How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. I would not recommend having dinner there. It's expensive and really nothing special. Breakfast is also limited. Having a comfortable shower is almost impossible.

Verified reviewThis place has a fantastic rooftop terrace with a spectacular view. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. Bathroom has everything you need. The host did his best to make us feel home.
The host charges extra for a glutenfree breakfast, but it only consisted of rice instead of bread. The extra charge was not in proportion. But nevertheless, it was a delicious breakfast.

Verified reviewThe place was super cute!! We loved the authentic feeling. The view was really nice from the balcony! The bed was quite comfortable too. Our room was very cold, it was winter, but when we asked for a heater Rashid, the owner, supplied one. It was a very easy 10 minute drive to Ait Benhaddou.
The owner was nice but a bit too present when I was wanting to sit on the balcony alone. I felt like I wanted my husband with me at all times.

Verified reviewThe Kasbah (building) itself was beautiful and the living/eating room was really nicely decorated and cozy. The room was big and looked really nice with a Moroccan bathroom.
Like most bathrooms in Morocco, there is (almost) no hot water and/or no pressure at all. The food (Chicken Tangine) was still cold inside and the breakfast bread and local "pancakes" were like concrete, not eatable. I think the very nice guy who had to do everything by himself, had no time to cook or do the shopping for all the guests. I hope the owner will take notice before the place and reputation goes to shambles!

Verified reviewYOU MUST STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Its very well suited for Family with childern or kids. You can visit/Trek other places near by apart from Ait Benhaddou which is 1 hr distance. Staff is really BEST. You feel like you travelled back in time when you stay in this hotel. He prepares fresh breakfast. My recommendation is to stay for 2-3 nights so that you can imbibe all the near by beautiful landscape and nature which are just 1 hr distance from this hotel. DONT MISS THIS HOTEL ESPECIALLY FAMILY WITH CHILDREN.

Lack of duvet, just only a bedsheet, throw and dusty blanket from the other room to cover yourself. It was the end of November and the temperature is really low at night these days. Lack of a warm water to take a shower in the evening despite of asking for that. Little breakfast.
