Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. United KingdomThis place is an utter delight… A wonderful location in the foothills of the Atlas, and perfect for relaxing. It was wonderful to just immerse ourselves in the beautiful gardens and drink in the scenery. What made the trip really special was the warmth of the welcome and hospitality from the hosts. Nothing too much trouble, and the food was excellent. Will be back for sure!

United KingdomFantastic hotel in a fabulous location and set in amazing gardens. Such a relaxing experience after the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Our hosts looked after us really well. Fayrouz is passionate about cooking and prepared varied and exceptional dishes in the evening. Such a pleasant change from the usual taglines and was definitely the best food we had in Morocco. They arranged taxis for our arrival and departure and also a morning’s sightseeing of the local area. Nothing was too much trouble. The swimming pool with a backdrop view of the mountains was very welcoming. Plenty of places to sit and relax in the grounds, in or out of the sun. We ate our meals outside on the patio and there is a comfortable lounge area to retreat into. They even lit a fire for us on our last night. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a fabulous relaxing break.

We loved the surroundings, it was very tranquil and serene with the olive trees and beautiful gardens around the property. Our room and communal areas were beautifully decorated and the perfect escape away. Bouchine was really helpful in suggesting places to go around the area for lunches to accompany our walks. The food was such a wonderful addition to the stay. Fayrouz is a fantastic chef and the selection and commitment to each dish served throughout our stay was wonderful. We particularly enjoyed the ice cheese, and pistachio dessert! Would highly recommend staying here. Thank you both Bouchine and Fayrouz.

AustraliaEverything was perfect.
The villa style rooms are set in a magnificent olive garden, with two pools and many small niches to sit and relax. The communal dining at the main house is intimate and has a quiet lounge area too. The chef, Fayrooz, produces spectacular, experimental, eclectic dishes. By far the most interesting food we have sampled in Marrocco. The location has local walls and sits between Ourigane and Imlil. Both of which offer day hikes. Imlil can also be used as a base to climb the highest peak and mountain biking.

The location and grounds are exceptional. The garden is an inviting place to relax and rest. Ideal for anyone wanting to get away and completely unwind. The accommodation was comfortable and private. The hotel owners were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and the evening meal was a real treat and much thought had gone into the menu using fresh produce.

United KingdomIf you are a light sleeper you will hear the morning call to prayer from the nearby mosque (4.15ish). WiFi connection at the pool and lounge areas was good, however at our room halfway between the two zones signal strength was poor. Fairly steep mark up on drinks.
You will not starve here! We were the only guests all week, the amount of work Tamatem put into our dinners was phenomenal. She is a talented cook, showcasing her work on Instagram and YouTube. Each night we were served an eclectic mix of dishes, Offerings of cheese, fruit, meat and vegetables, an interesting blend of sweet and savory. The only distinct course being dessert. So many tasty dishes, "Cauliflower in chocolate crumb" and "Aubergine in chilli chocolate sauce" both deserve honorable mentions. But the stand out dish was "Pastilla", a special treat. Breakfast is good standard fare, coffee, orange juice, yoghurt, bread, butter, jam, cheese, egg, mint tea. The property sits well in its environment, with abundant rustic charm. Lots of shady places to sit in the gardens. The pool area is ideal for relaxing and cooling off. Poolside facilities (wc) kept fresh and clean. We found the propriators friendly, helpful but unobtrusive. Whilst we were there some of the rooms were being refurbished so should be nice for the coming season.

CanadaLe Sel d'Ailleurs, just like its name implies, takes you away and somewhere else. This expansive property is located in the middle of the olive groves, next to the valley of Ouirgane. Located at a height of almost 1000 m, it enjoys a perfect mountain climate -not too hot and not too cold. Built and restored over twenty years by its owners, Sel d'AiIlleurs features free-standing traditional stone and adobe structures that house the rooms. To get to them, guests are invited to go across the olive, cactus and rose gardens that separate the main lodge from the rooms, which are surrounded by expansive jasmine bushes -charm and absolute calm and privacy are guaranteed, The pool is located at the end of the property, beyond the rooms and provides sweeping views of the valley and the high Atlas mountains beyond. Meals are taken in the main lodge which consists of three well appointed living rooms with a beautifully curated collection of furniture and pieces of art. The owners have created a unique modern space combining eclectic art with traditional Moroccan elements, vintage radios and furniture, and contemporary painting and photographs. Cozy and inviting places to enjoy a good read and a good drink. The dining room is located next door and dinners (included in the experience) are set menus based on the day's fresh ingredients and the chef's imagination. No two meals are alike and every little dish is a surprise which the chef will present and comment. The rooms are very large, featuring traditional building materials -rustic and cozy. Here again, the decoration is highly personal and cozy creating a warm and inviting atmosphere and restful nights. Sel d'Ailleurs is as an experience as well an exceptional stay that is further enhanced by extremely friendly staff and caring hosts. We will be back to further explore this beautiful area that a stone's throw from Marrakesh.

United KingdomWhat could’ve been better were the breakfasts which were the same every day. Also our towels were not changed at all and we were there four days. The toiletries in the room could’ve been of a better quality. Dinner on the first night was good and we had high expectations, but on subsequent nights the dinners were disappointing and some of what we were given were very weird, for example filo pastry with marmalade. On one night we were given cold tough steak and we were feeling quite hungry by the last night.
The location was beautiful. The gardens were delightful and peaceful, and although the pools were cold, it was lovely to sit by them.

NetherlandsBe aware of unproportionally high prices for the lunch. We were shocked to find that we had to pay 40 euro per person while we had paid 47,50 for the stay + breakfast + dinner. The food was ok and definitely prepared with love, but not worth it for that price. Rooms (and especially the shower) are a bit outdated but fine.
The swimming pool with a beautiful view alone is worth staying here — such a peaceful place with a gorgeous garden. We went horse riding and paragliding and really enjoyed the scenery of the surroundings.
