit!

TaiwanThe bed was pretty hard and it was difficult to sleep as it was kinda noisy and the mosque is so close. It blares at 5am. They only cleaned the room when I asked specifically and there were debris and dust from the earthquake left around the bed. It's just quite expensive so I would expect a comfier bed and a duvet. The room is beautiful though.
The roof terrace has alot of space for reading and sunbathing. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was good. Good coffee too. I was there during the earthquake and they were very kind and supportive and helped with dinner when things were closed etc. Internet was good.

United StatesThe location would be tricky for anyone to find on their own. We read the reviews and booked our airport transfer with Hossein before we arrived, and that meant we had a driver waiting for us at the airport and someone to guide us and carry our bags from the car to the hotel. The riad is not accessible by car, so you will need a guide to walk you to the door of the hotel from your car.
Hossein and the staff at Riad Tzarra were so lovely. anytime we had a question or ask they were very quick to help or offer a solution. Hossein booked us a great excursion day to the desert which we really enjoyed and took the stress out of figuring out the best tour guide and price for ourselves. The riad itself is beautifully designed and the room was very comfortable. There are also the gorgeous shared spaces of the rooftop, sitting room and courtyard which we enjoyed as an escape from our room. The location was central and a good place to explore the medina from. The food was top quality! Breakfast was great, and we had a GORGEOUS 3 course dinner prepared at the Riad that we had at sunset on our last night there. That was a truly unforgettable moment we will cherish forever.
