How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified review🛌 Cosy and comfortable room, very clean too. Very nice bathroom amenities. The riad itself is beautifully decorated and feels really warm ☕️ The breakfast was excellent, just a well made traditional Moroccan meal 📍Worth mentioning the great location in the center of the medina, near everything you’d need really good
Just some minor details : 🏘️ The small street leading to the riad was blocked once and was a bit dirty sometimes, but no big deal 🍶 Water was not refilled at all during the stay

Verified reviewGreat location, on a quiet alley. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace was superb. We also had dinner on our first night which was excellent. Our flight was late arriving and they stayed to cook the meal fresh for us.

Verified reviewThe Riad was located in a quiet side street but in the center of the old town, a great location. It was beautifully decorated and furnished and our host was very knowledgable and helpful, he made some excellent restaurant recommendations and booked our taxi and porter, which was helpful. Our bed was super comfy and the room quiet . The breakfast was served on a wonderful sunny terrace, beautifully furnished with low balcony walls to protect you from the wind. It was overlooking the old town and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with the chef cooking from fresh in the terrace kitchen. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this Riad. We wished we could have stayed longer.

riad is across a school 'yard/garden' over a wall, so during many school breaks there's a bit of noise

Verified reviewBreakfast was incredible. Delicious, generous, varied every day!
We must have just been unlucky but we were woken each night by street noise, being the first floor and windows looking out onto the street. One night a loud cat fight, another night by a loud human fight - as mentioned, I'm sure it was just unlucky that two very loud very angry men were fighting at 3am outside downstairs below our room.
Many thanks Molly for your great com. We’re always happy when our guests enjoy their stay with us. Breakfast is a special and delicious moment everything morning. Sometimes people speak loud in the street as we are in a authentic medina special after ramadan time. Usually our little street is very quite. Hope to see you again.

Verified reviewLocation is great in the medina I travel alone and it was my birthday which I did email before telling them. I asked to have a massage something special but in the end I went else where as didn’t feel like they made any effort. The mattress and pillows were amazing so I slept very well. It was very clean and tidy. The roof terrace looked lovely but couldn’t eat breakfast there due to weather which was a real shame.
Communication wasn’t great leading up to my stay. No window in my room. Other guests could sit in a seating area right outside my room at night talking. This was annoying and the light on didn’t help. Breakfast was very basic

Verified reviewThe location was perfect for the medina and a short walk from everything in the old part of the city. The staff were helpful and communicated well. Our room was comfortable however, during the day and evening there could be quite a lot of noise from people and children down the alley -This is to be expected in a city and it was quiet at night. Breakfast on the rooftop was fresh and delicious, and it kept us going for most of the day - be warned, the gulls enjoy it too! So let staff know when you are leaving your table, otherwise they will raid the plates! The rooftop was relaxing and you could hear the crashing waves of the sea.
It would be improved if the riad was able to manage the smell of cats - they are all over the city and it is obviously tricky keeping them out, but the smell could be very strong in places, especially on the rooftop, where you eat breakfast and relax.
