The drinking glasses in the room were very dirty, clearly hadn't been washed since previous stay. The drawer had wrapper of crisps in it. Towels were very worn out and some torn with old stains on them. Very disappointed by the cleanliness and maintenance of basic amenities.

Location was excellent to explore medina.

- Parts of the riad were in need of modernising/refreshing, for example the terrace furniture was showing signs of age and other parts were a bit tired. - Room didn't feel the cleanest we'd ever stayed in but did the job for the 2 nights we were there. - As other reviews have mentioned, this size of room (safari twin) is small - with narrower than usual single beds - but was fine for a short stay. [NB you likely wouldn't want to swim in the pool, it is more of a decorative feature].

- Great location not far from the main square. - Spacious and quiet terrace to relax. - Good and tasty breakfast. The staff also kindly prepared us a takeaway breakfast when we had an early start one morning. - Traditional architecture albeit in need of a bit of a refresh.

I had to wait a long time for the room, despite it being ready. The owners also talked in their language about us and it made us uncomfortable.

I liked how big the room was and the shower was nice.

You have to order food. I asked for food and they said they could not give me. I asked for breakfast too, but I was too late. They did offer to make something after, but I declined.

The rooms were comfortable. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was a typical Moroccan breakfast! I like we could get fruit and youghurt. Excellent

There was a group of people staying in rooms next my room, they were very noisy, sometime shouting up until 03 00 am, which made it very hard to sleep.

The breakfast was good, with local Moroccan foods, tea, and coffee, My room was small, but had everything I needed for one person. The room was very clean and cleaned everyday. The hotel location was perfect for the souks and attractions.

Despite the location being close to the medina and jamma square, the streets leading to the riad are dangerous, especially in the late afternoon/dinner.

Air con leaked on 3rd bed through the night making the bed virtually unsleepable in. Rooms small with poor lighting. Food average.

Unfortunately, when I arrived I was told that rooms were under maintenance and we (2 rooms) were moved to a different Riad which did not have the amenities of the Riad Africa, I was really disappointed as I had chosen the Riad Africa for the amenities, Spa treatments, restaurant etc... I wish I had been told this a few days before I arrived, so I could have cancelled and booked another option. I was really upset, but decided to not say anything, as there was nothing that could be done as no rooms available (I booked this over 2 months before arriving to be told no rooms available on arrival).

Not able to give a review as never stayed in the Riad I booked, instead got moved to another Riad on arrival. Will give an 8 as all the staff were lovely, but I wish I had stayed in the Riad Africa.

It was a slight shame that I did not get to have a view, only having an internal view. It was a bit tricky to find, having to go through back allies to get there.

Very nice little Riad in the heart of Marrakech. It offers a nicely laid out and relaxing vibe when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The price/quality ratio was excellent.

I had chosen my accommodation meticulously, looking for details I like. Therefore I was dissatisfied when after a long travel our family were rerouted to another riad - Explore, the explanation that they are one chain was not suitable, as this was not stated on the booking page. The other riad had a small cold pool, undeveloped roof area, and cold-feeling decor (white, silver, and arctic explorers).

As to the riad we actually stayed (Explore) - staff were very kind, provided us with a great early breakfast before our Sahara trip (even hot pancakes). Rooms looked fresh and beds were comfy and décor was actually nice and good quality. Even kettle with teas was inside room. Breakfast was tasty and had enough variety.

Location was perfect for exploring the delights of the Medina. Hotel staff were exceptional, nothing was a problem for them :-). Big shout out to Riswan who came out to collect me from a nearby Riad when I was lost in the back alleys.

Finding the place was not easy. Taxi drivers drop by the nearest roundabout, and then you have to walk for 5-10mins in a pedestrian street (with mopeds and bikes) to find the place. This was a shock to us and would have liked an exact location confirmed plus also someone to meet at a drop off point.

The place was very authentic, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was tight but acceptable as the Riad is quite compact. The location was close to the square.

I had some issues with construction noise and a blocked drain, but this may be specific to my experience. It would not stop me from booking again given the low price.

Terrific price! Friendly staff. Convenient location near key sites in the Medina. Lovely terrace for sitting outside. Tasty breakfast included.
