How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe enjoyed our second stay at the O Experience very much. The staff is very welcoming, the selection of surfboards is great. Like last time, the breakfast and dinner was exceptional. The location is by far the best in all of Imsouane, if you want to surf both the Bay and Cathedral. Muhammad even gave a couple of one-on-one surf lessons to our 12-year-old. Great experience for the whole family.
All in all great place to stay. In our two rooms, some of the fixtures in the bathroom were coming loose, but that's really a minor thing.

Verified reviewOnly 6 or so rooms made the property feel intimate and welcoming and the views to the surf in the bay were amazing. The food was fresh, tasty and made with love! The staff were incredible and always ready to help! Overall a great place to go if you’re looking to surf and disconnect from the craziness of modern life for a few days.
It would be great if the local business owners could come together to organise a regular beach clean or create employment for a local person to clean the beaches. Personally, I’d be happy to make a contribution to my bill to facilitate it! It’s a shame to see such a beautiful place tarnished by the volumes of plastic waste on the beaches and surrounding area.

Verified review- Legendary view of the magic bay - staff are engaging and helpful. Shoutout to the housekeeper - she’s amazing! - yummy breakfast (could be bigger) - the aesthetics are absolutely beautiful - cutest hotel cat in town
- restaurant is a bit expensive for dinner (lunch affordable) - there was a clothing brand photoshoot happening at the same time as our stay, meaning we didn’t get to comfortably enjoy the communal areas as much

Verified reviewThe lodge was aesthetically super pleasing, good architecture and nice decoration, which made our stay really comfortable. The view to Imsouane's magic bay beach was amazing. People in the village and staff are really friendly! Great option for surfers or slow living enthusiasts!
Breakfast was excellent but you could only choose one plate, one drink and Moroccan coffee/tea, when we ordered a plate of fruit and an extra cup of orange juice it was charged, same thing for the expresso. During our 6 days stay the room was only cleaned once. Bring cash as there is no ATM in the village and credit cards are not accepted, except for two restaurants.

Verified reviewBeautiful hotel in the heart of Imsouane! It has been recently renovated but they have mantained local essence! The property is beautiful with unbelievable views, super friendly staff (front office, restaurant and cleaning lady, thank you for everything really!). Perfectly located at the heart of Imsouane and next to the main beaches where you can surf during your stay. Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend staying for dinner at least for one night! We stayed at the top room with ocean view, something that I would highly recommend too as the room was spacious and the views from the terrace were crazy! Imsouane has a wonderful vibe and soul which is difficult to explain if you haven’t felt there but we have travelled all around Morocco and only lived it here. I would go there asap before the town gets very urbanized!! Thank you for everything I hope we can be back!
The only thing I would say is that the top room faces the main road from one side and it would be nice to put something which prevents the road noise from coming into the room. The hotel surf lessons were a bit overpriced compared with others around what we believe it would make sense to adjust! Other than that, our stay was perfect!

Verified reviewThis is a small, well-decorated establishment with only 6 rooms. The food presentation is pretty, but I think the general quantities of food could be more generous. It is great that the hotel provides filtered water for the guests, though. The location was good, even if the images are rather misleading, leading the reader to believe it is on the first line of water. Still, the view is gorgeous.
Almost all rooms overlook a single small courtyard area with lounge chairs, which offers a view of the sea. However, it's difficult to feel intimate when the room requires open windows to stay cool in the summer heat. A fan would be a helpful addition. We were fortunate to have a room with two large, opposing windows, allowing for better airflow, though it did mean other guests could easily see into our room as they passed by. Also, the food was a bit expensive, but that's becoming more common for tourists in Morocco these days. Plus, there are a lot of renovations right next to the hotel, so there is a lot of noise; it is not their fault, but it took a part of our Experience.

Verified review- Super friendly and helpful staff. - Lovely breakfast - Super clean. - The views… Wow! - Didnt have to remond them for a baby cot and they did every think to accomodate our son’s needs - New hotel , no AC but didnt feel the need for it.
- Only downside was the smell of the towels sometimes but I didnt Even ask to replacement them as it wasn’t that bad. - would be perfect if they could give beach towels too

Verified reviewThe breakfast options are fantastic, and it was a really delicious breakfast with great views of the early morning surfers. We loved the room design and the location with great views of the surf cove.
The wifi was not incredibly strong. There were also lots of flies in the dining area, which I'm not sure is easy to fix, but it detracted from the meals just a little bit.

Verified reviewSuper friendly staff and well designed property steps from the beach and surf break. Restaurant was also very good with plenty of healthy options. Beautiful views of the bay.
Town is under reconstruction. And there's a lot of street dogs which bark into the night. But that's not the hotels fault.

Verified reviewModern accommodation with sea view, sun terrace and filtered water for hotel guests only, relaxed atmosphere and delicious breakfast. Surf instructors and equipment offered.
Not directly on the accommodation but on the surrounding area: We were there 3 months too late, half the village was demolished, especially on the coast. The buildings and restaurants next to the property are no longer there. Unfortunately, the charm of the surfing and fishing village has been lost.
Hello Miriam. We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy Imsouane. Please note that around us the plan to develop Imsouane involves a nice public area with plants and sitting areas to watch the waves of the bay. As everywhere change takes time and we truly believe that it will not be for the worse.
