I think the hotel is a great experience. The facilities could be better. But that’s Morocco.

There is no doubt that the position of the Kasbah is fantastic. It is the perfect location for rock climbing in the north Ant Atlas mountains.

I first stayed at the Kasbah in 2013 for a rock climbing trip and it felt so much better then. On subsequent visits (two others more recently) there has always been a problem with the hot water for showers. But the prices for staying there have now become prohibitive compared to other accommodation available. It is very cold in the rooms, but the bedding helps with this and we found out later that we could have asked for a heater for the room. The change of dining room means no views and no windows and it is a very dark space. The previous dining room was much better though I understand the kitchen was very small. The food was good and adequate but minimal portion sizes compared to meals out in Tafraoute. I think that many climbers are choosing not to stay at the Kasbah now because of the price increases and this is very sad as it is the perfect location for climbing in the north of the Anti Atlas.

The building and location are stunning. Food is great and staff excellent. Good hot showers.

Rooms were cold, in hot weather this would be good but during the winter months you needed to wear a coat in all the rooms. No change of towels or daily housekeeping in the room.

The wonderful setting in a fortified village surrounded by mountains. The very comfortable bed & the amount of space in the suite. The peace and tranquility in the suite.

Our Booking.com reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included however the Kasbah said that this was not the case and wanted to charge extra for breakfast. The soap and shampoo in the bathroom were of very inferior quality given the prices charged for the accommodation.

The setting - unique, sensational. The bed - very comfortable They had heater in the room (it was very cold when we were there) - but see below Staff were very friendly and helpful

The gas heater gave off unpleasant fumes The inability to use credit cards in a hotel that is at the top end by local standards Lack of clarity over meal options, limited menu and relatively high cost - note that guests are, in effect, a captive audience due to its location Also, breakfast was not included in our 'package' whereas others staying (who booked direct) did have inclusive deal

Amazing place to stay; like being in an Indiana Jones film. Lovely staff who couldn't be faulted.

Our only quibble would be the cost of the restaurant which was pretty expensive. Not too say the food was not excellent, as it was, but it was surprisingly pricey.

Wonderful location, good food and good portion sizes, very helpful staff, water was safe to drink.

Increased prices since we were last there, albeit that is common to a lot of places.

It's an experience, not just a stay. The kasbah is awesome - like spending a night in a Game of Thrones episode. The staff were lovely Dinner was good, if a little overpriced. It's ok to take your own wine. Contrary to previous reviews the beds were not too hard and the hot water worked.

the rooms are a little spartan. clean, but basic. be prepared for a lot of steps, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues it's a long way up, and the lanes within the kasbah are cobbled/uneven. and in Feb it was freezing! take fleeces, hats, scarves- ask for extra blankets.

A unique chance to stay in a restored authentic kasbah, winding alleyways, feeling like a tiny hamlet, superbly preserved. The work behind the restoration must have been immense. The staff was so friendly.

The food was unfortunately not great. Some was good, most was forgettable amd definitely let the place down. I suspect the cucumber juice gave us the runs. I would still recommend, owing to the unique setting.

My 3rd trip to the Kasbah, the owner (Jamal) has clearly spent a lot of time and effort improving facilities. My room was excellent, all of the staff friendly and the food very good. This isn't the place to go if you want wild nightlife or a beer after a day out (there's no bar), but if you want to see dramatic mountain scenery from an historic location this is the place to go.

I'm struggling to think of anything.
