How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe had a fantastic stay at Samira Riads in Marrakech! Samira Riads is a group of four beautiful riads, and we stayed at Reves d’Orient. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the Medina. The Riad is peaceful, charming, and very well kept. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, especially with our kids. They made us feel right at home, even offering free tea (Moroccan whisky ☺️) and delicious cookies! Our 3-year-old son liked the tea a lot and felt very comfortable around the team. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech and will definitely come back on our next trip. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay at your Riad—Shukran 🥰👌🏾

Verified reviewThis was one one the beste stays we ever had. The staff was very kind and respectful and always available. The breakfast was authentic, as well as the room decoration. Even if the temperature outside was above 45°C, the rooms were cooled to below 20°C. Cooled, filtered water was free, which is a very generous service from the hotel provider! Recommendable in every case!
Maybe some more signs on the road, in order to find the hotel more easily, if you do not have an internet connection and google maps available.

Verified reviewThe staff went above and beyond for my stay. Including making breakfast as much as 3.5 hours before opening time just for me. I cannot fault the staff for how friendly and helpful they were. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're planning on being in the markets a lot.

Verified reviewBreakfast was very nice, served on the rooftop.
We received another room than the one we had booked, a little bit of a downgrade, and were not told about it in the beginning. When we asked about it they were very honest about it and apologized. A very beautiful riad but note that these are three different locations so the room we had booked was actually in another location, all very close to each other however.

Verified reviewWe had a truly unforgettable stay at this beautiful riad right in the heart of the Medina. The location couldn’t be better — just next to the Secret Garden and a short walk from all the main attractions like Jemaa el-Fna square. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness by the extraordinary staff: Abdo, Fatah, Fatima, and Fatiha. They made every single day feel special and treated us like family. Thanks to them, we really felt at home. Thank you very much!! The riad itself is cozy, charming, and tastefully decorated, with a lovely traditional atmosphere. The views from the terrace were a wonderful bonus — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. Breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious, and we also had dinner at the riad on our first night — a fantastic meal full of flavor and made with love. For those looking to unwind, there are also hammam services available for guests, just around the corner from the riad — another great way to experience Moroccan culture and relax after a busy day. We can’t thank the team enough for making our stay in Marrakech so memorable. Highly recommended!
There were really no negative points about this riad, but if I had to mention something, it would be that sometimes there was a sewage smell in the ground floor room. That said, I believe it’s more of a general issue in Marrakech rather than something specific to the riad. In any case, the staff was always attentive and did their best to resolve it quickly.

Verified reviewStaff was amazing and breakfast in the roof top was really good.
The family bedroom was very noisy. One of the beds was located in a staircase landing, next to one of the main door entrance to the property. As a result we could hear every single noise.

Verified reviewLoved breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Secret Garden. Loved that we were in the Medina but it was so peaceful. The breakfast was different every morning. Top marks for the spread. It's a traditional house so we would hear voices from the courtyard below, but they had a quiet time rule between 10pm and 8 am (i think) so it was never a problem.

Verified reviewVery clean, comfortable, traditional
It is hard to find. Be sure to call the owner when you are close by in the Madina, i.e. the narrow alley ways. They will come and meet you. Don't let a local guide take money from you to guide you in.

Occasionally when it rained it would bring a smell of sewerage, but again this is to be expected and is part of the experience of Morocco

Verified reviewGreat location in the Medina with just a 10 minute walk to the main square. Fantastic breakfast on a terrace overlooking the Secret Garden was a highlight. Hotel worker Ismail gave great local advice..
The mattress in my room (top floor) is uncomfortably soft and squeaky and should be replaced. The room though is great.
