Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The staff were so lovely and accommodating the rooms themselves were stunning! On arrival we were welcomed with Moroccan Tea and biscuits and were give a map and information about places of interest and the best ways to get there. The location was just so convenient. We had a late flights and they were able to accommodate a late check-in out. I look forward to returning soon.

United KingdomNothing could have been improved as far as I was concerned.
I loved everything about it. The staff were exceptionally helpful, dinner at Karmela delicious and breakfast at Zineb excellent with so much choice and nice to sit up on the roof terrace. Bedroom we had was incredible, big and comfortable. And most of all, the place was so quiet that you wouldn't believe you were in Marrakech.

GermanyNothing,
The location was absolutely perfect! Close walking distance to the Souk Market and the main square. Staff at the main reception(Riad Karmela) is one minute walk from the Zineb and are always available. Pre booking TokTok is easy and convenient from the Karmela main desk. Ability to change or get Dirhams on site is worth everything, bank machines are limited in square, often run out of money and there are huge lines…this was a top tier benefit. We are a family of 5, so we were staying in our own little apartment with a large bathroom, a room with two twin beds and another larger room with a king bed and another twin. It was perfect. At the Zineb we were looked after by two exceptional young individuals Doha and Omar; their warmth and caring for us was second to none, they spent time with us, making sure we were always looked after, they are beautiful souls and I wish them well always.

United KingdomThe riad was amazing - huge and beautiful room, always clean, access to both swimming pool and jacuzzi which is great when there are 40 degrees outside. But what really made the difference is the staff, they were all so polite, friendly and helpful. Fatima, Amine, and Aymen, you guys are amazing!

United KingdomOn Booking.com it states check-in is from 07:00 but the hotel said check-ins are from 12:30. It wasn’t explained to us when we arrived that the evening meals are served in a nearby hotel that is part of the chain.
The hotel was an quiet oasis in the middle of the bustling medina district of Morocco.

Location was perfect, easily walked to everywhere we needed. Shop owners always happy to help if we got lost. The Riad was a calm and beautiful oasis where you would ALWAYS get a great welcome and any help you needed. The sound of birds and beautiful plants and trees, plus a couple of little tortoises! Treatments were a bonus as I hadn't realised they did those as well. Also though we planned to eat out in the Medina most days, after a day travelling we really enjoyed our relaxed evening on the roof terrace with a musician and delicious tagine, would do that more next time. As I said I liked everything.

Riad Zinep is a lovely Riad in the middle of the Medina. It has a wonderful designed backyard with a pool and a big Rooftop, with cozy sunbeds for tanning. We booked with breakfast and were delighted by the many fresh fruits and Moroccan baking specialties. Very very tasty! Also the waiters were very friendly and courteous. Our room was also facing the courtyard, as is common in riads. Very clean with traditional furnishings. We especially liked that we could feel very safe thanks to Hamza the security and he was also always there for us when we had questions. Thank you very much!

United KingdomNothing at all! I just wish I had more time in Marrakech to use the hammam in Riad Princess Karmela and enjoy the roof top in Riad Zineb. Next time!
The whole experience of staying at this group of riads (Karmela, Princess Karmela and Zineb) was excellent from start to finish. The welcome was lovely with mint tea and biscuits offered to me on arrival, the late night dinner the chef made for me despite my arrival after serving hours, the beautiful decor of the riads and the unique features of each of them, the friendly staff and their good humour. Everyone had time to chat to us and offer suggestions for what to see and do in Marrakech. If you want to experience living in the old medina, down winding souks where cats lounge around, small shops entice you with their wares, and Marrakech citizens go about their daily business, this is the place for you. It is tricky to find if you are completely new to the city but if you arrange a taxi transfer through the riad the driver will drop you off in a nearby square and someone from the riad will meet you and take you the short walk to the entrance. Just to add, I was quite a complicated guest, as I had family arriving to join me on different days and many food/taxi/room requests but the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much effort for them. A special mention to Joel and Amine who deducted the cost of one night for me because some family members arrived a day late, many thank you guys!

United KingdomThe pathway to riad Zineb, is a little narrow and could do with some better signage as Marrakesh is really like a labyrinth of streets.
The riad was very nicely decorated, and the sun terrace for breakfast was very welcoming.

United KingdomThe hotel was a little too quiet and it almost felt like staying in self catering apartment. There was no permanent staff on hand to ask questions etc. The room was pretty but not that comfortable, the door didn't shut properly so there was a big gap at night - it was fine when we went out as locked via a padlock. The bathroom window didn't shut properly so we were using the bathroom whilst people were outside our window having breakfast! Bare bulbs in the bedside alcoves didn't look very nice and were extremely bright! The roof terrace could be gorgeous but the furniture smelt of cat urine and was covered in cat fur - I love cats but this was a bit off-putting.
The riad was very authentic and pretty. I liked the pool, the courtyard with beautiful orange trees and the roof terrace. It was very quiet and a lovely oasis from the chaotic medina. The location was good as it was quick and easy to get to everything. The staff were helpful and not intrusive. Price was good value compared to other riads in the area. The staff at Riad Karmela which is the sister hotel were very helpful and this was a lovely place to have dinner.

United KingdomIt’s situated right in the Medina so getting there is either by a tuk or walking. No vehicles. We have to leave taxi further away and walk. We were a bit surprised about the Medina location, it’s very busy and streets dirty etc, so not your typical resort type environment. You will need to expect to be in a very local very central area. But it’s an experience. Breakfast options could have been better. We booked a whole week here but opted to reduce our stay as we wanted to stay outside the Medina for a few days, they agreed for a refund which was good, but I did find the reception staff a bit rude when we mentioned we wanted to cut short our stay. If you are booking consider Karmela or princess , we stayed at zineb and it was a bit isolated in that the reception was actually at riad karmela, zineb was another building and at the end of a street.
The old charm, spacious room, really friendly and helpful staff who even made reservations for us at other restaurants and booked our tickets to jardin Majorelle. Really delicious food. Beautiful inside the riad and very quiet
