Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe shower in our room (Safia suite) doesn't have a screen or curtain, did partially flood the bathroom which could be avoided with a newer shower head or screen (although I do understand this would change the traditional aesthetic of the room. The riad is approx 5 min walk from the Jemaa el Fnaa and cars cannot access the property - this wasn't an issue for us but would be a consideration for those with mobility issues or solo female travellers as you need to walk through some quiet alley ways to access.
Beautiful riad in the centre of the medina, close proximity to the Jemaa el-Fnaa and other attractions/lots of restaurants nearby! The riad itself is beautifully decorated with a moroccan feel and lots of different areas within the riad to explore, our room was in the pool courtyard which was just stunning. There is a real sense of calm when you come in from the hustle and bustle of the medina and room was well air-conditioned maintaining a comfortable temperature. The breakfast served each morning was a delicious spread. Staff were very kind and helpful. We were two females in our mid 20s and felt safe the whole time in the surrounds of the riad.

United KingdomThe room was a bit dim, especially in the bathroom, which made it a bit difficult to get around at night! But very atmospheric as a result.
Had a delicious welcome dinner when I first arrived, and wonderful and filling breakfasts every morning. The setting and decor of Riad Yamina was charming. As for the room itself, it was cosy and did the job, with a much-appreciated aircon keeping us cool at night. We had requested a cot, but only found out upon arrival that it would be too small for our child. But the staff were very helpful in rearranging some of the (rather heavy!) furniture in the room to make a child-safe bed from the sofa. They were friendly and accommodating, and helped us to feel welcome.

United KingdomThe only thing was the toilet didn’t refill with water so we had to keep doing it manually. And the shower tap got so hot it burnt my hand when trying to turn it off. And it didn’t drain so was constantly flooding.
Location was great, staff very helpful and friendly, comfortable rooms

United StatesThe spa was lovely but it’s not what I’m used to in the US. This is not their fault at all just keep in mind that the culture is different and the spa experience is also different.
We loved our stay here! The staff were incredible and super helpful as well as accommodating! The food here is amazing, we had lunch and dinner and honestly it was better than most restaurants we’ve tried. The areas and our room were always clean!! The location is really on point just beware of the fact that after 1 pm there are no cars allowed so you will have to walk from the main plaza all the way to the hotel with your luggage. This was not an inconvenience for us but just something to keep in mind. We also scheduled our airport transport with them and it was super easy. We would definitely come back especially because the staff made it so much better!

United KingdomYou don't get a front door key, you have to ring the bell to enter, but they answer quickly so not a big deal at all.
Staff were really polite and helpful, location is great as it's really close to the main square which is very busy, but quite when in the Riad. Room (Mayer with private balcony) was excellent and the whole Riad has lots of places to relax. Breakfast was very good and overall i highly recommend this accommodation.

IrelandVery little to complain about
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Yamina52 and found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly and always available to assist with any questions we had. The Road is very close to the bustling main square but we found it to be a tranquil respite from the mayhem that is Marrakech!!

United KingdomNothing!
Absolutely beautiful Riad- staff incredible and so kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Our daughter is coeliac and they went above and beyond to accommodate her. We booked dinner at the road for our arrival and it was incredible and then rebooked again. We dinned at PepeNero and Cafe Arab which were lovely and really special but we still felt dinner at the Riad surpassed both these restaurants. We had treatments at the spa/hammamat the Road which were incredible- we are physios and would say they were some of the best massages we have ever had. The Riad is very well located and we felt safe qt too times. The rooms were so clean- clean towels every day and everything was. We would highly recommended Road Yamina 52 - we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to returning. Thank you for a wonderful holiday

United KingdomThe bathroom was beautiful but definitely dated with a couple of leaks. It didn’t take away from the stay, and we weren’t expecting modern facilities.
Beautiful Riad right in the centre of the Medina, lovely architecture with a nice roof terrace as well. The host Moha and all of the staff were incredible, very hospitable and lovely all round. The breakfast was massive and a great introduction to the traditional Moroccon breakfast. This was a really good place to stay for our first time in Morocco.
