Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWould have loved the pool on the roof to be working.
The riad is an oasis of calm in the midst of the chaos of the medina. A fantastic experience. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was fantastic. Rooms we're spacious and comfortable. Close enough to walk to any part easily.

AustriaThe staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, thank you Fatima, Aziz and Ismail! The riad was beautiful with a lovely courtyard, nicely decorated, very clean and well-maintained. The room was spacious, cozy and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and so was dinner! Good location, right in the Medina, close to the souks, yet quiet. Tucked away in the narrow alleys, but easy to find with Google Maps.

We had the best stay in the Riad. The staff were amazing and you felt safe and well at all times. The riad is in the heart of Marrakech which makes it accessible to all places.

United KingdomA special thank you to Ismail and Fatima – they were wonderful hosts! Always available, responsive, and helpful with any questions or requests we had. Their warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The Riad itself is beautifully traditional yet equipped with all the modern comforts. The atmosphere was peaceful, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommended!

United KingdomFaultless - nothing not to like
The Riad is extremely well located, just beyond the main souks area, making everything really easy to reach on foot. That said, also very secluded and tucked away, so felt quiet and private despite being so close to the heart of the City. The staff were exceptional in their welcome, customer service, cleaning, cooking, also arranging the transfers to and from the airport. We had dinner at the Riad on our first night, which was lovely, and the breakfasts were generous and imaginative

RomaniaThank you Riad Villa Berna for the wonderful accommodation! The room was cozy and we had clean towels every day even if they weren't used or dirty. Aesthetically this is such a beautiful riad! We loved the Moroccan style aspect in every detail and the fact that it has real trees in the yard. The rooftop is so relaxing and you can see the Koutoubia from it. The riad is only a few min walk from la place Ben Saleh where the different tours and taxis have picked us up and where you arrive in the medina from after a short walk so location is perfect as well. The shower is hot. The beds were really comfy and I was happy we got enough rest by falling asleep really fast as we had packed so much fun in the short time we stayed so definitely worth mentioning. They're medium-firm and even though I'm a soft mattress kinda girl, these were somehow just perfect and lulled me to sleep right away! The breakfast in fresh, tasty and plenty, we were on tours mostly so only managed to enjoy one and what a treat it was! From the good food to the birds singing, the muffled sounds from the start of day in the markets and the morning light filtering through the trellises, everything was bliss! Another thing worth mentioning is how quiet it is and even during the prayer time, the sound is not loud enough to wake you up if you plan to stay in bed. You can bearily hear it and what you do hear only adds to the charm of being in an Islamic country with such a strong culture and rituals, we really loved that aspect of it. Thank you to all the kind staff who was at our disposition, kept our room always tidy and been so discreet and allowed us to feel at home We had tye key to the room and the main entrance so we would come and go anytime of night and day. Next time we're in Marrakech we'll book this same riad if it will be available ❤️

United KingdomLovely traditional feel. Very cosy & all the staff were amazing. As there are only 6 rooms, it feels so personal. Ismail & Fatima were so helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. It is tucked away, so it was good to use the taxi the Riad offer. Ismail met us and guided us to the Riad. We quickly got our bearings and found our way round. Fatima gave us a local map and highlighted the key things we should visit - that was so helpful. The Riad is in the Northern medina and about 10-15 minute amble through the streets & souks to the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa) - it's a great walk & we found different allies & streets everytime. Being slightly away from the main square is a real plus side as it means you see so much more of the medinas than if you were right in the centre.

United KingdomCan be a little difficult to find your way through the narrow streets of the Medina especially at night however Google Maps was unbelievably super accurate.
Fantastic authentic Riad. Beautiful fixtures especially the lighting. Staff were excellent and exceptionally helpful especially Aziz and Ismail. Like a little oasis (with great WiFi) in the middle of the chaos of the Medina ! Evening meal in the Riad was fabulous particularly the chicken tagine with olives and preserved lemon. Desert trip with quads was fantastic arranged through the Riad.

United KingdomThe Riad was gorgeous and quiet. It's location was perfect because we could be in the suk in 10-15 minutes by foot and some of the most known attractions were round the corner. The best of all, without doubt, was the staff. Fatima, Ismael and Aziz made our stay incredible. From the moment we arrived they were very welcoming and accommodating and gave us lots of great advice. They put so much care into every detail and always made sure we had everything we needed. In fact, my fiancé was looking for some traditional lamb tagine and we ordered it on our last day at the Riad. The food was incredible and outstanding and we had the best time! We absolutely recommend the stay at Riad Villa Berna to anyone who wants to have an authentic Moroccan experience and feel at home at the same time. Thank you for making it super special for us!

SpainThe Riad is very nice and friendly. The many motorcycles running around with no rules or discipline in the Medina, spoil the pleasure of going out for walks.
The Riad is like an oasis in the middle of a rather hectic atmosphere in the Medina. Fatima, Ismael, Asiz and the rest of the staff are great and very service oriented.

CroatiaThe room could have more storage space and hangers. There's no place to put your suitcase at. The lights could also be better, and the room had a moldy smell but I think this is the case in many riads cause they were built to be in the shade. Adding a dehumidifier might help. Please add a larger bin in the room. The pre-arranged airport transfer was 1h late. For 70e/night could be improved.
The location and staff are great. The room is comfortable but small. The decor is beautiful. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and served at a nice terrace.
