How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe place was amazing and the staff were always here to answer any questions and requests
Beautiful property, even if the Riad is in the middle of the city it was really calm and peaceful

Verified reviewBright, clean, quiet, very charming and helpful staff. The pool is very clean. The room was really nice and spacious and clean. Very spacious bathroom. The decor is contemporary Morrocan.
The bed was a little too firm for my liking (but that´s just my preference). The roof terrace was nice, but the shower didn’t work very well. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room.

Verified reviewBreakfast was a lovely selection of fruit, yoghurt, omelette, fresh breads/pastries etc served to the table. the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We arrived early evening and the owner helped us get a table reservation, which was so helpful. The Riad is down a very small alleyway and you wonder where you are going to but once inside its like an oasis of calm. The accommodation is on the edge of the medina and Souk but is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned and very comfortable and clean.
It was quite a high sided bath and difficult to get in and out to shower, personally I would have preferred a separate shower but it wasn't a massive issue.

Verified reviewThe staff here are what makes it so wonderful, their friendliness, how hard they work to make your stay perfect. The riad itself is tucked at the end of a tight and quite smelly alley but once you step inside it is so peaceful, serene and you're transported to a little haven. The rooftop is a gorgeous and quiet sun trap. Breakfast is lovely, plentiful and served with a smile and a great start to the day. We had an evening meal which was beautiful! Overall they couldn't be more helpful and made our time in morocco great.
The drains were a little smelly BUT I think that's a morrocco thing not a riad utopia thing! The pool is cold and id say more for show than using!

Verified reviewThe hotel was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and kind, the facilities were super clean. The design of the hotel and rooms is quite elegant. The hotel is around 15 minutes away from the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa) and the way there is through the Souk so it is quite a nice walk. The hotel is super quiet and cozy, like an oasis. Breakfast was fantastic, it included eggs (which many hotels don't include) and a great fruit bowl with yogurt and oats on the side.
I wouldn't say it's a dealbreaker, but the room itself is smaller than what appears on the photos.

Verified reviewBreakfast had a good variety. And the times served were convenient. Upon check in the concierge sits you down and goes through a map of Marrakech and highlights destinations. It is so helpful and thoughtful. The road was beautiful and quiet. It’s a bit hidden for first time arrival, so I would recommend getting the airport transfer through them. But when you leave you can easily find a taxi.

Verified reviewOur stay at the Riad was nothing short of amazing! We were greeted with warmth and kindness from the moment we arrived, and every staff member was great. However, one person in particular who made our stay unforgettable was Ayoub; indeed, his attentiveness stood out—he welcomed us, took the time to explain everything about the surroundings, answered our questions, and even provided excellent restaurant recommendations, which were incredible! He was always ready to help with a smile and an AMAZING amount of positive energy, and we felt that Ayoub was a big part of our experience. The riad itself was beautiful and impeccably clean. Our room was spotless every day, and the place's ambience was filled with a wonderful scent (I even asked the staff, haha). The bed sheets were freshly ironed daily (I met true happiness), and the mattress was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was simply outstanding. Every morning was a great experience; you could tell the cooks knew exactly what they were doing! We even had dinner on two occasions, as we were exhausted from full-day hikes, and I must say, the meals were just as exceptional as any restaurant outside the Riad—very traditional, and thoughtfully put together. The location was also perfect—just a short walk from the main meeting point for most tours in the Medina. It was incredibly convenient and saved us time when heading out for excursions very early in the morning.
N/A. Overall, there’s nothing negative to say about our experience.

Verified reviewLocation was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hamman was excellent.
The property is punching above its weight based on the price. Over priced on the suits, would have expected more, as the facilities were the same as a standard room. No tea coffee facilities, only 1 bottle of water for the whole stay, no slippers with the bathrobes (disappointing when having to go to the Hammam in trainers). The safe in the room was broken and the flat screen tv did not work due to poor internet strength, cables dangling not a good look. Locks on the doors need to be replaced with a proper handle and need somewhere to put a do not disturb sign.
